Vehicle stalls after a gas fill-up. Dealer had filled the vehicle up and it stalled repeatedly for about 10 miles and then was fine. The next time I filled it up it stalled repeatedly again. I returned it to dealer for repair. They replaced the charcoal canisters and purge valve solenoid. After the next fill up it did not stall. However, after the second fill-up it started missing at highway speeds and then stalled on an exit/entry ramp of short curvature and had to be hurriedly restarted while turning at high speed. This is a definite safety issue and should be a recall. Social media is rampant with this issue with Dodges. Not filling the tank with gas is not a solution to this problem as some would suggest. This needs to be rectified!!!.

When I purchased this Dodge Ram 1500 hemi 5. 7 it had a bad engine. After the engine was fixed, I notice the truck would just stop running or stall and no engine light. I would start it back up and it would kill at anytime I would slow down to turn or slow down to stop. This would happen 2 to 10 times a day. Then not for a day or two. When I looked online there are a lot of people with this problem. The dealer is not fixing the problem. This can kill someone and I had to stop my son from using this truck. Because I was afraid he would get killed or kill someone else. There should be a recall for this matter.

While coming to a stop, the truck lost all power and stalled. I immediately restarted the truck and proceeded to the next intersection, and it lost power and stalled again while braking to a full stop. I was able to make it two miles closer to my home, came to a stop and the engine revved up slightly, and then idled low to the point where I thought it was going to stall again. I got it home and had it towed to my mechanic. The truck was checked out, the truck did not stall after repeated testing for the next week. I picked it up, got a quarter mile down the road and it lost power and stalled again. I immediately returned it to the mechanic and, again, the truck did not duplicate the stalling, but the mechanic did see it rev up when coming to a stop. The mechanic replaced the idle positioning sensor and I picked up my truck only for it to stall on my way home. My mechanic has had my truck more than I have over the last two months and the problem remains undiagnosed. After basic research on Dodge forums, this is a problem that many other people are dealing with and nothing has been done to address this issue. This is a major safety issue considering that the truck loses power and stalls without warning in the middle of turns and coming to a stop. Please help resolve this issue before it costs someone their life. I am not the only person having this problem.

Engine idle spiked and dropped in rush hour stop and go traffic until the truck eventually stalled. I placed the truck in park and tried restarting. The "electronic throttle control" light illuminated in the dash. I turned the truck off and tried restarting. The starter turned over but the truck acted as if an element needed for combustion was missing. I turned my hazards on--as traffic was clearing around me. I tried starting the truck a dozen times before calling 911 (since I was in the middle of an interstate hwy). At this time traffic was speeding by so fast on both sides that I could not exit the vehicle. State patrol came to push me to the shoulder. Truck started again on the shoulder after several attempts and I managed to move it about 50 feet before it died again. Had truck towed to nearest dealership where they informed me it may take up to 2 weeks before they can diagnose my truck. Still under warranty. Second time this has happened with this vehicle in 6 weeks. First time dealership drove truck 84 miles and returned it with a note saying they could not replicate the problem.

My 2010 Dodge 1500 truck stalled on my wife almost getting her in a wreck, she pulled it over and put it in park and it started right up. Took it into the Dodge dealership and they said it was the computer chip and fixed it. Two days later wife was driving it again and it stalled. I drove it and it did it to me when I was entering on a two lane highway it stalled and I almost got hit by a semi, pulled it over and put it in park and it started up. Brought back to Dodge and they told me it was the spark plugs. They replaced them at $225 at my cost and said it was fixed. Two days later the truck stalled on my wife again. She is scared to drive the truck now because she doesn't want to get into and accident with kids . Brought back to Dodge and talked to the manager about the safety of the truck. They told us that they needed to replace the tipm module at $1400 dollars. It's been about a month and a half and now after replacing the tipm it is still stalling. Went down to the Dodge dealership and all they said was that there still looking at the electrical problem. All I want is my truck back fixed and to drive it safely. .

Driving down the road and the truck just stalls out loose all power and controling is very hard to steer.

