Violet shaking when applying brake caused by warping of brake discs. I've had to have resurfaced 3 times since ownership & it's going back in for the 4th time. Dealership says nothing Chevrolet can do about it! most of my driving is highway.

We have attempted to get this matter taken care of with the dealership and the manufacturer and have been told that the pads and rotors failing on the 1999 Monte Carlo every 8,000 miles is a normal occurrence, and neither will stand by the warranties that they give nor will they repair the defect.

In wet weather you can't stop car, on the highway if you step on the brake pedal it is very hard. Often car will go 200 yards or more without any brakes before they engage. There is a special policy on this but didn't help.
