Door Problems of Dodge Ram 1500

Tl the contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the rear power doors failed to open and close. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to jones Ford wickenburg (555 e wickenburg way, wickenburg, az 85390, (844) 524-1981) where it was diagnosed that the wire harnesses needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 188,011.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. Drivers side door handle stuck in the lock position. Will not unlock from the outside. Possible defect and very common problem per Dodge dealer. Safety issue.

The handle to assist getting into my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 came loose and dropped me on the ground. Being 69 years old this is unacceptable. On top of it all I had to pay for a new one. . . . The problem started in 2009. Went to drive the truck and could not get the truck to drive over 20 mph. Was able to get it to a dealer close by and had to have the throttle body positioning sensor replaced. Since that date I have had to have this same sensor changed 8 more times. Each time the private mechanic talks to Chrysler and they recognize there is a faulty problem with this part and will not recall the item. When this sensor goes out it will not let you drive more than about 20mph. Also had to replace the accelerated pedal positioning sensor 4 times. Blinker problems noted by many other consumers I have also had. Where you turn on the left blinker and the right blinker comes on. As well as the a/c problem many consumers have mentioned the door breaks and then all you have is outside air coming in. My mechanic has tried to get replacement parts from Chrysler to repair the problem and Chrysler does not sell this part (please explain to me how they can make the vehicle and not sell the part to repair it when it breaks knowing it breaks often). Tie rods have also been a problem with my truck. No matter how tight they are they continue to come loose even after being replaced and then the truck will shake. My main concern at this point is it intermittently will die while driving down the highway. It will start right back up but will die again and then it wont duplicate the problem for 2 or 3 days and then will do it again. Have not been able to diagnose this problem yet. If anyone knows any suggestions to look at please advise.

2003 Dodge Ram 1500 dashboard has fallen into pieces. Dealer stated it was a common problem, but not a recall item. Cost for parts over $800. 00 dollars. This does not include labor.

While getting into 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 the mounting handle inside the cab failed and caused me to fall off the running tube onto the ground striking my head. I am handicapped and require a strong grip to assist me into the cab of the truck. This vehicle was chosen due to its wide doors as my foot has been fused and will not bend. I am not sure why I was not seriously injured.

Passenger side door on the bottom is real thin and is rusting out. It crumbles when you touch it. We had a body man that works on vehicles take a look out it. He stated it would be very difficult if possible to fix it without replacing the whole door. We have had other customers with the same problem on these vehicles.

Weatherstripping at front of drivers side door is torn due to rubbing when the door is opened and closed.

Consumer states that when trying open the rear doors it will heavily vibrate and will make a loud popping noise. Dealer notified ts.
