The car is a 2022 with only 17k miles it started by smelling like gas really bad in the car and outside of it and eventually leaking gas badly so I took it into the dealership and it turns out there is a defective weld on the fuel filler neck and it had been leaking for a while. It was a major fire hazard not just for myself, but others on the road. Filling my garage up with fuel vapors and it was 1 spark away from catching on fire. So I contacted stellantis to see if they would make it right and they refused to and told me things like that happen. It doesn't sit right with me. There was no warning lamps , messages anything of that sort. The leak was directly next to the exhaust as well.

Had the heater defroster on to clean snow off the car, came out later to go to work and noticed a crack along the bottom of the windshield. No safety issues yet, that I am aware of. Don't know if the problem has been reproduced or confirmed. Vehicle has not been inspected yet.

I am the original owner of a 2016 Dodge Charger sxt awd (VIN: [xxx] ). On February 3, 2026, while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure. I heard a loud metallic grinding noise from underneath, followed by an immediate loss of power and "service transmission" and "serv awd" warnings on the dashboard. The vehicle became inoperable, and the engine could not be shut off through normal means after the incident. Recall context: this vehicle has previously had safety recalls t03 (driveshaft bolts) and u60 (front driveshaft) performed in 2017/2018. However, the current failure is identical to the safety defects described in those recalls. This indicates a recall remedy failure, posing a severe safety risk to the driver and others on the road. Current dispute: the vehicle was towed to preston cdjr of dover, but the dealer claims they cannot diagnose the issue or read fault codes. They are attempting to charge $200/hour for unsuccessful diagnosis attempts. I have opened a case with Dodge corporate (case #xxx), but the case manager has temporarily closed the case due to the dealer's inability to provide a diagnosis, and neither party has responded to my inquiries for 2 business days. Requested action: I am filing this complaint to request a formal investigation into this recurring safety defect and to compel the manufacturer to honor the safety recall by performing a physical inspection and necessary repairs at no cost to the consumer. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The a/c evaporator core in my 2020 Dodge Charger hellcat has failed twice within a short period of ownership. The first failure occurred at approximately 20k miles in 2022, when the air conditioning suddenly stopped blowing cold air. The dealership diagnosed a leaking evaporator core and replaced it under warranty. On [xxx] at approximately 50k, the exact same failure occurred again — loss of refrigerant and no cooling. The vehicle again required replacement of the evaporator core, a repair that involves removing the entire dashboard and is extremely labor-intensive and expensive. This appears to be a recurring defect rather than normal wear. I have learned that many other Dodge Charger and challenger owners report identical evaporator failures, often multiple times, suggesting a possible design or manufacturing flaw with the hvac evaporator used in these vehicles. Loss of a/c may seem like a comfort issue, but in extreme heat it can create a driver-safety risk due to overheating, window defogging problems, and driver fatigue. I live in arizona where daytime temperatures regularly climb above 80 degrees, even in the winter. A major component like an evaporator should not repeatedly fail in a late-model vehicle. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether 2019–2022 Dodge Charger/challenger vehicles are experiencing an abnormal rate of evaporator core failures that may warrant a recall, extended warranty, or technical service bulletin. Repairs performed: • evaporator core replaced in 2022 at bill luke Chrysler / Dodge in phoenix, az • evaporator core replaced again on February 4th, 2026 at aaa auto repair in phoenix, az • refrigerant leak confirmed both times • dash removal required for repair supporting documents available: repair orders, dealership invoices, diagnostic reports information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Dodge Charger, 2016, won't turn on a list. Key is in the cup holder. On the driver's side also there are many videos showing this same issue with many Dodge, twenty sixteen Chargers.
While driving at highway speeds the vehicle suddenly dropped into "limp mode" causing the vehicle to start slowing down very quickly since I had regeneration breaking set to level 2. Causing the vehicle behind me to almost rear end me but they moved out of the way quick enough that no collision happened. I was able to turn on my hazard lights and roll to safety. After powering off the vehicle, exiting, locking it and later re-entering it was I able to drive it home normally. During this time the airbag error came up and a service electrical system error. The vehicle is currently parked and I can't move it. When I purchased the vehicle I was told all existing recalls were serviced but never received documents. The limp mode came without warning. It was raining at the time of failure.

Alternator and battery have now had to be replaced three times within the past year. It appears to be the same issues, other Dodge Chargers with a recall having. However, this VIN number is not on that recall list.

