1 Strut Failure problem of the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible. While driving 30 mph, the rear of the vehicle became uncontrollable. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic who performed a diagnostic and located the failure at the rear passenger strut failed due to corrosion. The driver and passenger side struts were replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and a complaint was filed but they stated that they would not be able to assist with the repair. The failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage 102,000.

2 Strut Failure problem of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 07/15/2008

Chrysler Sebring 2002, 4-door sedan, v6. Both upper rear strut mounts have failed during driving and the car is now undrivable. Local dealerships have waiting list for replacement parts. Dealership where vehicle was purchased cannot get part from Chrysler nor is there an aftermarket part available. The dealership will not offer rental car or remedy since vehicle is out of warranty. Chrysler should be issuing a recall based on the number of dealer vehicles waiting for repair!!! updated 02/19/10. Updated 07/19/jb.
