The contact pulled the vehicle over to a fuel station where it currently remained. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or dealer for diagnostic testing. 2 Engine Knocking Noise problem of the 2013 Chrysler 300

I can hear a very loud knocking noise in the dash behind my instrument panel. It starts each time that I turn on the heater, the ac and defroster. This loud knocking sounds continues even when my car is turned off. Also there's flaking noises in my engine/transmission- my car is under 35k miles.

3 Engine Knocking Noise problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 06/12/2014

Engine begin making a loud knocking noise steering wheel locked up could not turn or do anything with the car. I immediately put hazards on, noise stopped car began to slow down until it completely stopped. Car would not start back . Later found out it was do to oil sludge built up. Oil light never came on when the oil was out causing engine failure.

4 Engine Knocking Noise problem of the 2007 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 11/08/2010

No warning. Car all of a sudden died when driving down the street with 2 children in backseat. Almost rearended by an SUV. Car would not restart for about 1-2 minutes. When it did finally start had a knocking noise and other sounds. Vehicle had no power to go very sluggish. Had car towed the next day to dealer. Warranty denied claim due to oil sludge.

5 Engine Knocking Noise problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 02/12/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300c. Upon starting the engine, the vehicle immediately stalled. The engine was restarted and immediately began to exhibit an unusually high increase in rpms. The contact then heard a loud bang noise coming from under the hood followed by the engine stalling a second time. Upon further inspection, the contact found the engine block and large deposits of oil on the ground. The vehicle had not been diagnosed by the dealer and there were no prior warnings. The current and failure mileages were 78,000.
