There is a class action law suit for newer rams mine has always done same thing since I have owned it occasionaly during slow speed turns it will shut off it will restart imediatly I have owned vehicle 4 years bought with 127000 miles now have 205000 miles on it.

Sometimes when you stop at a red light or stop sign and then try to go the truck dies especially after getting gas and sometimes happens when turning to the right. We have taken it to the Dodge dealership several times for this problem but they haven't fixed it. We have a lifetime warranty but they haven't fixed it. The date at the bottom is the last time it happened but it has been happening for a few years and the dealership in tyler, texas has not fixed it.

Hello, I have had a problem with my Dodge ram the fuel line system just cracked and caused my vehicle to catch fire and blow up while myself in my 7 year old granddaughter was in the vehicle my vehicle has been maintained since day one when I bought it brand new never having problems with it other than your will wells were never drilled out to drain the water in the back I would like to know if you have had other issues with this vehicle on the same incident. Myself in my granddaughter inhale very toxic fumes before we were able to get out the truck as it was on fire and inches away when it exploded. Pics and report wont download thank you.

I have reported this same problem numerous times before. The engine just quits on the highway with a loss of steering and braking. It seems to happen after refueling and a strong odor of fuel is noticed. This happened within 2 or 3 minutes after refueling and while approaching interstate 35 in waco, TX, on 11/30/2018. An inquiry was made to the local dealership who said they were unaware of the problem and that no complaints have been filed with them. In reviewing other consumer websites that is not true, there are numerous complaints about this same problem and it is definitely a critical safety issue. It is time for the government to investigate this issue before someone is killed or seriously injured.

Took my truck to a local dealership bc my engine light came on & started to blink & ding. Barely made it there & so they checked it & said the rocker arm needs replacing. So they ordered it & said its on back order & that there were 600 ahead of me. If it's so many that need this part, it should be a recall on it. I've been waiting for 3 1/2 weeks & still I don't have my truck.

The contact then called him back and was informed that they would have to order the parts which could take up to a month. This dealer was not close to where the contact lives and can not take his vehicle to be serviced at this dealer. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. After filling truck, and not topping off, the truck engine will "die" when making a right turn. This has been happening after every fill-up now. I have to put it in neutral then it will restart. This is a dangerous situation but I handle it well. Our Dodge caravan did the same same thing in 2016 and Dodge replaced the fuel tank, filter canisters. It cured the problem. I just called Dodge and they logged my problem but that was it! anyone else having this problem. It does not throw a code by the way! can anyone help? the vehicle was in motion, city street etc. I have a new engine and the problem was the same afterwords. They found no problem on test drives.

About 2 1/2 years ago I was driving my truck on a state highway travelling around 55 to 60 mph when the engine suddenly died. Of course my power steering no longer worked but I was able to pull off the road. This was a scary situation that could have turned out very badly. Luckily, I was in a spot where I could pull over. This particular highway doesn't have a lot of shoulder area. I turned the key off and turned it back on and the truck started back up and everything was fine. This happened a couple of more times when I was travelling on the highway at higher speeds and also driving on a city street at lower speeds. I took it to my mechanic and he connected a code reader and based on the codes it was showing he changed both the cam shaft position sensor and the crank shaft position sensor but the engine continued to die while the vehicle was in motion. The last time it happened was on 1/21/2018 on the same state highway except that this time it didn't want to start back up. I had it towed to a different mechanic and he ran compression tests that showed very little compression on one side of the engine and no compression on the other side. He said he wouldn't be able to tell me what was wrong with it until he opened the engine which would cost several hundred dollars and then who knows how much after the problem was determined. I have not had the money to do that so it has been sitting at the mechanic's garage for the past 2 1/2 years. Every other mechanic I talked to said that I should just go ahead and replace the engine, which I cannot afford to do. They said 2006 was one of the worst years for the Dodge ram engine. When it died it was 11 years old but had less than 110,000 miles on it.

Brought my vehicle in for a tune up and recalls, they did a 23 point check and advised me to drive the vehicle 200 miles and return, started the engine after a couple of days and oil and antifreeze exploded all over the engine, was advised to refill and drive to ri suretsky, the engine cut off on the hwy, they xame and towed me saying my engine was blown, wouldnt they see this after spending 2500. 00 on repairs, my truch was in good shape pryor, thankyou.

I have a 2011 Dodge ram. I had to mark 2009 because my year want in the options. I have replaced my fuel pump twice to find out I have a bad tipm. My fuel pump won't shut off even when the truck is off causing a dead battery. Windows roll up and down on their own, truck losses power out of no where, and door locks won't work sometimes. I've spent a few thousand to try to get this fixed just to learn it's the tipm. Your options won't allow me to check the proper boxes.

Traveling approx 35 mph when engine suddenly just stopped running. No warning symptoms. I have 93000 on my truck and the lifter seizes I change my oil as recommended this is to low of miles to deal with this problem.

The engine randomly dies. At idle or driving, at all speeds. It starts right back up. I have had the truck worked on at 4 shops and two dealerships. I have spent over $10,000 string to get the problem fixed. It is a very dangerous situation. I have beeen trying to resolve this problem for 3 years.

An electrical fire started under hood of vehicle. No signs of anything being wrong before the fire and vehicle had been parked and sitting in driveway for at least 24 hours before fire was seen and reported to police and fire dept. Nobody was home when this happened.

Parked truck at brookshires to get gas, started truck up and bam blew the intake out the back killed the engine everyone hit the pavement it was so loud like a bomb! started it back up bad knocking and started to rev itself up to 5k rpms due to vacuum leak with insert damaged on back of intake. Took engine all apart to find a valve seat shattered destroying the head on both sides due to the valveseat breaking into about 20 small pieces it sucked a few over across the engine to cylinders across ruining 2 pistons, both heads, have all evidence still.

2009 Dodge Ram 1500, 5. 7 hemi, 74000 miles. Developed ticking in the engine at idle and acceleration. Within a couple days engine light came on with shuddering under small load (up hill highway). Took to the local dealership that day. They discovered that the roller lifter failed (seized) and ground the cam lobe flat causing the misfire in one of the cylinders. $4300 repair bill! this is very common in the 5. 7 hemi and not just the ram, so common in fact that the dealership called and said the repair is on hold because the lifters are on backorder! google "failed 5. 7 hemi lifters". . . Some vehicles don't make it 25000 miles before this happens. Chrysler has since changed the part number of the lifter because they know there was a defect or design flaw. But when you ask for assistance with the repairs they don't acknowledge there is a problem. This issue needs to be investigated, there are too many of them out there.
