I recently financed a truck and the seller did not disclose that it was a flood damage vehicle. I did auto check and found out there was also recalls on the truck when he sold it to me. That he didn't fix recalls are for the seatbelts n the bolts for the seabelts. The truck also is leaking oil. He also tempered with the engine lights because it's leaking oil but no lights turned on. I want a full refund of every dollar I have given him. He also lied on the odometer .

Purchased vehicle in Nov 2018, less than one year than the date of this claim. On nine different occasions my vehicle experienced one or more of the following: loss of all electrical power, steering, acceleration control, fuel pump/injectors, timing of the rpm, and other related issues leaving me stranded in the middle of nowhere, immediately and instantaneously stalled out on highways and major freeways without warning, some of which nearly led to vehicular accidents from sudden loss of all electronic equipment and power of the truck, with hundreds of individuals having experienced the same or similar issues with this year and model F-150. In the midst of all of this, I've spent over $3,500+ in repairs between the date of purchase to date of this claim to the ecm, fuel pump module, fuel injector harness, battery, ignition switch, mass flow air sensor, camshaft position sensors, serpentine belt, and normal maintenance, and have been informed that I now need a new engine, another $5,000 on top of the present $6,784 lien currently on the vehicle. The physical safety of myself and others has not only been placed in jeopardy, but this issue and vehicle has placed me in a serious, delinquent, and seemingly impossible financial position. I can't even get the car to run now, it will not drive after the engine suddenly stalled out 15 days ago as I lost all ability to accelerate on freeway; engine was overheating and had no oil pressure. Timing chains, rod, main bearing and camshafts all need repair with no guarantee that I won't be placed in the same or similar position again if I were to correct, possible bankruptcy if left uncorrected. Ford wants $400 more for inspection, makes no guarantee all issues will he identified and refuses to make repairs or take responsibility for their faulty 5. 4l v8 triton engine & electrical system that are built Ford tough. please help.

Driving about 80 miles per hour, the engine battery light and overheating light came on, pulled over to find that the pulley by the idler pulley came off with part of the engine block. This should not have happened.

Transmission shift from 5th gear to first going 70 mph on interstate 285 in atlanta, GA. One time stuck in first gear. Would temporarily stop if vehicle was shut off and restarted. Printout from our mechanic describing the issue: " vehicles equipped with a 6r80 transmission built prior to 4/8/2013 may exhibit a transmission engagement in 5th gear when starting. The wrench indicator and/or seat belt minder may be illuminated, the speedometer reads zero and the odometer dashes while driving. Symptoms may clear after an ignition key cycle. Diagnostics trouble codes (dtcs) po720 and po722 may or may not be stored in the powertrain control module. The service procedure is to replace the molded leadframe on the main control assembly. " nalley Ford in sandy springs, GA did this on this vehicle, knew exactly the problem as they had had to do this before. In atlanta, if your vehicle downshifts that dramatically, you could easily be killed or terribly injured with the amount of big rigs flying around the perimeter interstate here in atlanta. I was surprised that there was not a recall on this flaw, and other similar, vehicles. I am grateful that my husband was not a statistic. Would very much like to know what other complaints have been registered regarding this, not to mention the nearly $1,200 price tag. Thank you.

I bought it with @ 10,000 miles on the odometer. I have had nothing but hell with it from day one. First off I put two new front rotors and brake pads all the way around and both idler pulleys were squealing so I replaced them . Then at @ 19,000 miles I had to replace both cvj half shafts . Now at 45,000 miles they are both shot again the cvj half shafts are . On the first of January this year I was driving down the road and the vehicle was running good suddenly it began to cut out and the power fell off on its face. I purchased an obd11 code reader to try and diagnose the problem. It tells me that random misfire detected and that cylinders 5 6 7 8 are misfiring . Let me just say that 4 months later after going thru everything from the plugs wires injectors and replacing the fuel pump module assembly it is still not running and I'm at my end of trying to get the peice of shit running. There is no way in hell at 45,000 miles on the vehicle that I should be having all the hell with the vehicle. I live in new mexico and we do have a lemon law here. I am beyond the shadow of a doubt sure that this truck is a damn lemon.

