6 Tail Light problem of the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 01/23/2007

General safety complaint about several makes of vehicles. Many vehicles use their headlights as running lights and they come on automatically. Drivers, in seeing their headlights on, do not realize that their taillights are not on and drive with no taillights. I first noticed this in a driving rainstorm when I suddenly came up on a car with no taillights. Through the spray that he was kicking up and the driving rain, it was almost impossible to see him. This alerted me to the fact and I started looking. Approximately 25% of the newer vehicles had headlights on but no taillights. I recently rented a Chevrolet blazer . I left my hotel in the dark with my headlights on. It wasn't until I got to my destination and went to turn off my headlights that I discovered I had not turned them on. I strongly believe that headlights should not be able to be operated without taillights being on .

7 Tail Light problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 09/10/2005

1. Other than several recalls for a faulty tail light, which still does not work properly on 2002 Trailblazer did not have any major problems prior to the incident on September 10, 2005. 1. While driving home on about the evening of September 10, 2005 my 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer with 47,427 miles suddenly groaned loudly and rapidly decelerated approximately 1/4 mile from my house. I was able to get home at a speed of about five mph. When I arrived home I contacted my mechanic who said it sounded like a transmission problem. My mechanic looked at the vehicle and told me it was the transmission which he was unable to repair. He suggested I contact my dealer as he felt the vehicle did not have high enough mileage to warrant tranmission failure. I contacted tillery Chevrolet in moriarty, nm where I purchased the vehicle and spoke with mr. Glen tillery. He asked if I had purchased the extended warranty package. Upon hearing I did not purchase the extended warranty package mr. Tillery gave me the approximate price for his dealership to repair my vehicle. I felt his price was high and the dealership is located approximately 50 miles from my house which was too far to drive my vehicle in its condition. I received recommendations from other people and took my Trailblazer to budget transmission in albuquerque, nm. Budget looked at the transmission and stated it needed to be replaced which I authorized. When I picked up my vehicle the technician informed me my transmission failure was due to a faulty sunshell. The price to repair the vehicle was $1,813. 68 3. The repairs included a rebuilt transmission and torque converter. The original parts are not available.

9 Tail Light problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 06/15/2005

I have replaced the light bulbs on the back of my car 3 times and asked the agency to replace the whole part or casing after I found a recall that the taillights were defective. I informed Chevrolet of where I found the recalls , I was told this website is only opinions from other people that don't know what they are talking about. I was told in the agency that the problem was only on 2003 models and not 2004's. The agency said they would replace the whole part anyways but the next day a police officer almost gave me a ticket because he said I failed to indicate I was going to make a left hand turn on a one lane road. I've taken my car to the agency twice for that problem and obviously they haven't replace the part. My car is less than two years old and it has given me problems beyond that one.

2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer - purchased in may of 2003 off of the sales floor - around 5 miles on it - truck began squeaking - took it in, they said bad break pads, changed them out and gave it back (2 days without truck) - squeaking still there - took it back in - service tech said the front spindle was bent - told me I couldn't drive it it was unsafe (5 more days without truck) - at the same time they take truck to body shop because rear hatch won't shut it too is bent - same with the hood (hmmmmmmmm!!!!) - rear wiper motor then busts (now I'm erked) - driving down the highway at 55 and truck shuts off - no power steering almost wreck it seems the gas gauge is not accurate!!!!!!! - then blower motor won't shut off without taking fuse out . . . No heat in rear heaters, climate control doesn't work (yet a few more days without truck)- the last straw - my 9 month old truck has a broken transfer case and the 4-wheel drive went out - of course the 4-wheel drive went out on a steep hill in the middle of winter - not acceptable in alaska not acceptable in a new truck!!!!!! - had to get out of a defective truck so now we are stuck with a brand new tahoe that is $10,000+ upside down! you decide who is wrong in this case!.
