My backup camera has a black screen when it was working it was poor quality even if it was clean, the sensors for backing up have failed! warning message comes on on the dash but the fuses and all have been checked big safety issue living where there many children have to park on side of road because can see backing up.

It all started with no starts and had starter replaced and then charging problem had new battery and alternator replaced . Then driving to work all the dashboard lights lit up like a christmas tree and died a couple of times once in the middle of the road . Even when the car was in park and key out of the ignition the lights on dashboard would light up , like the car never totally shut off?replaced ecm afterwards thinking that was the problem but wasn’t the case (I still have the original ecm unit ) and still there was a battery drain , driving it and the lights lit up the dashboard and stalled out . Component/system that failed or malfunctioned & availability for inspection I have experienced multiple safety-critical failures in my 2012 Dodge Journey, including transmission failure, catalytic converter defects, engine repairs, electrical malfunctions, and brake system issues. Pattern of recalls across Dodge Journey models & lack of recall for my vehicle there have been numerous recalls across multiple model years (2009-2020) for the exact same failures my vehicle is experiencing, including: transmission failures and defects engine problems requiring major repairs catalytic converter and exhaust failures brake system failures and premature caliper wear electrical malfunctions affecting windows, wiring, and power systems despite this clear pattern of defects in Dodge Journey models, my specific vehicle has not been recalled for these issues. Dodge/stellantis needs to explain why these defects are not being covered under existing recalls when the same problems have been recognized in other model years. How my safety & others’ safety was put at risk 1. Transmission failure & unsafe driving conditions my transmission failed completely, causing high rpm revving, and loss of acceleration. My vehicle essentially stalled out on the highway. Now, the transmission requires a full rebuild costing over $5,238. 64. Dodge has issued recalls for transmission defects in other Journey model years, but mine is excluded despite experiencing identical failures. 2. Engine repairs & performance failures my vehicle has required major engine repairs, including: camshaft and rocker arm replacements ignition coil replacements thermostat and cooling system repairs Dodge has issued engine-related recalls for other Journey models, including crankshaft/camshaft sensor failures, engine stalling, and overheating risks. My vehicle suffers from the same defects but has not been recalled. These engine issues pose a major safety hazard by increasing the risk of engine stalling, loss of power, and.

The cruise control has stopped working. And there is faulty wiring in the hood making the check engine light come on. And a huge water and oil leak we just got the vehicle Friday 2/21.

Left speaker drivers seat goes in and out with sound. Radio glitches volume goes up and down randomly. Open door alarm sounds randomly. Blue tooth does not work. Sinus x does not work. Back up camera flipped upside down and beeps all the time when in reverse.

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the doors continuously locked and unlocked, and the windows continuously rolled up and down unintendedly. Additionally, the interior lights and the exterior lights turned off and on unintendedly. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that a fee for diagnostic test would be charged. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The liftgate wiring harness is malfunctioning, causing my wiper blade in the rear to be working when it’s not turned off and turns off when you try to work it and my reverse lights are not working. Everything that I have looked up points to the liftgate rear wiring harness has been damaged somehow.

My rear back up camera going bad again I had it replace a few yrs ago and it is doing the same thing again, picture is upside down at times or the image is doing a horizontal rolling making it unusable or going blank and also is distracting when trying to back up and the image catches your eyes while backing up.

I am driving a 2015 Dodge Journey. Randomly, the airbag light came on, followed by loss of all electronics on the steering wheel. The horn will not work, nor any of the switches on the steering wheel. I did find that this is a common issue with Dodge vehicles under recall 18v332000 and 17v432000. I was told at the dealership that my specific Dodge Journey did not group into that recall however is experiencing those same issues. I am unsure if the airbag will even deploy in this state, coupled with the failure of the horn, this vehicle is not safe to drive.

