I was driving towards raytown missouri for a birthday party and asni was driving over a railroad track, my car startee making noise and acted as if it didnt want to go. So I later found out that my transmisaion fluid had leaked and now the transmission case needs to be replaced due to the tracks on the road.

We only have chevy's however our Malibu 2010 with only 73,000 miles while driving on the interstate at 65mph it suddenly stopped going. You can accelerate but it doesn't not go forward or back. It was late when it went out and a very dangerous situation. Our car was purchased and maintained from dealer and at this mileage with no warning, no noise, no fluid leak, nothing. Situation is very frustrating. I'm not sure I'm a gm fan anymore we will see how the respond to this situation.

In October of 2009 I noticed the shifting of vehicle was erratic and improper. Car would act like it would not shift or if it did was really labored. November of 2009 as I pulled into work transmission exploded. Had towed to dealer said repaired/ replaced/rebuilt, was back with more problems only to find out parts were replaced backwards onto transmission fixed that only for me to return again for transmission issues. Now again the car acts like it wont shift properly will not attempt to go sometimes, was back at shop, they said they couldn't find anything wrong. So now I have made a video and have taken pictures of transmission fluid leaking from pan under car. I am afraid to take it back to where I have been going because when they have attempted to repair its worse or in same condition,so have appointment today with another auto mechanic to try an diagnosis. This is the fifth time I have had my 2009 Chevrolet Malibu in for defective and dangerous transmission issues.

Automatic transmission housing is coming apart due to the gears grinding together. This condition causes transmission fluid to leak. Vehicle had not been to a dealer for service.
