My rear bumper which is a tow bumper just started rusting after the 36 month warranty has expired. I have an extended bumper to bumper warranty, but I was told this was not covered. I was also told by the dealer that this was not the first one that they had seen. They suggested that maybe it was bad plating which was causing the rust . This is a costly repair about $575. 00 I just don't want other people to be caught off guard and to watch their rear bumper for defects.

Severe corrosion of painted front and rear bumpers compomises the structural integrity of the bumpers.