Vehicle has oil cooler leak which plastic oil filter casing and oil cooler adapter cracked and leaked. Oil pooled up on top of engine casing channel below intake plenum and dripped down to electrical connectors that go into transmission. Engine oil heated and smoked because of heated motor and smoke goes into vehicle cabin causing oil smoke film inside with occupants. Oil mist is in the inside windshield and outside windshield along with wipers. There is a recall for this year Journey 2015 this year engine 3. 6 vet and transmission combination fwd 6spd ;however, the VIN number is not applying to correct the oil cooler and filter replacement under a recall. There is an upgraded part made that does not fail s44 recall; however I had to pay full price for the repair at a dealership and they replaced with the upgraded recalled part. The recall for this repair is s 44 why was not my VIN and vehicle covered under this recall number? please include my VIN number in this recall as well since everything is the same for s44.

While driving on the freeway some of the lights on my dash kit up and all the sudden my car would not go over 15 mph. I tried to turn it off and turn it back on and it continued to do the same thing. I did have my grandkids in the car.

Lighting bolt with parentheses came on along with off road sign. I was unable to accelerate past 20 mph and then I just rolled to a stop in morning traffic with my flashers on. I took it to dealership and they replaced my key battery since I told them I was also having problems lock and unlocking my car. I was told this should solve the problem. It did for about 3 weeks now lights back on car won’t accelerate only till and it’s shaking bad.

Recently I have been having issues with the rear back up camera in the vehicle not working turning off beeping when nothing is around, also glitching and showing the camera upside down. I am also experiencing battery drainage in the vehicle I have just had the battery replaced and the alternator replaced as well, while I am searching online for common issues this seems to be happening to a large amount of people and the issues just keep equaling out to more then one problem. The contact owns a 2018 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, check engine light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed failures with the transmission, catalytic converter, and motor mounts. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 18v524000 (electrical system), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 86,000.

I’ve had to replace the thermostat 4 times in 6 months, pto was just repaired and now it fails to accelerate past 2000 rpm, transmission is clunking when shifting. I just got my car back from the Chrysler dealership.

Heater hose malfunction. No issues spotted but within 24 hours the car began to smoke and the hose obtained a leak and leak anti freeze while driving the entire hose blew up while car was in motion and came to a complete overheated stall in the middle of a busy intersection. I had to throw hazards on and could not exit the vehicle due to heavy traffic and unsafe conditions. No warning lights for a leak or empty reservoir where coolant goes. At blow up the antifreeze flushed to the engine and all oil flushed to the radiator cause an immediate engine block. No recalls for this hose but plenty of research on the hose needing to be removed and replaced with the previous version shaped as a letter y. Purchased this vehicle brand new 3 years ago only 12 miles kept up with oil changes and new tires only issue I've ever had kept up with annual flushes and maintenance as well. This part could have cost me my life in that intersection and central dispatch had to be called to stop traffic vehicle towed for $230 and repairs over $10,000 for a new engine. Now being charged $22,000 the remaining balance on the vehicle for damages beyond my control that should have been a recall.

Rear camera only turns on 30% of the time. The camera is in the rear view mirror and when it doesn’t work it puts a black screen in the rear view mirror putting many lives in danger.

My reverse lights, rear wiper and plate light have all stopped working due to severed wires in the liftgate wiring harness at the hinge area. This is a faulty design by Dodge, a safety concern and an issue that is widespread and reported on the internet.

The abs module has failed. There was a recall r61 issued previously for this issue of moisture causing abs module failures. The original recall was completed on this vehicle [xxx]. There is no documentation that the abs module itself was replaced at that time since this is a tiered recall. The abs module has now failed and there is evidence on the electrical plug that moisture was present during a recent inspection by an ase certified mechanic. I took the car to academy cjd dealership in tipton, indiana and they refused to perform the recall again since it supposedly had already been completed. They wanted to charge me a fee to 'diagnose' further. I contend that even though the recall or partial recall was previously completed, the abs has failed due to the issue the original recall was supposed to prevent. I have a picture of the abs electrical connector showing evidence of shorting due to moisture. Please let me know if Dodge should be required to complete the recall again, since the abs failed again. Didn’t get into accident but a couple months ago my car wouldn’t start , wouldn’t try to the lights wouldn’t come on nothing. Someone cleaned battery terminal it started . Now randomly sometimes it won’t start it will try but won’t so I put it neutral and barley push it toward put it back in park then it will start .

