Radio screen contains a big bubble that disables touch and access to features such as maps, phones system and engine control. This causes the radio to crash and make extreme loud sounds that you're unable to control unless you power off the engine. When turning the engine back on the issue continues to exist. This can happen at any time while driving or while starting up the vehicule. My radio have made 2 unwanted calls to 911 due to the screen of the radio changing stations and selecting options on it's own. Dodge knows this issue exist on multiple years and models of the Dodge Charger line up and is not doing anything to help their customers.

The uconnect radio is delaminating and there causing to jump from station or it will jump to resetting the clock causing me to look away from the road which is a distraction and I also believe that it controls more thrn just the radio. I called Chrysler customer care and was told it is my expense. But when I took it to a Chrysler dealership u was told by the tech on duty it was s known problem.

I've been experiencing electrical problems with my screen. It's affecting the use of my radio, heat, defrost (which I need for visibility). The door paneling is also pulling away from the door frames.

Dodge Charger scatpack 2018 has a issue with the radio where it's constantly pressing buttons because of the screen having air bubbles/ delamination. It turns on the heated seats, heated steeeing wheel and messes with my sports mode where it's changing my steering from norm to sport. It is a distraction while driving because you have to constantly click the x button. This is a serious issue that could cause many accidents.

This car definitely has a wiring issue. Sometimes the car won't start. It is not the battery & it is not the starter. Occasionally the radio won't work. Sometimes when you are driving down the road, it loses all power. Sometimes the headlights just go out. Nobody can seem to find the issue.

The touch screen uconnect stereo is delaminating which makes the display hard to see which also allows humidity to enter the gap and makes the stereo flip between settings (radio, nav, seat heating controls, climate control) and proceeds to randomly click the touchscreen interface buttons. This causes distractions and has resulted in a frozen touch screen while driving (which renders the climate controls dead as well as backup camera, navigation and the stereo). After taking this to the dealer I was told that I was past my warranty which means this is an out of pocket fix.

I purchased my car brand new in 2017, a month ago I noticed what looked like a watermark in the screen of my radio, it is stretching across the screen. I use this to make phone calls since we are no longer allowed to use our cell phones. When I called the dealer they said that the 2017 Dodge Charger has been having this issue and that it should be covered under warranty and since they are aware of the defect they should fix it at no charge. They can't just replace the screen they have to replace the whole radio and it is almost 2,000$. When I called the Dodge repair shop where I live they said they would reach out to Dodge since this has been a major issue with this vehicle and see if they would fix it. My vehicle was stationary when I noticed the problem.

While driving the radio breaks up and just shuts off completely. It takes a few minutes before you can turn it back on with the power button. This has to be an electronic problem?? this only happens while in motion it is factory radio it as never been messed with.

Steering wheel controls and bluetooth hands free connectivity have failed on this vehicle requiring $700 repair including a new bluetooth module. The vehicle can no longer support the hands free safety features that are essential for mobility connectivity and safety during phone calls. Users are unable to reboot radio devices on this vehicle requiring dealer visit for diagnosis. Diagnosis indicates failure of bluetooth module located near steering wheel. This appears to be a common problem for Dodge biased on info boards, install videos and oem parts being sold to repair this. I have vehicles twice the age of this Dodge with bluetooth still active so this feels like a premature parts failure that is putting my teen driver at risk until repaired due to lack of hands free connectivity.

At first I was unable to call out through my cars bluetooth, but if I used my phone to call out I could hear and speak through my car. However this did not last long since the speakers quit working. A loud clicking started in my dash. The radio turns on but no sound. When this happened I could not start my car after googleing the issue I found that others had the same issue and said that if you take the remote itself to push the start button their car started. I tried this and at this time my car will start this way. Also my trunk just opens on it's own. This happens constantly. I called dealership about it and they said it was not a recall. I'm a disabled person, and I need my car to get to and from doctor appointments. I do not have a lot of money and can not afford to pay to get these issues fixed. I feel that since there has been so many other people w ohth the same issues that these things should be recalled and customers have their vehicles taken care of. Thank you for your time. Takata recall, my uconnect screen is faulty and glitches out and changes settings, temperature, radio stations, turns my seat warmers on and basically whatever else it presses on by itself. It happens while the vehicle is both in motion and idle. The incident started happening randomly for no apparent reason and I still have no clue as to what could have caused it.

I get repeated weather alerts from u-connect screen system. The alerts come from serius satellite travel link system. They pop up and block whatever is displayed on the screen like radio or maps. They continue to block the screen until the driver reaches over to turn them off - distracting their eyes and hand from driving! neither serius or Dodge are unwilling or unable to turn them off. During a recent winter storm this was very hazardous because many roads were closed and I couldn't find a way home because the alerts were so frequent they continuously blocked the map app - as I was trying to drive home.

