It seems I am not alone, my 2008 Pacifica occaissionaly loses power, the electrical system shuts off, then quickly turns back on. This has happened for the past 6 months, no mechanics can find a problem because when the engine shuts off it clears the car computer. It is happening more frequently now. Could this be an ignition switch issue like the chevy?.

On at least 3 occasions since purchasing a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica as a used vehicle in Jan. 2005, my husband or I have inadvertently hit the ignition switch with our knee and turned off the engine while driving. One occasion while we driving on the highway at 65 mph when my husband moved his foot from the accelerator after turning on cruise control. The other two incidents have been at low speeds in our neighborhood while moving foot from the accelerator to the brake pedal. Design defect that needs to be corrected.
