14350 unintended ignition key rotation. I have tried 3 separate times, over the past year, to have this taken care of by calling crippen auto, lansing, mi. The first time I did not have the VIN number. Ok. The next three times I was sent to service voice mail. I have left a message each time regarding this recall. Not once has anyone returned my call. Today my husband is physically going down there to try and get a service appointment. I am tired of trying to deal with this dealership.

Noticed smoke from the passenger side dash by the door upon investigation notice the smoke was coming from the fuse box on the passenger side, upon further investigation I noticed the a wire coming from the fuse box was burned as well as the fuse box was burned also, after this happened other electrical devices started showing doors ajar, dome lights stay on all of the time, rear defroster stopped working, the body sensing components are not working, I am afraid the this is going to cause a fire in the passenger compartment as well as making it a danger to drive, this has been discussed in multiple forums stating that 2002-2008 Monte Carlo, impala and other vehicles have this same issue.

1. )cannot drive with the brights on because it will unexpectedly trigger all lights to fail and you will be driving blind in the complete pitch black night. 2. )the speedometer, gas gauge, and temp gauge haven't worked since about 75,000 miles. I purchased this car brand new and have had it serviced as needed. This is a factory defect, not something that was caused somehow by me. I think that it is ridiculous that I have to deal with these defects with my own money when I specifically purchased a brand new car so I didn't have to deal with problems of the vehicle that one would associate with a used vehicle. The brights issue could literally kill people, I'm sure it probably has.

After I contacted the dealer, the appointment was made to repair all recall issues. Received notification that all parts were at the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealer, was told it would be a three hour wait. Drove approx. 100 miles to dealer (bill gatton Chevrolet-Cadillac). One recall issue was resolved, resulting in another appointment to be made when other parts arrived. No precautions were made to ensure vehicle protected against service department injury to vehicle, ie, no paper mats placed in car, dirt inside car, and keys left in the vehicle on the dealer lot. This vehicle has been maintained in a pristine condition, (51,000 actual miles). Has never been driven on salt or under any bad weather conditions. The dealer even commented that the vehicle appeared to be brand new. I would welcome a customer satisfaction survey for this dealership.

2001 Monte Carlo ss; I've had many different occasions on where the car just dies while I'm driving it. They had a recall for the "ignition key" I took it in, they "fixed" the key-not the ignition, and still, to this day, the vehicle continues to die while driving, which includes loss of power steering completely. Luckily, I have not had a car accident due to this issue, but it's still scary when it happens. It happened again today, 5/29/2015 while driving and completely lost steering control when it died.

My father n law, n I were going to see a family member 12miles away from his home, when we stopped. At the convience store for snacks, etc. . . We literally couldn't have been out of car 5 min, when store clerk yells hey someone's (chevys) smoking? we saw it was his n went to investigate the problem I went straight to driver side of vehicle n popped the trunk(thinking it wasn't more than a blown radiator hose) lord n heaven was I wrong, the engine looked as if it were all on fire. . . I immediately pushed hood down n ran for an extinguisher luckly the store had a good one. This recall as the country n state n manufacturers, call it is seriously deadly, to b 100 percent honest it is flat out wrong. Something this deadly should b notified to all current owners, of the vehicles. I seriously doubt he would have ever purchased it used or new if he knew what could have happened if my(kids)his grand, were w us. Mistakes happen. Own up to them! that's what makes u who u are. Hopefully you won't damage him more with making this a 72yr old man who know has to pay more time,$$$, n just life for a mistake he didn't commit.
