The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. While driving 10 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. In addition, the vehicle failed to start and the horn failed to function. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuses needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags); however, the part needed to repair the vehicle was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The VIN was also included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v567000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was 95,000.

2011 Chrysler 300. Consumer writes in regards to safety recall for vehicle the consumer stated Chrysler failed to notify him about a major recall and they failed to correct the recall issue in a timely manner. The consumer came across the recall, by reading about it in the newspaper. After confirming, his vehicle was included in the recall, the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the repairs were made. Recall #12v197000.

Failure Date: 07/23/2007

This is in regards to my brothers vehicle presently he is deploying to iraq- on July 23 his 8 month old Chrysler 300 went up in flames-- the military police found no foul play and Chrysler says it was not their fault.
