Consumer seeking help for 2003 Dodge Dakota airbag clockspring repairs. The air bag light was intermittent. The consumer believed that since the problem was saftey related he should not have to pay for the reapirs.

Clock spring broke during fast stop and a crash air bag light is on cruise control does not work. I was informed ball joints are on recall left side joints are gone. Car is ibn costa rica and Dodge says warranty is void out of country but these are safety items on recall and not warranty they will nort repair. There iss an authorized Dodge dealer here called automarta.

While driving, the air bag light illuminated on the dash board and stayed on. The air bag module was replaced but the problem resurfaced. The consumer saw recall 01v-153000 which was related to the air bag clockspring dealer they stated that the vehicle was not in the recall, but it has the same model and year. Consumer had to pay for cost of repairs.

The air bag light illuminated for no apparent reason and the speedometer was acting erratically, te vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replace 3 computer modules (center timer module, printed circuit board module and airbag module), the consumer discovered through the internet that there was a recall for his vehicle but was told that the current recall did not fit the mechanical symptoms his truck was experiencing.

Was going 50mp when vehicle started to hydroplane, hit an 18 wheeler. Tire blewout, and front end of truck hit ground. Ran into culbrecht at 50mph. Upon impact neither air bag deployed. Also, air conditioner did not work. Air bag light kept coming on. Insurance inspector checked vehicle. Chrysler inspector informed owner not enough force for air bags to deploy.
