Driving my 2007 Dodge Charger. No warning lights, car stalled in busy intersection. Car towed. Shop states rod problem- engine blown-car was treated like a baby- oil changed ever 2500-3000 miles- dealer states no reason for this to happen to a 2007 with 74,000 miles- dealer also stated this has been a problem with the 2. 7 ltr engine and Dodge is not taking care of the problem and blaming it on the owner of the car. . . . .

2 Engine Exhaust System problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2007

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Charger r/t. While driving approximately 65mph over a bump in the road the vehicles exhaust pipes dropped down. The exhaust pipe is now making contact with the pavement and the contact is afraid the fumes will start releasing into the vehicle. Check engine light is illuminated frequently. The manufacturer stated that the contact was at fault. The dealer diagnosed the failure and stated that the cost to replace the exhaust pipes will be $1,500. The current mileage was 9,800 and the failure mileage was 5,000.
