The four wheel drive system broke, the yoke or universal joint gave out at the front differential. The dealer and general motors are saying it had to be due to working the truck to hard, or beyond the abilities of the truck. No one took any steps to see if any of these parts had a defect, the question of a possible defected part was raised, and quickly dismissed!!!!!! this my warning to any one who is thinking of buying a gm truck. Do you really have any warranty coverage?.

The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 hd. After the vehicle was driven 65 mph and then parked, the contact noticed transmission fluid gushing out from underneath the vehicle. He later discovered that there was a crack in the rear transmission adapter, caused by a faulty universal joint. The dealer has repaired the vehicle. The current mileage is 85,000 and failure mileage was 83,000.
