Door locks lock and unlock automatically when fob is in range. Continuously chirping. When key inserted on driver side ( only door site to insert key) the door locks and unlocks continuously while chirping. ( battery to fob new). Extremely sensitive to slightest touch or hover; door locks have a mind of their own( up and down repetively). Once unlocked, alarm goes off until key is inserted into ignition to silence. May take 3-4 minutes to enter car. Pose danger at night or during inclement weather. Vehicle performed the above stationary but have been locked out while car was running after key inserted; door closed manually after unlocked and car locked by itself when door closed instantly. 4 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2012 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 07/02/2017

Battery saver mode appeared on my dash. The next day driving home the car stalled and shut down completely. In the owners manual. It really doesn't state do not drive the vehicle get it towed. I was on my way to get the car diagnose. I was driving when my car decided to stall out. I wasn't on a main road but it could have been worse. The dealer said the battery and alternator is fired. The car would not recognize neither one of my fob. I feel as though the verbiage should be updated in the owners manual specifically about th message battery saver mode. It may save a life.

5 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2014 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 09/20/2015

While driving on interstate at full speed a message appeared on vehicle instrument panel: battery saver mode. Was concerned as I did not know what the message meant. Was not mentioned in the owner manual. Looked up message on Dodge Charger forum, realized that my vehicle falls within years for recall, with 160 amp alternator, but my particular VIN number is not included in recall nor have I been contacted. Perhaps it, along with others, should be to warn owners of potential issues. There was nothing in the message to indicate that the vehicle needed to be serviced, although to my understanding it can cause loss of power to the entire system.

6 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2007 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 07/03/2014

The 2007 Dodge Charger seized while in gear; loss of control and speed; locked steering wheel,no acceleration, while moving at 3mph in reverse once and while merging onto I-75 @ ~8mph two other times all within 5 weeks of each other but with no indicator warning dash lights illuminating. Neither of the auto mechanics could find a problem. The vehicle hasn't seized up, but the vehicle's check engine light and electronic throttle control indicator warning lights came on last week. The Dodge Charger manual says if the electronic throttle control light comes on, to discontinue use of the vehicle until an authorized dealer can evaluate the problem. July 7th 2014 the vehicle went to a certified dealer to be diagnosed. They said they couldn't find a reason for the lights being on. Sure enough they ran me up a 900 dollar bill consisting of the following repairs:filter tr 21170001/sealer no 01081003/fluid atf 01081018/antifreez 01081004/connector 09004009. I was told by the service manager these were the repairs needed: water outlet housing/transmission hydrolic service w/ programming/air filter/ fuel system cleaning we picked the vehicle up July 10th 2014 from dealership, drove it directly home. My girlfriend drove the vehicle 30 miles to work July 12th 2014,after an 8 hour shift she started the Dodge Charger letting it run idle for 5 minutes before exiting the parking lot. The vehicle was brought to a stop before entering the interstate. When she tried to accelerate the vehicle did not move or make a revving sound, the steering wheel was locked tight but hot air was continuing to blow from vents. No indicator lights were present before during or after the event. The vehicle hadn't physically acted up since the first 3 times 7 months ago, so we immediately called the dealer and she drove it directly there.

7 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2006 Dodge Charger

Failure Date: 07/11/2013

Car would not shift out of park - researched issue online to find this is a common problem with Chrysler/Dodge products that the shift interlock mechanism fails and the car becomes undriveable as it will not shift out of park. Took apart shift console to manually move mechanism out of park and get it to the dealership for repair. Dealer confirms shift interlock mechanism was at fault. Contacted Dodge - although there have been numerous recalls for this same issue with other Dodge/Chrysler models/years - the 2006 Charger is not "officially on the recall list", so I had to pay for the faulty mechanism replacement out of pocket.
