Gasoline Engine Problems of Ford Expedition - part 2

After parking vehicle exploded in flames, totaled. Only 2000 miles. Ford said recall 98v312 does not apply. Problem may be more pervasive than Ford thinks. Still under investigation.

Over the past two years, there have been two incidences where vehicle has lost engine power while driving on highway, cruise control engaged both times, vehicle regains power after the engine is shut off for about 15 minutes, the vehicle has been serviced for this problem 4 times, dealership is not able to duplicate malfunction and therefore could not solve problem. Cj.

While pulling out from a stop sign vehicle will just cut off.

While driving or coming to a stop or a yield sign, vehicle hesitates which could cause a crash. Dealer cannot determine the cause of the problem. Please provide further information.

On many occasions vehicle experienced vibration which resulted in loss of idle strength, causing failure.

Automobile hesitates from a complete stop while attempting to accelerate. Consumer has escaped accidents twice. Both times had to get to the shoulder to avoid the other automobile.

Three engine replacements within 35,000 miles.

In two weeks time, I have had my engine completely fail while exiting.

Engine rough idle. Vehicle "rumbles" at idle. Dealership contacted; no satisfaction.

Dealer said it was normal to put in a quart of oil every thousand miles. Consumer does not agree, none of prior vehicles needed that much oil.

While parked for short period of time the vehicle exploded and caused a fire without prior warning. Cause unknown. Dealer cannot determine problem .

When starting the vehicle it would shut off and could not be restarted, the vehicle was taken to the dealer but the problem could not be found. Nlm.

Parts of rubber kept coming off, engine kept loosing to much oil but claimed they could not find why. Has done this since I bought it now find the problem the intake is busted can not pay to fix it . Never get recall notices. No safety defect.
