44 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2011 Dodge Journey

Failure Date: 09/21/2015

My vehicle has been in the shop twice in 2 weeks. It started with a transmission issue. I was driving to work last Monday when the car would not shift into gear. The engine continued to idle, but it would not go into the next gear. After having it towed to carmax where it was purchased. They sent it to the transmission shop who later confirmed my torque convertor was faulty. So it was replaced. My truck was in the shop from 9/21-9/25. I was finally able to pick it up on Monday 9/28. Well, I picked it up and it was driving fine. Then all of a sudden yesterday 9/30, I go outside on my lunch break and it will not start at all. The lights, clock, radio, seats. . . Etc all work fine. But, the vehicle will not start. No clicking noises or anything. It is not trying to turn over at all. I took it back to the transmission shop who last worked on it and they can not figure out what is wrong. They say the diagnostic machine is not picking up on anything! I have to wait until the morning to call the Dodge dealership to see if they can now take a look at it. This is very frustrating!!!! I will update again once I know what the problem is.

55 Car Will Not Start problem of the 2014 Dodge Journey

Failure Date: 06/05/2015

I purchased this car in Feb 2015. Family and I drove 900 miles from GA to NJ for a funeral. The car would not start, no lights, power steering, nothing! the non-Chrysler dealer blamed Chrysler and Chrysler blamed the non-Chrysler dealer. Chrysler roadside picked up the car Saturday morning and took it to a NJ Chrysler dealer for repair. My family and I had to return to GA on Sunday night. No one provided us with a rental car to return home. We had to secure/pay for a rental vehicle on our own. On Monday (2 days later) the NJ Chrysler dealer had not looked at the car. On Tuesday (3 days later) the NJ Chrysler dealer told me it was the bcm (body control module) = one of the computers and the part was on backorder with no eta. This car had 18k miles and a 2014 when I bought it less than 4 months earlier. I called Chrysler warranty that assigned a case manager. On Wednesday (4 days later) case manager contacted me to submit my receipts for rental car reimbursement, they have a rental car for me in NJ and not GA, and trying to expedite backorder part. I told the case manager that I don't need the rental in NJ, I need it in GA. Have not heard from her since. I am so disappointed in the lack of quality customer service I received from the everyone involved. I am afraid to drive this vehicle from NJ to GA as what is being told to me will be the case in order for me to get the car back. This car is still under warranty and provisions should be made to accommodate me for the repair and inconvenience. I have not received either from Chrysler corporation or the non-Chrysler dealer. I will never by a Chrysler or recommend it to someone.

I own the vehicle in question and have on several ocasions contacted the dealership neilson Dodge in east hanover, NJ where I purchased the vehicle from to fix the systems involvled in this recall, but to no avail. They have told me they do not have the parts to complete the repairs. My car has failed to start several different times and has shut off while I was driving once. There have also been a few times when the vehicle has started, but no electrical systems have worked execpt for the engine.
