O2 Sensor Problems of Chrysler Pacifica

The vehicle does when in reverse and you step on the accelerator. Gas gauge reads empty even with fuel in it and fluctuates between empty and full. Vehicle stalls when going around a corner or coming to a stop. . Foul smell coming from the exhaust into the cab. All dash gauges go off. Check engine light is on. Received two different codes 1) O2 sensor bad & 2) p1861.

While driving on a freeway, the engine started losing power and would not react to the gas pedal. In addition, the gear shift would not change when I tried to change it from drive to neutral. The car would purposely be slowed down by the engine as it was stuck in drive position. The created a dangerous situation as it was difficult to control car to move it into the emergency lane. After pulling over, smoke started coming out of the engine and vents. I was then unable to turn off the engine as the power button would not react when pressed. Per the dealership, the catalytic converters was clogged and overheated so needed to be replaced as well as the oxygen sensor. This should not have needed to be repaired in a car that is only 1. 5 years old and created a very dangerous situation on the freeway.

As of today, my new van has been in service 13 of the 15 days I have owned it. Not even 12 hours after bringing my new van home, I noticed some lagging/slight jerk after braking going around 20 mph. The next day, in a neighborhood (thank goodness) after turning right after a stop sign, the check engine light came on with a ding and blinking and I was unable to accelerate. I coasted into my friends driveway to put in park and the van began to shake. This went on a few min and because I was on my way to work, I left the driveway and continued on my way for 10 min. The check engine light came on two more times after that. After four days in service, they finally concluded it was the O2 sensors and replaced all of those. After it was fixed, my husband couldn't even make it home before the check engine light came back on. As of yesterday, computer modules have been updated and the check engine light still comes on and they can't pinpint where the misfire is happening.

I just purchased my 08 Pacifica on 2-10-16. Today as I was driving the electrical system started to malfunction. First it started with the heater not working to the car stalling in the middle of the highway. I have five kids so for me to be stranded on a busy highway with children is very scary. 1 wk ago wheels diagnosed to bent alloys and O2 sensor is jacked up too. Rust is also present im just worried about safety.

I purchased my car in 2008 and the dealer (sheehy Ford) won't even take it back. The engine light stays on and it won't pass inspection. I had to replace the obd connector and it still wouldn't pass inspection. Took it back to the inspection station and it failed because of the oxygen sensor, replaced that and took it back for the 3rd time and it failed again because the machine read: monitors not ready. I'm starting to think that the power train and the engine are faulty on my vehicle. Sheehy knew they sold me a lemon, I've tried to have them resolve this issue numerous times and nothing. I want them to either fix the problem or give me another car. I reported them to the bbb as well and they never responded to bbb on my complaint. That looks so suspect in my eyes.
