On August 18th, 2025 around 6:45 pm, our anti-lock break system stopped working, started smoking and caught fire. The fire came up through the engine under the hood and melted everything. There were no warning signs. Just smoke and flames. Luckily we were able to pull over and exit the vehicle. The fire was extinguished with 2 fire extinguishers. The car is a total loss.

When taking vehicle for test drive about a month ago, the check engine light was on and after driving it, I noticed when ac was on and when off, the car loses power. When I go to pull out it has no power and I almost got hit in the side every time I would pull out from a busy highway. They had check engine light looked at and they said computer told them it was air valve leak or something like that. I had appointment for them to further assist and they said they could not find anything wrong. I can hear where the valve might be leaking at. The brakes are not good. I had to put on the brakes today fast and brake pedal acted like they were gonna skid out from under my foot. Brakes are new so why is it acting like I have no brakes and there is barley any acceleration. Something is going on and I don't want to be in a car accident just because our warnings are being over looked.

My rotors warped with 5,260 miles and dealership would not cover the issue stating it is wear and tear. The brembo brake calipers are large and creates to much heat and causes the rotors to overheat and warp.

I purchased the Chrysler 300 touring of may 23, 2023. This was suppose to be brand new. After, a week, the car was having issues in the steering and I had too report the car dealership because they were giving me a hard time but finally, after, reaching out to corporate, the car dealership, fixed the steering and added an addition warranty. Now, there’s something going on with the tire pressure. The tire pressure for this car shouldn’t be at 28,29,30 and 31. So, now, every time, I have a local tire place to check the tire pressure, the air continuously lose pressure. So, today on Dec 12, 2024, in order to stop, my brakes went all the way down to the floor and that’s not normal. So, there’s something wrong with the brake lines. I’ve been having issues with this supposedly be brand new car since purchase. The week after purchasing this car, because of the steering before it was fixed, I almost got into a car accident. This car really, really scares me.
Something with throttle it will shake and slow down at a certain speed.
While driving my child to school a short while ago today, my car accelerated on its own and would not brake. I was attempting to stop for an upcoming red light. The car accelerated without me pressing the gas and the brakes went completely out. I was able to avoid a collision. This lasted for under 1 minute, then suddenly the car decelerated and I was then able to brake.

Over the last month I noticed that my brakes would feel funny sometimes, like they were going to just grab suddenly vs stopping slowly. Then yesterday, 2/27/24, I received a warning that my esc and abs systems needed service and that I no longer had awd capability. The message would stay on for several minutes, then shut off for several minutes, then come back on again.

This vehicle was involved in a tragic car accident. The passengers both suffered deep laceration to the skull and other vital parts of the body. There was a recall notice that was sent to the owner 4 months after the fatal accident had occurred. Based on police inspection of the vehicle, they’ve determined there was mechanical failure to the vehicle which can be seen through a police bodycam at the police impound lot. The front passenger suffered a 6 inch deep cut to the skull according to the medical examiner’s report. The child in the rear also suffered a deep laceration to the ankle and foot despite being restrained in a child seat. Driver suffered a graze cut to the side of his head and survived the tragic accident after recovering from a coma he stated that the brakes did not function properly when depressed moments prior to the accident. Data recorder from the vehicle shows the driver was depressing the brake pedal the entirety of the time up to the moment of impact. This vehicle was t-boned by an SUV, and this accident should have been survivable, however the passenger seat looks to be torn out of its brackets according to the pictures from the accident scene. I am requesting this vehicle be investigated as there are many vehicles similar to this one that could have dangerous defects which were outlined in the safety recall notice that was mailed to the owner. The safety recall did mention to stop driving this vehicle immediately, however this notice did not arrive in a timely manner to where anyone could have taken action immediately. I am requesting that this vehicle be inspected for not only the safety of the community it’s but for identifying why two people lost their lives due to a manufacture failure that could have been prevented if notification was sent in a timely manner. Thank you and I look forward to following up with someone regarding this immediate and dangerous concern. I have the original letters and when they were mailed to the owner.
No recaller.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving 30 mph the abs and traction control warning lights illuminated. The warning lights remained constantly illuminated whenever the vehicle was started. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the abs module needed to be reprogramed. The independent mechanic informed the contact that the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 06v493000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,200.
I am concerned that a possible safety issue, such as brake failure, with the brake system has gone unrepaired for the past two months. Issues: 1. There is an obvious safety problem with the brakes. 2. The dealer, Chrysler/fca/stellantis are not able to repair this problem. The vehicle is available for inspection anytime. We purchased this vehicle brand new on March 31, 2022. The brakes shudder every time upon application especially when going down hill or during a deceleration from high speed. It becomes worse as the brakes heat up. This problem may have always been there but has become worse. The manufacturer's dealer (we bought the auto from this dealer) reproduced the shuddering on September 7, 2022. The service writer stated that brake rotors would be replaced under warranty. Two months later, both the dealer and Chrysler customer care claim that the rotors are not available. No date for availability was stated despite my many requests. I am concerned this serious problem can lead to a major accident and has not/cannot be repaired by the manufacturer.

