After 5 months of my car being in the shop at cummins Dodge in weatherford ok they brought it to me today stating it was ready and fixed. They were suppose to fix the recall it had. I noticed the shifter knob did not indicate what gear it was in so I called steve at cummins and asked him why it was not showing what gear it was in. Steve stated he would have to get back with the technician and get back with me and did not call back. I had doug gray technician come take a look and he stated they did not fix the recall and also stated that it was a very serious safety hazard right now because since they did not fix it the shifter knob can be engaged into gear without keys being in the vehicle. He said for example if your daughter was to go to the car to get something and accidentally hit the shifter knob iit would go into gear and roll away. He stated that he can put it in gear without turning car on which is very dangerous. They brought me my car today because I refused to drive it home and had no intentions of driving it until I get answers.
The transmission has gone out after the gasket was replaced at the Dodge dealer as a recall. It will not change gears and tries to start out in 4th gear. When you do get it to pull itself the rpm's are 3. 5. The dealer ships say's that they could not have caused the issue but it ran fine before the transmission had the recall replacement of the transmission cable. The cruise control works only if you set it as soon s you start the car, if you don't it will not engage or come on. There is a check engine light that comes on and even when it is on the dealership cannot find any trouble codes. This is gt and I love the car but it does not run 80% of the time.
I purchased my vehicle in July of 2014. In March of 2017, I was driving home from a trip out of town, when the vehicle lost the means to accelerate. The car would only rev, and not engage in any gear. I coasted into a gas station, where I had to wait for a tow truck to transport the car to the dealer. I was informed that the clutch master cylinder, reservoir, and clutch kit all had to be replaced, to the tune of > $2000. I escalated to fca under the x62 TSB, and my repairs, and a rental were provided. Now yesterday, 9/9/19 at 9:00am, my clutch is coming disengaged while accelerating, in all 6 gears, 15-65 mph and I drove it straight to the dealer. I was informed that the warranty period on the previous repair expired 4 months ago. I was also informed that the parts which failed previously were replaced with original parts, which would lead to additional failure. In doing my own research, the 2014 Dodge Dart manual transmissions are equipped with a clutch delay valve. The intention of the cdv is to help inexperienced drivers, but in reality is makes launching jerky, quick shifting difficult, and premature clutch wear a real possibility.

I was pulling out of my driveway and went to shift from reverse to drive. My shift would move, but my car was stuck in neutral. I had to push my car out of the road and since it was not in park, could not completely turn it off and remove my key. I set the emergency brake and had to disconnect battery since accessories would not turn off. Car was towed to dealership on 08/09/2019. Per recall, the recall covers Dodge Dart compact cars from 2013 through 2016 with six-speed automatic transmissions. The company says a bushing can fail, causing the shifter cable to come loose from the transmission. That means when a driver shifts to park or another gear, the gear may not change and the car could roll away. Parts for recall will not be available until September. Dealership cannot fix at this time and manufacturer offered no assistance.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that the transmission shift cable malfunctioned and the vehicle would not shift into gear. The cause of the failure was not determined. Springfield Dodge (1500 GA highway 21, s. Springfield, GA) and the manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 65,000.

We were out shopping for my son a car and had stopped at a dealership left the car running out it in park once we tried to put it in drive the car would not go into gear on may 25th. Had it towed to the dealer we purchased it from ( a chevy dealer) because we have a lifetime power train warranty. The following day we checked our mail and there was a recall on the transmission cable v34. The chevy dealer would not fix the problem cause the part is unavailable so we had to pay again for a tow to a Dodge dealer for a temporary fix!!! we live in a rural area my daughter needs transportation to college but yet the Dodge manufacturer will provide us with a rental until our car is fixed! the car is not drivable the dealer will kit have the temporary part for 3-5 business days!!! I have reached out to other non Dodge dealers and they have stated that if it were their vehicle they would provide their customers with a rental until the car was repaired the gm dealer stated that. I'm assuming they appreciate their customers therefore I or any family members will be buying a Jeep Dodge etc product again!! and I will do whatever it takes to let others know of the poor customer service provided!! we are live paycheck to paycheck like most americans and can't afford a hard ship like this , we also have to pay for both tow bills and the temporary fix until your company releases a reliable part which states could be the end of August and that's when I'll be reimbursed!!! I know those of you making the decisions will laugh at a person like me and my family thinking this is silly but this is truly a hardship on us and you couldn't possibly understand the stress and financial strain it has caused!!!.
I have been having difficulty shifting gears after the car has warmed up. This has been going on for about 2 months now. It has gotten so bad this past week that it almost left me stranded 40 miles from home when I had stopped for fuel. I had put it in neutral with the emergency break on, and it just would not go into any gear when I tried to leave. After cooling for about 20 minutes, I finally managed to catch a gear and go. Sometimes, it will slip out of first or second gear into neutral, while in motion. This morning my husband attempted to move it into the garage due to a storm approaching and he could not get it into any gear and the clutch stuck to the floor. We have not driven it since yesterday, so it wasn't even warm. My husband and I pushed it into the garage.
Car is bucking, not shifting into gear properly. Losing power. When moving.