I am so not happy with jacob conlon who works at Mitsubishi in la porte. I realized that he was playing with me all the time and that he never repaired my SUV until I found out from danny who works at Dodge.  I dropped it off at service and picked it up more than 5 times  because jacob never repair it .

I bought my 2017 Dodge Journey new in 2017 about 2mouths ago I start having problems with my windows now going up or down , I bought a new window switch and still didn’t work . I notice broken wires in the driver side wire harness,I believe this s a safety issue and needs to be addressed immediately thanks .

I had purchased the vehicle in early April of 2024 from drive time in langhorne PA. I've had mechanical / engine issues since then. ***radio system not working properly no longer connecting properly to phone, sounds muffled to the receiver on the other end of call, audio connect is not allowing me to be heard and I got a brand new updated phone! thinking that was the issue. It wasn’t the phone, there was a precious recall regarding system updates issues, that I saw on here, but I was never notified about it!! *audio hands free won’t map my iphone, to the car bluetooth system will not connect at times, ****instrument panel lights are not showing, radio goes off while driving often, not working properly, *****back up camera not working properly: *back up camera not working properly, noticed blurry, not able to see properly at night. ****back up parking assist lines are not as bright and clear when backing up, image is no longer vivid! *difficulty seeing behind you at night when backing up, looks like snow on a tv screen ! ** road system comes on by its self and stays on at times, car is serviced regularly!.

All doors get stuck locked and/or unlocked. Key fob will not lock or unlock and door panels will not unlock our lock. 999 back wiper only works intermittently.

My vehicle stopped working all together. It only has 45 thousand miles on it. The dealer found that the abs module shorted out and caused the whole car to loose communication. The dealer informed me that the replacement part was under review by Chrysler engineers and production has stopped so there is no replacement for this part and so I contacted Chrysler and was told that they don't have an estimated time for new part production. This issue is not only a financial concern but also a safety as my vehicle has no abs, lights and will not run and drive. I have a car that I cant even repair because of lack of part production so now I'm out financially as well with no idea on how long it will take to get repaired.

So on 7/1/24 our vehicle started overheating some. And then we had the check engine light to come on along with another light that looks like a lightning bolt inside an inside out parenthesis. So I research the symbol and it came back as an issue with the electric throttle control which is also means there is a problem with the electric parking brake. And then a mesage came on that said oil temp high speed may be limited. And then it started smoking really bad under the hood. So I researched some more and found out back in 2018 there was a recall on the same issue that was completed on September 23rd 2018.

As I was driving my 2016 dj just list power. . I coast my to the side of the road. I try cranking the car up but it wouldn't crank up. So I had it towed to my house which were about 5 mins away. Please help me with my car. Vehicle would not go up small hills.

Electronic stability control (esc), service brakes, hydraulic the light for the stability control came on and my brakes chatter feels like there's bumps on the disc . Its pulling to the right , . . Also my door locks have failed . First it started with my rear windshield wiper running with the switch off ,than my reverse lights and now the locks . The back door does not lock at all and the door locks work sometimes . The electronics on my car is failing @ 120,000 it started . Its now at 150,000 tried everything still wont work.

The back up camera does not display an image. It will only show black, with a camera slashed out symbol.

Pull over police officer stated said lights are to dim to be driving at night told me I need to have my lights checked out. While driving about 60- 62 mph the vehicle just shut down without warning trying push the accelerator it would not go no further stuck on interstate with emergency blinkers if could of cause bad accident or someone could of hit me without warning. Dodge Journey I need some assistance with my vehicle opposite site interstate.