This has happened a few times. First , I started my car, after being driven for awhile, then it immediately shutoff and the abs system, traction control, emergency brake, and other lights lit up on my dash and showed in messages “service power steering,” “service abs system,” and “service electronic stability control. ” meanwhile, my power steering goes out, brakes, and air conditioning stop working with all the lights on my dash lit. Then, when you park and turn it off, it won’t start again. Doesn’t even try to start. This also has happened while driving and I had no choice, but to drive it or be stuck an hour from home at 1am. This not only puts others in danger, but myself with no brakes and power steering.
The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the abs, traction control and brake sensor warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed; however, the contact was informed that parts to repair the vehicle was on back order until 2023. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 117,000.

Can c bus: its a typical issue with the 2011 Chrysler 300. The main code for the can c bus "u000200" after the scan tool, the issues found are abs can c bus off performance: bcm (body controller module) can c bus off performance, sccm (steering column control module) can c bus off performance, radio frequency can c bus off performance. All affect the safety and driveabilty of the car. The car drives and in the midst of driving the car stalls in traffic, the car vibrates really bad, the car seems to lose power on acceleration. Please take a look into this, as this is a common issue with the Chrysler 300.
Abs system failed. Front axel disconnected and now needs replaced along with both cv boots. It is now effecting the carrier barring (drive shaft).

Every time I shift my shift knob from drive to reverse or vice versa. I hear a clunk in the transmission. Like as if my transmission is slipping.
The abs control module for several Chrysler vehicles is unavailable for purchase at this time. The abs is effectively disabled as a result of lack of parts. When I spoke with a dealer parts department, there were hundreds of these modules backordered with no fulfillment date available. The part numbers necessary for my specific vehicle are 68195727aa (original) and 68210119ab (replacement). I am concerned with the loss of anti-lock braking ability for hundreds of Chrysler vehicles.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the instrument panel showed that the service brakes and electronic stability control warning lights were illuminated. Vehicle stars but will not move forward or backwards, it rolls forward when in park, have to use the emergency brake to stop. Car will not accelerate or reverse; it's just stuck . Had it physically moved to the house until I can repair it.

The contact stated that the failure occurred at various speeds, requiring that the brake pedal be depressed with excessive force. The contact stated that the abs and esc warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that while braking following a curve in the road, the rear end of the vehicle started swaying slightly to the right and left. The contact stated that the warning lights were constantly illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that one of the wheel sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact had not taken the vehicle back to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. When using cruise control on freeway brakes are applied for no reason causing the car to come to a sudden stop at freeway speeds.
I was driving slowly, under 10 miles per hour, when it just up and died on me. Tried to restart, but would not. Let it sit for 5 minutes, pushed the gas pedal and held it half way down and vehicle started. But would not idle. Tried to hold pedal and put it in drive. To limp it home, but died when engaging drive. Long story short, it wont start or run unless you give it gas, will not idle in park, neutral, reverse or drive, and there have been hundreds of complaints for this. That being said, I'm assuming someone has to die in an accident, maybe several lives lost before you decide to take this seriously. You people do realize what happens when an engine stalls while driving yes? loss of brakes for the most part, power steering, acceleration, the list goes on. . . Now put someone behind the wheel that doesn't know how to react. But I guess y'all missed that portion of the class, or you just dont give a shit.