My 2014 Dodge ram hemi truck is like the motor is just stalling out it looses all power and slows down. You do not have to restart the motor it will just automatically start running. The truck has done this on me several times at low speed but fri I was getting on the expressway and was moving pretty fast when it was just like the truck had stalled out it was a good thing that I still had the entrance lane to swing back in as a big truck went by. When I let off the gas peddle it was just like it had started back. It did this on me 4 more times while on my way to and from where I was going. I called the place where I bought the truck and tried to get them to let me stop by and check the truck because I was only about 5 miles away and the service man told me they were to busy that he had no one to check it out that he would have to set me up an appointment which he did for this coming Friday a week from the day this happened. When it stalled when I was getting on the expressway this really scared me when I had to swing back into the entrance lane as the tractor trailer went by. To me this was something that should have been checked immediately. I have a recall notification on the radio frequency which I told the service manager about(jeff) an he said he didn't think this would cause my problem.

Driving vehicle at 55 mph on expressway applied the brake and the truck stalls. It also will stall at stop signs and red lights no codes come up and truck restarts. Letting off the brake pedal the truck will avoid stall very dangerous situation.

Since March of 2013 I've made several panic stops to avoid running a red light. I DE accelerated from 30 to 0 and the truck stalled when it came to a stop. Additional complaint is every now and then the truck won't start. The engine turns over, but dosen't start. I have to turn the key to the off position and then it starts on the re try.

On a daily basis the engine on my 09 Dodge ram crew cab will die at least 3-4 times a day while driving around 20-30 mph. I have taken my truck to my local dealership 5 times to get the issue fixed. They have replaced the computer 3 times. The issue still happens on a daily occurrence. I have duplicated the issue multiple times to the service agent, but magically when they have my truck for two weeks at a time the vehicle stalling does not occur and they cannot "recreate" the issue. I have had several close accidents due to this issue and something needs to be done. This issue does not pull any codes when hooked up and has been diagnosed by the dealership as a "phantom" problem. This is a serious issue that needs to be fixed before my family gets seriously injured!!.

Truck stalls out for no reason. Tends to happen when slowing down and at lower speeds. Loose power steering and control. I have since changed the throttle body. Truck still stalls.

At about 18000 miles on vehicle it suddenly stalled. Throttle body control light came on, rpm dropped to almost zero. Pumping gas pedal had no effect. Condition lasted about 15 to 25 seconds. Took truck to dealer and was informed it needed a throttle body software update. This was done. Also was performed again later. The stalling is intermittent some times not happening for weeks then again it will happen up to 3 times in a week. Bit once stalled on my lady as she was crossing an intersection . Vehicle now has 77000 miles on odometer . I thought this just a hassle until about three weeks ago. As I was merging on to the interstate at about 65 mph in front of a big truck the vehicle stalled for a long period. The big rig was within a very few feet of my vehicle before engine started running again. Needless to say this scared me big time. This was when I started to look for someone to be in my corner on this vehicle has been serviced by Dodge dealership regularly since new. Each time I have reported stalls and at one time had a case opened with Chrysler. I am told they find nothing and they only have my word this is happening. This from dealer and Chrysler.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab 5. 7l hemi 2wd and it continues to stall every now and then at low speeds or at a complete stop. Vehicle will start right up with no problem but battery gauge takes a few seconds to rise to operating levels. Transmission also feels like it wants to slip at time of stall. Had engine and trans changed, battery and alternator checked out okay as well. Did some research and found that a lot of incidents happen after vehicle transmission ha been serviced or transmission fluid is low; other individuals who have experienced this problem have said they had the erg valve, tps sensor, map sensor and even software. I don't know what the problem is but you end up spending hundreds of dollars trying to figure this out. I don't know why Chrysler doesn't address this issue.

Was at a complete stop waiting to turn onto my road and when I went to step on the gas nothing,no lights or sound indicating that it had stalled. Read online of the samething happening to others while driving even at slow speeds etc. And it would stall losing power steering and brakes. This needs to be addressed before someone gets hurt or killed. I refuse to drive my truck until I can get something done about it. Dangerous.

As stated in other complaints, the vehicle will stall after slowing down at intersection of driving in heavy traffic. If you ride the brake and gas, you can keep from stalling. This incident started to happen after a smell of gas vapor smell after filling tank. Researched stalling and gas smell, was led to other scalp notice for hemi gas tank due to ethanol gas causing the rollover valve in the gas tank to expand and not close. When you fill the tank you get liquid gas in the purge vapor canister and line. This giving you the gas smell upon filling. I have stopped filling the tank past 3/4 and have not had the issue since. Kind of disappointed that other hemi models gas tanks were recalled, but not the truck even though it has the same issue.
