While driving 70 mph the driver's side rear wheel separated from the vehicle. No injuries reported. The vehicle was towed to a local repair shop, and the mechanic determined that the rear axle broke. Axle broke due to faulty grease fitting. Fitting cannot be greased because it is a closed system.

For approximately 2 years , there has been a gradual roar from the right rear wheel. Upon a complete investigation it has been summized as the rear wheel hub bearing/assembly is defective. This started at 50k miles. Since this is a sealed component it would have to be a manufacturer defect.