This is the second time I've had to pay to replace the abs hub (complete axle) due to rust/rotting. When the abs ring rust or rots, the abs module becomes confused and activates intermittently. I was driving the vehicle and the brakes locked intermittently causing a very dangerous situation. I stopped thinking that it would reset something but it happened again. I had to take it to a repair shop once again and now I've had to pay over $1,000 for the rear axles and now $1,000 for the front. Axles have to be replaced each time. These rings should not simply rot and cause a dangerous situation!.

Parking brake wont engage/latch/hold. Passenger side seatbelt wont click in place or hold.
I brought a 2019 Chrysler 300 in July 2019, in September 2019 my wife was backing out of the driveway, she said the car suddenly accelerated without warning. She stated that she pressed the brake and it didn't stop the car. It continued to accelerate until it finally stopped after going up an incline into the neighbor's yard and hit a tree.
When the transmission is cold the vehicle stalls having no control over forward or reverse motion with dangerous side bound traffic instances while refusing to shift with rwd rear axel severe vibration sensitivity causing total rwd rear axel power loss & coiciding transmission abnormalities. Powertrain malfunctions/dysfunctions resulting in a dangerously faulty suspensions stability & braking pressure strength causing pull in passenger side direction where vehicle seems dangerously the weakest & exhaust fumes abnormally recycling into vehicle cab system. Only has 140k original miles. Manufacture defects now becoming death trap & safety disaster to potential lives of others.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 300. While driving, the power steering stopped working, the anti-lock brake indicator illuminated, and the steering wheel turned on its own. Southfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (28100 telegraph rd, southfield, mi 48034, (248) 331-9937) stated that the anti-lock brake module caused the failures and needed to be replaced. On my way to work I stopped and put $15 dolalrs in the tank I was just below a half tank now. I drove roughly 5-10miles and when I was driving around 30mph the oil can light came on and then my steering got tight and brakes got tight. It was like they went out. My car engine then shut off and I coasted to the shoulder the best I could. This almost caused a large accident. I tried starting the car immediately after it made noise but would not start a couple minutes later I started it and the car started fine.
Ignition module not functioning implausible vehicle speed. Preventing the vehicle from stopping. Ab.
The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler 300. While driving 35 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the abs malfunctioned and the brake pedal pulsated. As a result, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle. Prior to the crash, the back-up camera failed and it was difficult to start the vehicle. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The contact sustained a minor injury to the shin bone from the air bag deployment. Medical attention was not received. The contact stated that a Chrysler representative inspected the vehicle's data recorder, but was unable to retrieve a failure report. Naples Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram (located at 6381 airport-pulling rd, naples, FL 34109, (239) 594-2100) was contacted, but there was no response. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and issued case number: cair35003857. The approximate failure mileage was 290.

Brakes-- I was not having any brake issues at all before this happened: I started braking while pulling into a hotel parking lot but the brake petal went right down to the floor and I had no brakes! I put the car in neutral and pushed down on the emergency brake. I went up a curb but at least didn't hit the building. I had the car towed, explained what happened, and the auto repair shop couldn't find anything wrong with the braking system?? and then, of course, it happened again. I had a different place look at the braking system and I think it was a master cyclinder problem. Electrical- the car has turned off completely while driving, even on the highway. I have to put it in neutral and restart it. Cam shaft sensor is being replaced next week and hopefully that will fix the issue.