Car overheated and caused critical damage without warning or notification. Had my 2019 Dodge Charger gt VIN got the v32 recall updating the instrument cluster software, there would have been warning or any dash notification(s) and I wouldn’t have damaged header. Fca failed to assign, notify, or remedy this recall which lead to engine damage.
I brought my vehicle in for a recall to replace the airbags and headliner. When I received my car back from the dealership (union city Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram), the vehicle was returned with a broken windshield, water intrusion leading to mold, corroded and missing components, and now both rear doors do not function properly. These issues are safety concerns and were not present before the service. This dealership severely compromised the safety and usability of my car during a recall repair. I believe this warrants investigation and potential oversight from NHTSA, especially as this stemmed from a recall they were authorized to repair.
I am reporting serious and recurring electrical and system failures in my leased 2024 Dodge Charger daytona scat pack ev, leased March 18, 2025. The vehicle has consistently experienced critical malfunctions that pose a threat to driver and public safety. The most dangerous issue is intermittent complete power failure. On at least four occasions, the vehicle failed to start or respond to keyless ignition. I was left stranded for 20–40 minutes in various locations with no access to power, movement, or control of the vehicle. These failures occurred without warning and could easily become life-threatening if they happen in traffic or isolated areas. Another severe defect involves the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. The display screen frequently blacks out or shows static while the vehicle is in use. When this happens, I lose access to critical safety features including the speedometer, turn signals, drive mode indicators, battery range, navigation, and system alerts. I’ve had to drive without visual cues, or speed visibility. On many occasions I nearly struck a barrier due to a blind reverse. The vehicle displays warnings such as “stop safely. Vehicle will shut off soon,” “service electric vehicle system,” and “service transmission” while in motion. These failures have been documented with photo and video evidence and confirmed by a stellantis-authorized dealer. A replacement radio assembly was ordered, but I was told there is no eta, and it could take two months or longer to arrive. In the meantime, I am being told the car is “safe to drive,” despite these repeated system failures. The vehicle has been brought in for repairs four times and is still at the dealership service. The problems have not been resolved, and the issues continue to present a major safety risk.
1. Headlight low/high beam keeps going out and comes back on. It seems like the wiring harness overheating, bulb is fine but continues to go out and on. 2. Transmission, does a very aggressive down shift at gear 6 it makes the car jump and if it happens too much, my car won't accelerate. . I got it repaired once and it took dealer almost 30 days but it did not fix the problem. . I could not afford to be without my car so I could not take it back to them.

No incident happened. My 2021 Charger windshield has not been recalled due to the adhesive around the edge of windshield.
Rented car fromean holdings llc. It was dosge Charger 2023 . While driving odometer was changing display between km /hr and miles distracting and resulted in speeding ticket and potential for higher risk of accident. Confusing 90 km or miles on investigation, both units on settings or custom it could change by unknowingly hitting left arrow and ok on steering wheel from miles to km viceversa. Equipment modificationsor program can remove confusion in us vehicle and reduce risk thankyou.
I was almost rear-ended by a semi when the vehicle stalled at a light while picking my son up from work. It seems to stall at stop signs or waiting at lights completely. It stalls while idling here and there sometimes. Sometimes when driving on the e-way it jerks as it wants to stall but not completely. The main codes that pop up is u0100. Sometimes p0700 pops up and then sometimes the u0100 pops up along with a bunch of other codes. This has just started happening with my previous 2006 Dodge Charger 5. 7 which has happened once or twice and a u0100 code pops up when scanned. I've scoured the internet for solutions and notice. There's a lot of people going through this similar situation and it so happens to be the 2006 year that's plagued with this problem. Even getting a new pcm doesn't solve the problem. Whomever is in charge of the Dodge company needs to figure out the exact cause of this problem before a driver/passengers gets injured or killed in an accident because of it. Please put some fire under their butt.

While driving at highway speeds, my sunroof suddenly imploded without any apparent impact from a rock or other debris.
This recall has been open for almost 6 months. The 2020 Dodge Charger srt (specific trim) on NHTSA site shows zero open recalls. But then the VIN shows 1 recall which has been open for 6months. I am told by the dealer the srt trim for it does not have a recall as even NHTSA shows 2020 Dodge Charger srt (0 recalls) . Please update this to reflect my VIN with no open recalls as it is affecting my work and business with it being either reported incorrectly and not being resolved for almost 6 months now. Greatly appreciate your help.
Center touchscreen delamination. This has caused the screen to function without intention by randomly changing settings which causes undesired use of the screen, distracted driving and an unsafe environment due to glue adhesive separation within the screen.
The "vehicle not in park" warning message is a safety feature designed to prevent accidents and injuries. It's a standard safety feature in most modern vehicles, including the Dodge Charger. Here's what it's intended to when the vehicle is shifted out of park (p) and the transmission is not fully engaged, the system will display a "vehicle not in park" warning message on the dashboard. This message is triggered by the vehicle's transmission control module (tcm) or electronic stability control (esc) system, which monitors the vehicle's gear position and transmission status. The purpose of this warning is to alert the driver that the vehicle is not properly secured and may roll or move unexpectedly, potentially causing an accident or injury. This can happen when: the parking brake is not engaged: if the parking brake is not fully engaged or is released before shifting into gear, the system will detect this and display the warning message. The transmission is not fully engaged: if the transmission is not fully engaged in gear, such as when shifting from park to reverse or drive, the system will detect this and display the warning message. The vehicle is not properly positioned: if the vehicle is not properly positioned on a level surface or on a slope, the system may detect this and display the warning message. To resolve the "vehicle not in park" issue on your Dodge Charger: ensure the parking brake is fully engaged. Check that the transmission is fully engaged in gear (e. G. , park, reverse, drive). Make sure the vehicle is properly positioned on a level surface or adjust it to a flat surface. The car is in park but will not turn off instead it runs until it decides it wants to turn off which can take several hours. This is a safety concern and issue that needs to resolved we pay to much money on these vehicles to deal with crappy problems due to bad mechanical issues and features.

