1 Gasoline Engine problem of the 2002 Ford E-350

2002 Ford e350 at 39,000 miles one spark plug blew. . Out of head. Ford dealership said they would only replace the entire head at a cost over $5,000. 00 dollars. Had repaired with helcoil at local repair shop. Again at 79,000 miles two spark plugs blew out of head. Not yet repaired.

Consumer states the 1997 Ford v-10 caught fire under the hood, consumer is unsure of cause. Yd consumer states no further information has been available from insurance company or dealership, consumer mentions that on dog died due to the fire.

7 Gasoline Engine problem of the 1998 Ford E-350

Failure Date: 12/04/1999

On 08/23/99 while making a left turn lost power from engine, over 1/2 tank of gas ,accesories still working ,engine still running . After repeated presses of the gas pedal it finally started to respond . The dealer could find nothing wrong . It had happen once before but we did not right down all the particulars. On 12/4/99 while driving 20 mph lost all power from gas pedal , engine still running ,idling poorly, coasted to side of road while continously pumping gas pedal after stopping and another 15 to 20 seconds of pumping it finally started to accelerate. Will be taken to dealer again for repairs, hopefully.

While driving vehicle lost compression . The vehicle would not exceed speeds of 20 mph. The dealer and manufacturer have been notified.

9 Gasoline Engine problem of the 1996 Ford E-350

Failure Date: 06/01/1996

While driving up a steep hill and then downshifting back down the hill, engine quit at the bottom of the hill, and the braking system malfunctioned, which may have caused an accident. In order to stop the vehicle, needed to apply the emergency parking brake. Been to dealer numerous times. Dealer cannot determine problem.