2018 Dodge Charger with 8. 4 u-connect radio system with sirius radio option. Sirius has weather/traffic updates which continually pop up on screen. I've documented pop-ups numerous times on short trips. I've created a log showing as many as three in a 20 minute drive. Additionally, the warning reports are for areas outside my zip code (they are for another state). A driver have to take their eyes off the roadway and look at the radio display to cancel the alert. Sirius and Dodge are aware of this issue but there has been no patch to cure the issue or cancel and turn off the alerts. I just spoke to a service representative at sirius and they ware aware of many complaints. Dodge has been made aware of this situation. This is a common complaint listed on Dodge forums. I am a traffic school and dui instructor for the city of las vegas. I can tell you this is a serious distraction that can cause traffic accidents by drivers diverting their attention from driving to cancelling the pop up notices.

The uconnect infotainment system in fca vehicles has a defect that will cause multiple weather alerts for areas hundreds of miles away. The errant weather alerts take over the entire screen and require the driver to take their eyes off the road to exit out of the alert. The alert will not go away on it's own, and you cannot control the radio or hvac system without reading and exiting out of the alert. Also, the uconnect system has no option to disable weather alerts. In other words, you cannot stop them from happening in their current build. I've called Dodge and uconnect multiple times, and there is still no resolution. All that needs to happen is uconnect needs to add the option in the settings to toggle weather alerts on or off. It should take a programmer an hour to accomplish this simple task. Just today I got 4 weather alerts for counties between 140 and 400 miles away from my current location on my 5 mile drive, each one requiring me to physically close the screen to get back to the navigation page. Forcing drivers to read and interact with multiple defective weather alerts can be as dangerous as texting and driving. When I called Dodge, they said the issue is with uconnect. Uconnect told me nothing can be done. When I messaged Dodge, they told me sirius xm is to blame for sending the alerts. So we have a 3 way finger pointing contest here that nobody want to accept responsibility for. All I want is for uconnect to give drivers the option to disable weather alerts to keep their attention on the road.

This started with a burning smell and radio not working. I tried to get car into Dodge dealer in tallahassee but due to hurricane they were backed up. I drove car home from work and in seconds a terrible smell and black smoke filled up the car and out from hood into car. I had aaa and emergency service, car was towed to tallahassee car care center. I am just past my warranty with mopar Dodge but this is not typical and should not happen with only 22k miles. This was dangerous and scary and could have caused a crash on the road.

This morning at 0710 (Sunday 8-07-2016) I was on the north bound road named bradshaw (sacramento CA. ), about 4 miles south of jfhq (army headquarters 9800 goethe rd. ) I was driving and out of nowhere a massive explosion drowned out my radio and glass started raining down on me and all over the inside of my car. I pulled over to the side of the road and put on my flashers, the sound was so loud it made me deaf like I had my bell rung in iraq. I collected my self because I was shooken up and realized my sunroof just exploded for no reason. I stepped out of my vehicle to get the glass out of my eyes and off my uniform, then I inspected the entire car looking for bullet holes. I was actually thinking someone was shooting at me because of how it exploded when no other vehicles were on the road at that time. When looking at the car the glass was also all over my roof and stuck in the gap of my trunk lid and pooled at the base of my spoiler. The location of when this happened there are no overpasses or pedestrian overpass walkways. Majority of the glass blew up and out of my car causing damage to the paint on my roof and trunk lid.

I was driving on the highway when the abs and traction control indicator came on. I also noticed a burning smell so I turned off the ac and noticed the radio power was off so I tried powering it back on but to no avail. The smell continued and the vehicle seemed to slow down and the speedometer hand began to go crazy flipping back and forth so I pulled over to the nearest exit and turned the vehicle off. I attempted to restart and nothing happened. The tow truck guy arrived and tried to boost it and it began to smoke. It still had no power. I'm highly disappointed considering I purchased the vehicle brand new. I thought by purchasing the model with hemi I was getting a better quality vehicle. Apparently not. Would never expect to be broke down on the side on the road in such fairly new vehicle. Also had to have the radiator replaced like a year prior. Then the passenger headlight also has some type of shortage which the dealer couldn't detect what the problem is and the bottom fog lamps no longer work. Seems to be several wiring issues on the front end. Dealer diagnosed my vehicle and I now need a new alternator, starter, and battery which will cost me $1300. Sucks because there is a recall for alternator but for now it only applies to the vehicles with 3. 6l motor. Wanted to trade my vehicle for the new Dodge but now I've changed my mind!.

Takara recall I was coming home from work and my car shut the radio off and slowly started shutting off other accessories to the car. I work 30 miles from my house. When I got home, the car would not shut off, would not go into park. And everything was going hay wire. I had to put the parking break on so I would move, because I couldn't get it to go into park. Thank goodness my window was down because I couldn't unlock the car. I had to crawl through the the back seat to pull the emergancy lever to open the trunk. After that I disconnected the battery. I soon found out the battery died and the alternator burnt up. I have replace the battery and the alternator and started the car. It runs but all the electronics are still inoperable.