Recall not addressed in a timely matter.
Anti-theft device failure after break-in thieves entered my locked vehicle after it was alarmed. The anti-theft device was deactivated and doors were unlocked for thieves gain entrance to the vehicle. After entrance, the were able to roll the vehicle down the street and start the vehicle. The thieves were able to by-pass the switch from the original key fob.
Interior door panels are letting loose and detaching from frame. Seems seems to be rather unsafe with the side airbags and all. Many forums online from Dodge Charger owners with same issue on all (4) doors. We need help getting Dodge to recall this issue and help make it right. We are getting quotes of up to $3,500 to complete the repair and replace interior door panels.
I own a 2019 Dodge Charger, and it has an open recall for the airbag inflator, which poses a serious safety risk. Despite the recall being issued over six months ago, replacement parts are still unavailable. Due to this safety concern, I am unable to drive my vehicle far from home, significantly impacting my usage. Additionally, I used to rent this vehicle on turo to generate income, but it has been delisted from the platform because of the unresolved recall. I am still responsible for monthly loan payments of $420 and insurance payments of over $400 every month which is causing me financial loss without the ability to safely operate or rent out my car. I have contacted dealerships multiple times, but the parts continue to be delayed with no estimated resolution.
Back-up camera: vehicle equipped with an analog camera which at times will not clearly display the view to the rear of the vehicle. Had the camera looked at by the selling dealer who advised that the issue was due to the quality and design of the camera the rear view under certain lighting conditions (in daylight) displayed a washed out display. I have other vehicles with back-up cameras that do not display this condition.
The stereo is making random phone calls, adjusting heat/air, changing stations and pushing buttons all on its own. This is extremely dangerous and distracting while driving.

Open recall since March and it still has not been resolved. Worried about safety on this vehicle if not fixed.
My radio screen went bad and it’s killing my battery when the car is off but the screen still works. Also it won’t play music on my speakers due to the screen messing. The screen is also affecting my speakers and everything obviously and I seen there was a recall on the cars radios.

I have had to replace the vapor canister on 2 Dodge Chargers I have owned seems to be a common issue. Check engine light came on both instances one causing issues with inspection the other with emissions test and I had to replace the vapor canister on both in order to fix my issues delayed the process in getting my vehicle registered by the state. Seems there was a previous recall on the issue but has since lapsed the time period to have fixed with reimbursement had the issue checked by an auto services establishment and family member to confirm my issues and then repaired issues each time with a family member. I have also had several issues with the key fob the initial one I received the key itself was never cut for my vehicle so would not unlock my car had to have someone cut the key to access my doors, also the fob itself stopped working I had to pay to get replaced which stopped working several days later and they had issues when programming the key it had flagged issues in their systems giving issues programming since I still have not been able to have an operating key fob.
The abs module has malfunctioned which affects the cruise control, most of the dash controls on the steering wheel and has several lights on the dash that stay lit. The Dodge dealer is aware of this and states that right now there is no fix from Dodge. I'm putting an estimate date below due to ongoing issue.
Over 2 years ago I took my vehicle in for an oil change and asked them to drive it and see why it sometimes pulls the steering when going around a curve to the left. They drove it and said it never did pull. Since then, it now pulls to the right when going around curves to the right also. It is doing it more frequently and I am in fear that it will either cause me to go off the road or hit someone when it all of a sudden jerks, like it is catching on something in the tire or something. I wouldn't even let my grandson drive it when he got his learners permit. I have since then decided to look for a safer vehicle and will be trading it since no one can figure out the issue. It jerks hard all of a sudden and you have to make sure you are holding the steering wheel tight. I am reporting to hopefully prevent an accident.
My screen is delaminating and posing a risk for backing up and using the rear view camera. I am unable to use navigation which causes me to make wrong turns and struggle to get where I’m going as I have to hold my phone for navigation. This is very stressful as the screen touches things by itself. It makes calls during my drive so I struggle to end them before going through.
