I first noticed the problem oct. 2016. The low beams went off on my 2007 chevy. Trailblazer. I stopped at an auto part store and bought new lamps, when I went out change the lamps I noticed that my lights were working. So I didn't change lamps. Then it happened again on 04/2017 and again they came back on then received this notice in the mail, and though the time limit hadn't pass the mileage had. If I had received the notice sooner I would have had it fixed then. I was driving on highway at the time! I called the 800 phone number on the notice I explained the situation to the person on the phone and I told him that had gone over 150,000 at the I had gone over 3,000 miles, he told me that my car would be taken care of and he gave me a case # ( 8-3085956921) he said someone call me with in 24 hours. After 2 days someone called me and said that could not repair my SUV because I had gone over the 150,000 miles.

I bought this car used in 2009. It had about 60000 miles on it. 1) the first problem I had with it was a burnout of the hac blower plug, that part of the wiring harness had to be cut out and replaced wth a completely new plug( both halves) and rewired in for a cost of 125. Oo and 3 hours of labour. I looked this up on the internet very common problem 2) rider side door control panel stopped working with strong odor of burnt plastic. Again looked up and found there was a recall, but only 2006 vehicles 3)brakes burn out of rotors only on rightside- left side rotors were fine, brake job with replacement of 2 left rotors I front piston amd all 8 pads 650. 00. Failure occurred while driving on city street 4) failure of ignition switch with erratic electrical function of running lights, radio and dashboard instrumentation. Happened on the road early twilight very dangerous had to get a local toll for 75. 00 all of these failures have made me very wary of driving this vehicle. They occurred at various times over last 4year some have been repaired as noted above. Presently waiting for igniton system repair.

The low beam headlamps fail simultaneously. This occurs while driving at night. I have replaced the hdm solid state relay twice, but after a time. 6 months to a year, the failure occurs again. Once the hdm module became to hot to touch upon failing. This last time, the third, the lights may come on again after some time has passed. It is as if the module is short circuiting or overheating leading to a short circuit.

When driving with headlamps on low beam, intermittently both headlamps will go out. This happen to me while driving down a steep, curvy, highway on a rainy night. I was facing an oncoming big truck, in a sharp curve. Dimmed my lights and everything went totally black on my vehicle. All I hear is the horn of a big truck as the driver is trying to avoid my vehicle. I called my dealership and took my vehicle in only to be told that this make and model is not on recall, yet. So I am out of pocket for the repair, while other gm vehicles are on recall for this same problem. Called gm, was basically told, no recall, your problem. I have been a gm customer for 30 years, not anymore.

There is an existing recall but my vehicle is not covered according to gm. The recall headlamps that do not illuminate reduce the driver's ability to see the roadway and reduce the vehicle's visibility to oncoming vehicles, both of which increase the risk of a vehicle crash. Recall number: 15v519000 my car experienced this same exact problem and I had to get it fixed at a chevy dealer but now gm is refusing to reimburse me or consider this part of the recall because of where the car was built.

Also while driving the kern canyon hwy 178 taking the curves my ingine shut off and steering and brakes locked up this has happened several time while driving at 20 mile speed.

"takata recall" was driving down the highway doing bout 70mph and I hear a nosie on the roof and then I saw my whole 3rd break light asmbley break off and fly into the air and almost hit the car in back of me this can cause a major accident if it fly's off and hit a car in back of you and I was doing research online and saw its a common problem with these SUV its a poor design and needs to be recalled before somebody dies.

My daytime running lights low beams come on and off, I replaced the driver control module relay, the bulbs, fuses under the hood, and the multifunction switch. My light's still come on and off. I don't know what to do now about this matter. Please help me. It happens on stationary, in motion on city and highway street at random. I have nothing to upload the work has been done by me. This has been going on for just about 3 months now, I can't drive at night.
