Tl the contact owns a 2007 Dodge Charger. While the vehicle was at an intersection, the contact noticed an abnormal noise under the hood. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact exited the vehicle, looked underneath, and noticed fluid leaking from the engine. The vehicle was towed by an independent mechanic to the contact's home. North point Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram fiat (7726 north point blvd, winston-salem, nc 27106, (336) 283-2496) and the manufacturer were contacted and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer provided case number: 59092376. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Dodge Charger awd. While driving, the vehicle stalled and made a loud noise. The vehicle coasted to a stop on the side of the road. The instrument panel warning indicators illuminated during the failure. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the timing chain failed. The dealer (lum's auto center 7338, 1605 se ensign ln, warrenton, or 97146) informed the contact to bring in the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 160,000.
My husband and I were riding in our vehicle, all of a sudden we heard a loud pop sound come from the front of the vehicle. My husband then observed the temperature gauge on the vehicle rising, and the red light suddenly appeared. We were only minutes away from our home when this occurred, so we were able to immediately returned home. Once the vehicle was parked in the driveway, the hood was opened and we both observed a plastic fan blade broken and hanging out of the fan's casing. We also observed fluid inside of the hood underneath of thw line directly across from the broken hanging fan blade. We also observed fluid on the ground directly underneath of this line. Vehicle has 137,000 miles on it. Vehicle is scheduled to go into shop Monday morning.
2007 Dodge Charger. Consumer writes in regards to stalling issues. The consumer stated the vehicle was leaking oil and would stall on the highway. Also, there was a loud noise coming from the vehicle. When the consumer took the vehicle to her mechanic, she was informed the boot was cracked and oil was all over the bottom of the vehicle.