All the electrical from the car went out including lights, radio, odometer lights, headlights turn off, electrical windows were not working. Then made the car go as far as 100 ft. When it shut down completly. I got off the car and popped the hood and the fuse box was on fire I called the fire department and they took fire out from the hood and the trunk and deterimined that the there was a shortage in the battery and there was battery acid all in back of the trunk.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Charger. While parked, the engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle did not start. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the alternator failed. The contact stated that the engine warning light illuminated and the radio lost electrical power prior to when the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v634000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

Started my car this morning and it was making a loud noise. Drove my car out the neighbor to the stop light. While waiting for the traffic light to change green, I notice a burning spell. My radio then turned off and traction light came on and off. After a minute the battery light appeared and I received a message that the car was in battery safe mode. After researching the error message it appears to be that my alternator is either defective or going bad.

Started driving my vehicle from work. When all of a sudden my whole dashboard lite up with the "abs light, power saver mode, and the traction control light. While attempting to pull over the vehicle my radio power off and the vehicle began making a "whining" noise. The engine shut off by itself. I pop the hood and while raising the hood white smoke appeared and I could smell something burning. My sister was present the whole time she was tailgating me in her vehicle. Let the car cool down and tried to restart it and the whining noise grew louder and upon starting it seem as if it did not want to start up but the dashboard was not lite up only the message on the dash about being in "power save mode". This was a scary situation for me and I do not feel comfortable driving my only means of transportation for me and my children. My sister gave me a ride home. I have contact the dealership and have an appointment for them to service the vehicle.

Car went into battery saver mode while driving. Took to dealership said nothing wrong. Drove next day where all lights and wipers going off. Radio cut off and abs, traction control and e-brake lights came on. Then car began having smoky smell. Completely shut off in intersection with no recharge or ability to start up. Could not even lock doors or open trunk.

I had just got off of the high way and it appeared that my car wasn't driving to it's full speed. As I got a bit closer to my destination my radio cut off and the abs light came on. As I pulled in the driveway the car shut off and I tried to start it back but the power was out from there. I had no clue what happen I just figured that a light may have been left on accidentally or something but that wasn't the case. I tried to get a jump but the car started literally for 10 seconds and no more after that.

At the red light the car shut off, did not have any power, and would not start. After jump starting the car it drove for about 30 minutes more, then all of a sudden the car started malfunctioning. The radio turned off, indicator lights started blinking, steering wheel begin to lock up, and the car began jerking uncontrollably. I then called a tow truck to jumpstart the car and proceeded to go home, the car never stopped jerking and was in power saver mode. I purchased a new battery the next day. Soon after the car begin to do all the same things, jerking, indicator lights, etc. My car has absolutely no power after completely charging the battery. It cannot get towed because I am unable to place the car in neutral due to no power. This has to be a manufacturers problem with the electrical system.

Morning of the incident, heard a "whining" noise when car started. Drive short distance to work and home. While driving on highway in traffic going 25mph at 6pm, lost power to radio, power steering, abs light flashed, brake light flashed, and strong electrical smell. When I finally got the car to the shoulder, itwas in battery saver mode and could not detect key for keyless entry. No electrical power. When I called Dodge dealer where it was towed, they said it would be $700 for parts and labor.

While driving on Sunday evening around 8:30 pm about 2 miles from my home going to get some cold medicines my car all of a sudden the radio stop working and it started stalling and my abs brakes light and traction control lights came on and was about to cut off and everything just stop working was able to get it off the road. Remember smelling something that was burning no smoke or fire have done research on the internet and there are several complaints about people having the same problem with the same amount of mileage as my car or lesser. Did call Dodge and they had no complaints they claim of this problem but it could have happen due to a recent recall they call a m10. No other assistance from the maker of this car but it needs to be investigated period. If it is the alternator and battery it is costing over $1000. 00 to get the repairs done and this is bad when the warranty just went out on it. Not including car note and car insurance.

While entering the highway, the call stalled and seems as if there was trouble automatically switching gear. At first we thought it was just time for an oil change. So after getting the oil change, the radio and engine went hay-wire. She couldn't shut off the engine for over 30 minutes. When we took the car to the Dodge dealership regarding our issues, they told me they couldn't find anything wrong. I bought this car for my wife and have serious concerns. Clearly there is something wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!.

The issue I am really complaining about is that the lug wrench supplied by the dealer doesn't fit the lug nuts. When I attempted to get a resolution from the dealer I was told that the cause was swelling of the lug nuts which is a "manufacturer defect" and that I better keep a 4 way in the car in case I were to break down. There is also electrical issues with the vehicle which cause the radio and dashboard not to light up or display periodically when you start the vehicle. Since these items are fully integrated with the so much with the vehicle it makes it very hard to travel safely when this occurs. The vehicle has had no modifications of any type.

2008 Dodge Charger. Driver was traveling in city at speeds <40 mph. Radio started making crackling/popping sounds and vehicle started losing power at which time heavy white smoke began coming from hood. No sensor lights or warning signs given. Driver pulled over to side or road at which time vehicle quit running. Vehicle was towed to local Dodge dealer where the technician diagnosed an electrical overheating/shortage problem that originated in the power distribution center.

No signal available for sirius sat radio. Call sirius and they confirmed my radio was active but was not picking up a signal. Took it to Dodge where they determined it was the sat antenna. 3-4 day delivery time.
