Upon beginning. To move forward (pulling into traffic) the engine will sometimes stall(cut off) . Other times it will begin to run very rough sometimes causing ithe engine to stall. Although this vehicle does not seem to be part of recall # 14s30 or #14s20 the conditions are very similar to these reports.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. While driving 25 mph, a hissing noise was detected and the engine stalled. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also smelled a horrible odor inside the vehicle when the failure occurred. While driving down the interstate at 55 mph in heavy traffic, the engine suddenly started running extremely rough, jerking and lurching, while losing power. The "engine fault - service now" warning display illuminated and the engine stalled out.
