1 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2009 Ford Edge

Failure Date: 08/03/2016

The brake pedal on my 2009 Edge began making a horrible noise and going right to the floor on occasion when pressed both when stationary or on the road. Within one week it continued to get worse with the noise getting louder and the pedal going to the floor more frequently. When we brought it into Ford we were told that there was a recall on the booster assembly for the Edge. Once they entered the VIN number we were told that our Edge was built months before the recall date and that it would not be covered. We were charged $675. 63 for the parts and labor and we were told to report it in case the dates were ever expanded to include our vehicle.

3 Brake Loud Noise problem of the 2013 Ford Edge

Failure Date: 02/21/2014

I took my car into the don davidson Ford dealership in arlington texas because it has been breaking weird, smelling funny, shaking hard & losing speed on the freeway(all at once) which it does spastically. The said they can't reproduce the problem so there's nothing wrong & gave it back to me on Friday. I went straight to the mall & it did it again so I took it back immediately. They kept it for a few hours & tried to give it back again, saying that I drove with the ebrake on (which it wasn't). Now I left my car there, they haven't done anything & I'm paying for a rental for the fourth day because I'm afraid to drive my own car. Ford corporate office told me it was my decision to drive it or not & they can't help. On the trip to the mall I heard a loud noise when I braked & now the rotors are messed up too. I don't know what to do, I still owe $34,000 on my 2013 Ford Edge and it has been recalled for brake issues but they won't help.
