1 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2013 Dodge Dart

Failure Date: 03/21/2021

I was driving home when I turned the corner to proceed on the highway my car would not speed up. I tried several times and it was only reving up the engine like it was stuck. I was able to slowly gain speed but no more then 45 mph. When I would try to gain speed it would reach high rpms but not go anywhere but then it would jerk hard and the transmission was making loud clanking noises like gears shifting more then they should. The engine light came on which it goes off and on all the time. I have also been putting more oil in the car then I've ever had to do. It is using oil and the gas fumes are still horrible from my last complaint and I am not getting good gas mileage like usual.

9 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2014 Dodge Dart

Failure Date: 10/10/2017

For over 2 years my Dodge Dart 2014 bought brand new off a car lot has been having problems with the transmission. Multiple times while driving it would shift into 1 st gear and readline the rpm tach meter and would not shift back up to its proper gear. I have to reset the battery after disconnecting it for 15mins and then sometimes it will continue to operate properly. This has been going on for over 2 years. My car has less than 40,000 miles on. Dodge is just now doing recalls for this problem which is related to the trasmission bushing cable. Just now after its been happening for over 2 years they are trying to offer recalls. I still have yet to be notified officially regarding this matter thru the mail or a phone call, email even. I had to call corporate to ask. Corporate told me something would come in the mail near the end of August. Its the end of August now and still nothing. Then they said to contact local Dodge dealerships and inquire about parts if they had any in stock. They didn't. I don't even drive the car because of this issue. Dodge needs to compensate me back in full and buy back the car or be sued and shut down and no longer allowed to manufacture these pieces of shit. This is insanity. I will never buy another american brand car ever again. Also the gas cap fell off the car and the electronic motor is stripped or defective. Every time I press the button on the driver side of the door to open the gas cap to refill it makes a loud noise for the entire duration of holding down the button. Dodge said there is no recall on that. The front windows also fog up for no reason when its colder. I'm talking about on the inside of the car. Shoddy craftsmenship and should be sued. Ty for reading this.

10 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2015 Dodge Dart

Failure Date: 09/06/2017

Tpms system failure (multiple times) I have had my tpms system repaired three times since I have owned my vehicle and it never fails that it stops working again shortly after getting it fixed. I have no idea if this is considered a safety issue but it could be for some people that don't pay attention to their tires. The right cv axle has also gone out of my car at approximately 70,000 miles. This item was covered by warranty but other friends that own Darts have mentioned having the same problem. It created a bad popping noise and made going over bumps slightly unstable. Transmission shift cable -- this is active recall on my vehicle but figured I would include the information.

12 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2015 Dodge Dart

Failure Date: 04/10/2017

I bought a 2015 Dodge Dart sxt with 32996 miles on it. Got the car on 4-4-2017. I had it not even a month and it's been one thing after another with it. First it dont shift properly it gets to a high rpm then it shoot you forward at a fast speed. Then a very bad knocking in the front end when you turn the wheel from left to right while parked. The dealership looked at it 3 times and couldn't diagnose it but did tell me it needs two up dates that would fix the shifting issue, then said I needed a new right shift axel and I asked them to check the right hub cause the other shop told me the hub was bad. Well they were right on that. So Dodge fixed those things for me. Then said my knocking was from the axel. Two days later its still knocking I had another shop diagnose the knocking to it was the (rack and pinion). I took it back to Dodge and told them and they argued and said no that's not it. Two days later they ordered a rack and pinion. Now the car has been stalling out on me,the shifting problem is back again. One the high way going 75 mph there is a terrible noise coming from tire area along with a vibration that I feel on my feet coming from under the car. Going around highway corners the back end feels like it's slides. All this with in 1 month of owning this car. This car is not and never will be safe for my kids and I,no matter how many times they try to fix it. I got invoices and everything document and I will be getting a lawyer for having to pay 15000 for a lemon when I told the dealership I wanted something else cause there is to many things wrong with it when it's only two years old. I was told no its to late I got all the messages saves on messenger from the sales men at the dealership. What do they expect me to do after the warranties up and it still has issues I can't afford that. I bought a new car so I didn't need to put money into it. This car is a lemon@iwillproveit.

13 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2013 Dodge Dart

Failure Date: 08/09/2016

Takata recall - on 8/9/2016 I purchased this vehicle from a used car dealership. The gear shift/clutch skips, sticks, and jumps, whenever I move it from park to reverse or drive. This happens consistently. Also, the car was sold to me with a dry cable brake wire, which caused the vehicle to make a very loud noise. I reported these issues to the dealer that I purchased this vehicle from, they lubricated the brake cable wire, however, they said that this is normal for dual clutches to do this - skip, jump, and stick. Also, the vehicle hesitates to accelerate, and the dealer that I purchased the vehicle come said this is normal. This car had low mileage on it at the time of purchase (38,013), I have filed a claim against Dodge, because I think this is a major safety issue. Also, I discovered that the previous owner of this vehicle had experienced numerous problems since the time that he purchased this vehicle, which the vehicle had 0 miles on it at that time, and even he filed a claim against Dodge for the very same problems, plus for other component failures since the day that he purchased it.

15 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2013 Dodge Dart

Failure Date: 08/14/2014

I was sitting at a red light while my 2013 Dodge Dart was in drive on August 14, 2014. The light turned green so the car in front of me went. I attempted to drive and the car acted as if it were in neutral. The rpm's of the car climbed to 6000 and the car went nowhere. I put my foot on the brake because the car was in drive and the rpm's were still high. The rpm's lowered and around 2500 rpm's the car lunged forward as if it caught gear. I drove the vehicle home and parked it. I drove it the next day to the dealership and the transmission was making a clicking noise when it shifted. The dealership kept the car for four days. They said they could not duplicate the issue. I picked my car up on August 18, 2014. I drove the car home. On August 19, 2014 I took the Dodge Dart back to the dealership because it sounded as if the clicking in and out when changing gears was happening. I left the car at the dealership once again because I do not feel safe driving a car with transmission issues.

The sun visor no longer stayed in its position.

18 Noises During Shifting problem of the 2013 Dodge Dart

Failure Date: 01/07/2013

I purchased a new Dart, 2013 limited 1. 4 turbo (manual) and when I say new, it had to be built because there were't any on the lots yet. I always felt the car lacked power but assumed it was just the way the car was. Getting out of 1st gear was really tough. Around 6k, after a long road trip, I started to hear a grinding noise when cutting the wheel and throttling in 1st gear or reverse, basically parallel parking. I brought the car to the dealer for its 1st major tune up and mentioned it and they said the didn't hear the noise ( I also mentioned the airbag light would not go away) the air bag light was gone but soon to return. At 9k, I brought the car in again for the same issues! air bag light gone (soon to return) but they said they didn't hear the noise. At 19k I was fuming and got them to go on a test drive with me and they heard they noise! they tried to say it was the CA intake I put in, but I assured them it wasn't and gave them the oem part to prove them wrong. Low and behold after a week they come back with "clutch bearings"! I got the car back and it feels like a- brand new car!! it's amazing! it has power, pick up, the clutch is much easier to work and no noise! I was startled by the power! this is the car I thought I was buying. I have no idea how much gas economy I've wasted after 19k, but I'm just glad to finally have this issue resolved! I really hope this helps those out there so if you have a manual shift and no power/pick-up out of 1st, insist they check the clutch bearings! now let's hope the airbag light doesn't come back on.
