The truck is falling apart. The welds are coming apart & the whole body is rotting faster than I can fix it. I will not be able to get another inspection sticker. I have replaced the transfer case, water pump, serpentine belt & pulleys, rear drive shaft, upper & lower ball joints, tyrods and the whole brake system. The truck needs to be recalled.

2 Water Pump problem of the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 06/08/2015

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 55 mph, the front passenger side wheel seized. In addition, the driveshaft detached completely. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the water pump and front passenger side driveshaft were replaced. The contact was uncertain of the repair part that was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000.

3 Water Pump problem of the 2000 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 07/14/2012

Linkage in steering column will remain in 2nd gear when I have put it in drive. It has been in mechanics twice. Twice into mechanics regarding antifreeze spilling inside the cab of truck. Repair was on water pump both times. Still having problems with both concerns. Resulting in health issues being at risk linkage while in motion on highway. Antifreeze spewing inside cab of truck on windshield, carpet and mats, also center of cab near 4 wheel gear shifter. Occurs when stationary or when driving.

4 Water Pump problem of the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 12/26/2009

I have had to replace the water pump 5x in 2 years. The water pump was replaced, the fan and the fan clutch was replaced once during this time. No one seems to know why this keeps happening.

5 Water Pump problem of the 2003 Dodge Ram 1500

Failure Date: 02/11/2003

The contact owns a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact noticed that the thermostat indicator on the instrument control panel indicated that the vehicle was overheating. On some occasions, he can see antifreeze and water leaking from the vehicle. He took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the water pump. The contact experienced an identical failure several months later and the dealer replaced the reservoir. Currently, the vehicle continues to overheat. The dealer has made numerous repairs, but none of them have successfully remedied the failure. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 2,000 and current mileage was 69,145.
