I received a notice that my 2013 Chrysler 300 was under a recall for alternator issues. I already had noticed that my vehicle warning lights had flashed the alternator with the lightning bolt twice recently. Then my cruise went out, abs service light came on and stayed on and my traction control light came on and stayed on. The days after I reviewed the recall notice I schedule an appointment to have my car services at carl gregory in savannah GA, off abercorn st. When the service person took my car I identified the issues and he said that he will check it over to include checking the wheel sensors. Noting the wheel sensors specifically, made me a bit suspicious. Later he called me and stated that a wheel sensor went bad and it was not relational to the recall notice. He said he has the part and it would be $187 to fix it. I stated that the notice states that the wheel sensor could be impacted. He said, no sir it reads the module not the sensor and they are not close to each other. I find this technicality not fair to the consumer and I feel that this should be included in the recall. My car has 39k miles on it, is serviced regularly and has never had an issue. I find it hard to believe that the cruise, abs, and traction control going out at the same time has nothing to do with the recall.

On the afternoon of 11/5/2014 I was driving at a speed of approx. 45-50 mph when I noticed my 2011 Chrysler 300 making a whining sound. Shortly after that I smelled what seemed like burning plastic. I was backed out of my driveway and proceeded down the street when the abs and esc light both came on at the same time. I saw on the internet that this same defect was in 2011 and 2012 cars and they were being repaired. I was told by Chrysler that this would not cover my car even though the risk is the same.
