I was driving the car and the headlights shut off, dash lights went out and warning lights on the dash started lighting up and blinking on the dash. In addition, the gauges all dropped to zero and then returned after a few seconds. Everything returned to normal after a few seconds except the headlights. The headlights returned when switched to on instead of auto (it was dark outside). This all happened while the car was in motion at 60mph. After the car was parked and engine shut down, I restarted it and the headlights worked properly in the auto setting again. This problem replicated itself 2 weeks after the first incident.
