Consumer states that while driving and no warning the windshield wiper will work intermittently and it will hard for the consumer to see during rainy weather. Dealer notified ts.

Consumer stated on 3 separate occasions the windshield wipers stopped working, the dealer replaced the circuit board which was cracked at the solder joints, there was a recall regarding wiper issue, however consumer was informed that vehicle was not included due to the VIN. Ts.

Interminttenly windshield wipers became inoperable obstructing the drivers view. A recall has been called on similar makes and models like 1996, using the same part. Dealer has been notified. Please provide further information.

Consumer was having problems with windshield wiper circuit board, causing it to switch on/off automatically while driving. Consumer states that vehicle is not included in recall 98v150001.

Consumer stated that while turning the windshield wipers on or attempt to turn them off, they would not go off. Sometimes when consumer turned them off they would stay on and then stop randomly in mid swipe and generally became uncooperative. Took to dealer and they replaced delay module.

While driving at night on the interstate, in the rain, the windshield wipers stopped working. Consumer was able to pull over, and after windshield wipers switch was turned on and off numerous times, they started again. Dealer replaced windshield wiper mechanism.

Windshield wipers don't always work. Sometimes they will turn on but not turn off. Delay function almost never works. Several times they have failed to work at all.

The windshield wipers have worked intermittently for at least the past 6 months. Nhtsa campaign I. D. Number 98v150000 was identified and the vehicle was taken to a Chevrolet dealer for recall. The dealer said that the VIN was not listed on their recall. I contacted Chevrolet and they indicated the same. This is a safety problem that we will correct at our expense versus a recall.

While driving in heavy traffic the windshield wipers do not remain in contact with the windshield to adequately clear it, the consumer believes the problem is temperature related because when the vehicle is taken to the dealer in the warm shop and the vehicle is not moving the wipers work fine, possible design flaw.
