On 11-12-2020, our 2016 Ford f150 experienced a serious and dangerous brake failure. Without warning, the right front brake line ruptured while stopping. . The driver was able to stop the vehicle while avoiding a collision. Inspection by one of our company mechanics revealed that the brake line failed at the upper crimp. The brake line was replaced with an oem part and the brake system was bled. Vehicle mileage was 110546. On 11-19-2021, our 2016 Ford f150 experienced a serious and dangerous brake failure. Without warning, the left front brake line ruptured while stopping with a different driver. The driver was able to avoid colliding with another vehicle at a stop light by slamming the vehicle into park. Inspection by one of our company mechanics revealed the brake line, like the left front one a year prior, failed at the upper crimp. The brake line was replaced with an oem part and the brake system bled. Vehicle mileage was 129149. After both failures, power Ford's service department was contacted with this safety concern. They responded by stating that they had not seen any problems with late model f150 brake . Lines. Our company vehicles undergo regular servicing and brake fluids are checked. This vehicle was out of warranty prior to the first failure, and warranty wasn't an issue and wasn't claimed. However, brake lines typically last much longer than five years without any problems and our company feels that this could be a major safety issue.

When traveling about 65mph on highway vehicle shakes and vibrates. Brakes are defective and hold a little. Dealership is aware of problem.
When appyling brakes, brake pad will rub against rotor, causing the rotors to warp. Consumer states while applying brakes, the front right wheel grabbed making a thumping noise causing the surface of the rotor to flake. The flaking chewed the brake pads excessively. Rotors had to replaced.

Steering column broke while consumer was driving, consumedr lost control of vehicle which ran into a dirt bank. Contacted dealer who was not willing to do anything. Consumer stated that while driving at 26 mph on a dirt road, a deer ran out of the woods, he hit his brakes and heard a popping sound and had no control of the truck, also the steering was not responding with the turn of the wheel. Consumer was injured.

Brakes had been vibrating, and dealer repaired them under warranty first time, second time was under protest. Presently, brakes are doing it again, and Ford will not help with problem. Consumer states it has only been 19000 miles after being fixed under warranty and the brake problem has come back again.
Consumer stateed that the wheel locks up while braking also,the brake pedal, drum, rotors and pads were failed and replaced.
While driving the brakes completely locked up causing vehicle to nearly go into a ditch, consumer was injured when slammed into door during lock up, the calipers and brake components were severly rusted which caused lock up to occur.
Front brakes bolt broke off from the brake causing the rt. Frt. Wheel to lock up upon braking.
All four brakes wear out within 3000 miles. Brakes have been replaced on 5 different occasions under warranty. Dealer requested buyback from manufacturer but was denied.
Consumer states that the rotors and pads have had to be replaced and repaired a numerous amount of times, but the problem is still occuring. Contacted dealer and the dealer cannot find the problem. Nlm.
When putting on brakes pedal it would go have way to floor before truck would stop.
Brakes began to grab, a TSB was issued stating the brake shoes needed to be replaced, after this repair the brakes still did not perform correctly and the dealer cannot remedy the problem.
Consumer states that there is excessive wear of front brake rotors and pads. The rotors have been replaced on four occasions and the pads have been replaced on five occasions and the problem is reoccurring. The dealer has been contacted.
The rear braking system is inoperable which reduced the braking ability and caused an accident. Dealer said it came from the factory with that problem, and there is no solution. Cause unknown. Please provide details.
Whenever the brakes are applied there is a loud squealing noise. This happens under any type of braking, no matter what the weather conditions are. The dealer is aware of the problem. The problem has not been corrected. Please describe details.

While traveling at about 40 mph , stepped on brakes and nothing happened, pavement was dry. Dealer contacted, and is not aware of any recalls or pending investigations.
Consumer said when he was driving his truck and started to put on brakes the brakes locked up on him.
When driving forward and backing up consumer applied the brakes, and noticed everytime applying the brakes there is a squeaking noise.
Brakes experience extended stopping distances.
When driving there is a clicking noise coming from the brakes, and when applying the brake's the noise is there and sometimes the noise comes and goes.
While applying for the brakes in normal conditions, the pedal went straight to the floorbaord and the brakes failed to stop the vehicle, causing the consumer to crash into the wall.
In damp or rainy weather the braking system grabs for a couple of times and vehicle skids, which may cause an accident. Dealer said it's characteristic of the vehicle. After 3 years they replaced the rear brake pads free, problem fixed. . Et.
When aplying brakes in normal conditions, the vehicle brakes failed, causing extended stopping distance before vehicle came to a complete stop.
Consumer states that when driving in the rain, the back brakes will lock up. The dealer was contacted and states that this is a common problem. The consumer states that Ford will not agree to repair this problem.
Parked vehicle, went mushroom hunting, returned from woods, vehicle was engulfed in flames.
Brake pedal failure, no advance warning of the problem, failure then to rear resulting in pedal going to floor.
Brakes are not large enough for the vehicle/failed, resulting in collision.
Failed master cylinder replaced, however brake pedal still goes to the floor.

At 25,000 miles brakes failed to stop vehicle. Has been in shop 3 times for same problem which was not resolved. Was informed front end needed to be redesigned. There was no corrective solution for brake failure.
Brakes failed causing consumer to rear end another vehicle, dealer replaced the vacuum booster because the consumer disliked the soft brakes.