Finished driving, pulled into parking lot at my apartment and tried placing car into park and it would not go, it is in neutral or is displaying neutral and key is stuck in the ignition and the gear shift will not go into any gear. The vehicle was stationary when this happened. I was just parking the car.
When turning into my driveway to park my car. The gear shifted to neutral when I thought I parked my car I tried to put it in drive, reverse, and park but it would not shift to another gear. Also my key is stuck in the ignition because it's stuck in neutral.
Rolling up to a stop sign and my clutch petal dropped to the floor and stayed there. Could not put it into gear.
I was driving my 2013 Dodge Dart on the highway when all of a sudden it would not go over 45 mph. This has happened before 3 weeks prior, but after turning the car off and back on it went away. I made it to my house pulled into my driveway and went to put it into park, but the gear shift would not go into gear. The key is now stuck in the ignition. I tried disconnecting the battery, but that did nothing. Also the service engine light has constantly been coming on periodically since I've bought the car in 2013. Yet the dealership and 2 other mechanics have never given me a reason why. I called the dealership and they wanted $150 to hook it up to a diagnostic. I do not have it so I'm still trying to figure out what to do.
I parked the car on the side of the street. An hour later, after starting the car and placing the gear in drive, I could not switch gears to reverse or park, and could not shut the car off and remove the key. The gear shift was stuck in drive, and would not disengage even when the battery was disconnected. The car had to be towed. Mobile technician found that the gear shift cable was broken.
While driving 25 mph on the expressway, the service transmission message appeared and the he car started to decrease speed ad would not accelerate. When pulled over, the car would not move when gears were changed.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that the gear failed to shift from the drive to the park without warning. In addition, the key from the ignition failed to be removed. The vehicle was taken to the flowery branch auto care dealer located at 3507 atlanta hwy, flowery branch, GA 30542; where it was diagnosed that the shifter cable needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated on another occasion, while driving at 55 mph, the gear automatically shifted to neutral without warning. The contact could not change the gear, the contact tried to pull over to the side of the road but the vehicle failed to move. The contact waited 25 minutes and the vehicle was able to shift out of neutral. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 57,940.
Key stuck in the ignition and will not go into gear, 81000 miles. Went to put the car in park to check my mail and there were no gears the car would not go into park. I tried to turn the car off and the key would not come out. Having it towed to the shop.
This has happened about 6 or 7 times. I start my Dart and it will not shift into gear. It the clutch will be all the way to the floor and it still will not shift. It has happened a few times when I was driving. It scared me I was glad I was not on a busy street or going really fast. It is also stalling when I have done nothing to make it stall. It will be running and then nothing. It has been scary when this happens. I drive for work and with out my car I can not earn a living. So I have made it work. I am getting worried that something is wrong with my car.
Tamara recall , when I got the car form the dealer ship till now I put a bit over seven thousand miles on a very new 2014dodge Dart gt besides the occasional clutch getting stuck when I ingaged it forcing me to have to pick it up with my toe I had no problems with the car no stalling or rough shifts until last night when I lost all control while on the highway causing me to have to quickly swerve of the road or be hit by the vehicle behind me . Engine which stil run and can accelerate the car will not more in any gear 1-6 or even reverse and even though this is a constant problem on lots odd Dodge Darts that have been recalled they said my VIN doesn't fall under there recall dates.
The car is stuck in neutral and not switching gears for drive. Unable to drive the car. Pressing gas pedal and car does not move in drive.
When shifting from reverse to drive the shifter whet limp and the car was stuck in reverse. I was unable to shift to another gear or remove the keys. The car was stuck in the middle of the street and had to be towed for repair. At the dealership I was told the shift control cable had broken and it would have to be replaced. I was told it was not covered under warranty as the car was older than 36 months. I paid to have the shift control cable replaced. Failure mileage was around 24,000.
Issues with transmission, gears and power. After parking my car and attempting to restart the car would not turn on, multiple lights came on the dash board, and message read that my car did not recognize the gear. Was not able to start car. It was towed to the dealership. On another occasion, I was driving about 30 mph and my car stop working, lost all power and it took about 5 minutes before I was able to use the gears. On multiple occasions the car wont recognize the gears used and it will act as though it is in neutral. I have also experienced a decline of power while driving as well as back firing in the engine when cylinders misfire. Heated seats don't always work and the key fobs don't always work.
Sitting idle in drive-thru car started smoking heavily under the hood and thru the interior vents. Finally stalled. Got it restarted but it would not go into gear. After about 30 minutes, it finally went into drive and I drove it immediately to the nearest Dodge dealer. After a week, they found the dual clutches both needed replaced. Was told that I would have to put the car in n whenever sitting at an idle longer than a few seconds. (this is unacceptable to me). Was also told that I was not to 'ride' the brake. Either "be on in or off of it". (this is also unacceptable to me. ) also, car revs up to ~5,000rpms before shifting from 1st to 2nd but (of course) never does it when I leave it for the dealer. Am not happy with my purchase. My dealer has been good but I will not be buying another Dodge. I buy new for safety, security and reliability and with this vehicle, I feel I have none of the 3. The lease cannot be over soon enough.
On three separate occasions when I am in traffic and have to do a lot of start/stop the car stalls, will not go into gear and start smoking. It smells as if the clutch is burning and the car will not go into gear. I have to pull over for about 30min to an hour to stop this from continuing. This is a brand new car and I have taken it to the dealer and they of course cant duplicate the problem and the tech is telling me the clutch is overheating because of user error. I have been driving a stick shift for about 15 years and have never had any problems with my other stick shifts like this one. Everyone around me can see the car smoking and my daughter is scared to death to get back in the car because she has experienced this twice now and she is only 4 years old she think the car is going to catch on fire. I should not have to pull over for an hour everytime I am in traffic. I live in a city where that is not preventable. There has got to be something that can be done about this.
On 02/18/2013 car would start, but would not go in to gear, error message read put in to reverse and try again. Would not switch into reverse or neutral or drive at all, it was very cold that morning (27) dealership says it is the transmission, still waiting for the parts (03/05/2013).
