Exterior Lighting Problems of Chevrolet Trailblazer - part 1

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated while driving 55 mph at nighttime, the low beam headlights started flickering, and then became inoperable. The vehicle decelerated and veered to the side of the road. The contact engaged the high beam headlights and continued driving. The contact stated that he replaced the low beam headlights relay several times. Additionally, the contact replaced the low beam headlights switch, bulb, and fuses; however, the failure persisted. The local dealer and a second dealer, pohanka Chevrolet (13915 us-50, chantilly, va 20151) were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The contact related the failure to gm campaign number: n140291. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.

The headlamps have quit working when driving at night but will come back on later. This has happened several times. I found gm recall number 14291 that is supposed to include 2006 chevy Trailblazers and pertains to this problem. The local dealership told us that our vehicle has a VIN number that is not covered. It would seem that all model 2006 chevy Trailblazers would use the same hdm modules in them when they were built. Is ours covered?.

Keeps blowing #46 headlight relay. Happens every 2-3 weeks. When this happens the low beams stop working. I have to switch to high beams to continue driving.

Just need a recall sheet for shipping vehicle.

Low beams sometimes flicker on and off and then at night while im driving they will just go out and stay out.

My headlights turn off bybthemselves while driving, other times they wont turn off at all after car is turned off even while in park, and other times they turn on while switched to off position randomly in the middle of te night resulting in a dead battery come morning. My driver window no longer works as well as driver power locks. Happening since 2020 random at first now permentant removal of fuse switch in order to shut off lights and the fuse switch is hot to the touch upon removal.

While driving both low beam headlights turned off. This has now happened on more than one occasion.

While driving home at approximately 9:30pm, my eighteen year old daughter experienced the headlights failing to come on after dark with the automatic headlight-on feature. She turned on the headlights manually, and the low beams still were not working, but all driving lights and high beam headlights were working. I assumed that the bulbs were burned out, so replaced both the driver and passenger side bulbs. The low beam headlights still failed to come on either automatically or manually. I googled the problem, and multiple people have reported this exact same problem, and some stated that there was a recall due to this problem. I am unable to find either a recall or a service bulletin for this issue.

Lights go on and off setting still.

While driving down the interstate at night my dim lights went completely out and would not come back on. I had to drive the remainder of the way with my bright lights blinding cars in front of me and in coming. Since the first incident this has continued to happen.

Most recent, I am driving down the road my head lights go out. Nothing else, just the main head lights. All. Otjer lights stay on. High beams work, parking lights stay on. This is not safe!!!.

While driving on several occations during the day or night. The front daytime running lights and or the front headlamps just shut off. This has happened driving at highway speeds and just sitting at a traffic light. Very dangerous at night!!.

When it is dark outside and you put the vehicle in reverse, the lights next to the back up camera causes the screen inside the car to show bright white. There is no way to shut the screen off when in reverse. I have turned the brightness all the way down but it is still very bright making it impossible to see your surroundings safely. I have almost hit a tree and drove into a ditch trying to reverse at dark. This is very dangerous and needs to be fixed. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.

My gas gauge is sitting on bottom instead of top where it's supposed to be. I don't know how much gas in my car. An I have 2 small kids an one has a heart condition. An I'm on a fixed income. An also my head lights go off an on all the time day or night.

Parts been acting up on me. Been having numerous problems with hydraulic hose on steering, windows/locks electrical and been constantly replacing wheels and hub bearings.

Low beams stopped working, took it to the dealer who replaced both bulbs and it worked for a couple weeks now low beams randomly shut off while driving, especially at night. Airbag sensor keeps turning on and off and the horn stopped working. The airbag sensor seems to come on more on longer trips around the city with more turns.

My clusterboard is completely non functioning the readings are not working.

Break lights are not lighting up but light blubs are good something to do with wiring with break lights.

Both headlamps went out same night. High beams work. Checked fuses all are fine. Very dangerous as high beams are not meant to be used in this fashion. I see there are recalls on same model other years.

Leaving from work at night and when car initially was turned on, the low beams illuminated, but then went off. I had to drive home using fog lamps and high beams only. They never did come on in a 25 minute drive. I see that this is a common problem with this make and model, and it appears that the 2006 are in a recall for this, but not the 2005. Very unsafe! my kids are supposed to drive this car, but now I'm not so sure!.

My 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer head lights go off when I'm driving down the road. They do come back on after I stop for a minute or two. I can't drive my vehicle at night because of this issue. I looked up my Trailblazer using my VIN number and it said there were no recalls on my vehicle. I've had other issues with my vehicle to. :(.

Tl- the contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the contact detected gas coming through the vent. The contact mention that the check engine light was illuminated prior to the failure. The contact also stated that the vehicle instrument panel does not illuminate and speedometer does not work as well. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the fuel pressure regulator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 153,000. Dr.

Head lamps go off at night while driving won't come back on , stabilitrack shuts off an warning bells go off for no reason. Now out of the blue transmission will not work. Only has 1st and 2nd, while driving on any road in town or on. Highway.

While driving at night I have an intermittent problem where the headlamp low beams just go out. I have moved relays around but it doesn't correct the problem. I have been stopped by police several times because I am blinding other drivers because I have to drive with brights lit. I see they recalled the 2006 and later models for this problem. I work at a shop and we see , on average, 10 per year that are 2005 and that's just in our small community. If I set a half hour, sometimes an hour then the dims start working again. The most recent time was may 5th of 2018.

L-contact owns a 2007 chevy Trailblazer - contact stated vehicle is over 150,000 miles. . . Dealership stated repairs need to be paid for. . . Contact stated headlamps cut off at night at random times. Headlamps cut off in traffic at night while contact was on the road. Contact had headlamps cut off on road four times. . . Contact contacted chevy dealership about issue. . . Dealership quoted 330. 00 for parts to fix. . . Dealership stated recall had to be paid for due to vehicle being over 150,000 miles. . . Contact received recall letter from chevy in may of 2017. Recalls associated with this.

Low beams go out while driving down the road. Not every morning but 2 to 3 times a week this happens to me. It is dangerous but it doesn't really scare me anymore. It has happens while driving down the road, when I stop at the end of my road.

My driving lights turn off and on while im driving I took it to check and they said is a factory problem with electric system but my lights turn off while im driving.

Flasher module, transmission leak evening after replacement, upper control arms goes out after replacement.

My passenger side light has not been working due to the wiring melting and not being able to get this fixed. This problem should not happen.

While out at night headlamps and running lights suddenly stopped working. Lights were operabler when I left home but noticed they were out as I was returning. Fuses and bulbs are good.

I pulled into my garage and shut my truck off but my doors wouldn't unlock. Then it started making funny ticking sounds and all my lights inside started flicking and my windows all rolled up and wouldn't go back down so I could get out. After about 20 minutes or so I turned it back on and was finally able to get my door unlocked to get out. Now when I touch anything my other windows go up and my seat starts to move on its own. My driver's window is stuck up and won't come back down. I have 5 kids and can not chance something happening and us not being able to get out safely.