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle lacked engine power when the vehicle was stationary. An independent mechanic inspected the vehicle and found a p0016 error code, which indicated that the timing belt was loose and needed to be replaced. The contact visited the dealer (medford motors, inc, 105 wisconsin Ave, medford, WI 54451, (715) 748-3700) and the failure was confirmed. The dealer stated that the repair would cost over $3,000 without a recall available. The manufacturer was notified and confirmed what the dealer stated. The failure mileage was 77,000.
Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at high speeds, the vehicle losses power with no warning lights illuminating . The contact also mentioned that the accelerator pedal needed to be pressed down hard to get the vehicle acceleration back up to speed. The vehicle was taken to simmons-rockwell Ford 1160 CO rd 66, hornell, NY 14843 (607) 324-4444 where the contact was informed that the timing belt was stretched and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 68,000. Dr.
Transmission malfunction, will not engage when vehicle is stopped. Seems like it is stuck in 5th gear. Odo reads ------, airbag and seat belt light comes on. Speedometer goes to zero. When I turn engine off and back on, it operates normal for a few miles. Was almost t-boned by semi this morning because the transmission would not engage when I pulled into intersection.
Going around 70mph on route 95, truck suddenly shifts from 6th gear down to 1st on it's own, rear wheels locked up and I skidded nearly off the road. Luckily I had my seat belt on or I would have been thrown into the windshield it was so jolting. Came to a stop, no dash lights or engine indicators came on. Turned the truck off, waited about 5 minutes, turned the truck back on, no check engine light, everything seemed ok, slowly drove the next 2 miles to my office. Checking Ford's website, there appears to be a safety recall for this issue. The molded lead frame is the issue, causing random downshifts.
Timing belt failure on Ford ecoboost v6 engine with only 65000 miles.
Ford f150 XLT 2006 should have a mandatory safety recall for the fuel control module. This is clearly a design defect and a major safety concern. I was driving down vt116 (a hilly, winding 2 lane country highway with no shoulder) in the rain at about 40mph when my truck started to buck and lose power. There was no place to pull over, so I put my hazards on and tried to limp it to a safe place to pull over. The engine stalled and I lost steering and braking power on a curve. I applied the brakes manually and wrestled the steering wheel (which no longer had any power assist). With major difficulty, I was able to bring the truck to a controlled stop. I was then able to restart the engine, limped along at 15mph, bucking and stalling 3 more times before getting to a safe place to pull over. This is the second time I have had my fcm replaced (prior was 1/5/2013) and the second time I almost crashed my truck because of this defect. The previous time was January 2013 on a mountain road in winter on snow. If I was towing my boat on the interstate and lost all power, I would probably have been killed along with anyone around me. Why is it a design defect? because this electronic component is installed in a weather-exposed area above the spare tire and is not corrosion-proof. In any rust belt state (or a place exposed to salt), the case will corrode, exposing the circuit board to water, causing the unit to fail. Why is it a safety concern? because when the fcm fails, the engine will stall, causing a loss of power to the steering and braking systems. Nhtsa should force Ford to do a mandatory recall and redesign this poorly designed part. Even the replacement parts fail after a few years. Considering how many f150's are on the road and how many of them carry or tow heavy loads, I'd say this should be a top priority for both Ford and NHTSA. Recall!.

Truck makes a loud rattling noise upon starting cold in the morning. Noise lasts for 3-5 seconds, than goes away. The electric vacuum pump was recalled and replaced roughly a year and a half ago. I took truck to Ford dealership last fall (2017), and they stated it was the tension belt/pulley loosening. While doing some research online, seems like quite a few Ford truck owners with that ecoboost engine are having same issue all across the country in all different climates. This seems like a safety issue to me, and was hoping Ford would recall and take care of this. Truck seems to make this noise while stationary upon starting first thing in the morning. I contacted Ford corporate, and they recommended filing a claim with you guys.
My 2012 f150 ecoboost 3. 5 studders severely, hesitates, and will not accelerate when trying to pass on the highway. The dealer has bulletins addressing this. I have been told multiple repairs that now are not under warranty including cac cooler deflector, spark plugs, catalytic converter, cam phasers, timing belt, and many others. The truck started this problem and may now require the turbos be replaced. This is a very common problem with this motor and Ford is well aware of the issue. This defect should be covered by Ford.
Already had timing belt replaced at 84,000 miles. Now at 85,600 miles I was on ramp merging onto hwy. When a blinking engine light came on, loss of power, and truck shook like crazy. I felt like it was a poltergeist. Took next exit off and came to a complete stop. Engine light went off and truck acted normally again. Damp conditions. Not liking all the complaints I have read and certainly not liking the sporatic unknown. I think I'll be trading this $50,000 lariat in for something else. Ford needs to react, that was a scary situation on the freeway with trucks bearing down on me.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 65 mph, the gear shifted from six to third gear without warning. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and shut off. The vehicle was restarted, but the contact heard a knocking noise from the engine all the way to his residence. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and the speed control system, camshaft, timing belt, and timing chain were replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 148,000.
TSB 14-0196, TSB 15-0131, TSB 16-0027 - all explain the issue, so yes Ford knows it is a reoccurring issue. Its basically the engine rattling for 2-5 seconds when you starting the vehicle from a cold start. In mechanics terms the primary timing belt has stretched and takes that 2-5 seconds to pick up the slack. This video explains it very well. . Read more...
Since I've owned this vehicle new, I've had a number of problems related to acceleration. Vehicle would almost stall on hard acceleration when getting on the freeway. Dealer replaced spark plugs & boots, but condition was not completely resolved. Vehicle would still on occasion repeat the same problem. More recently when driving yesterday, the engine light started blinking, then became steady. Of greater concerned I got an engine light & poor acceleration. Took the vehicle to the dealer & dealer is telling me that the timing belt needs to be replaced at a cost of $2000+. Vehicle had just turned 61000 miles. Dealer service agent tells me its not uncommon and could be caused by not getting the oil changed at recommended intervals. Vehicle has had regular oil changes at the dealer & other service facilities. Never heard of this & I think it's premature for a vehicle with 61000 miles to need the timing belt replaced. Never had this happen in 45+ years of driving.
The timing chain belt was skipping, it would cause the engine light to come on while driving but then the engine light would go off the next time I'd stay it. This did this for as long as I had it. I mentioned the issue tho the dealer but when in the garage the engine light was no longer on and they would tell me nothing was wrong and no error codes were coming up. I've had this truck only 1 year 7 months and it started stalling out. I brought it to the garage and it was the timing chain.
Drivers side seat belt takes a few tries to get it to click and sometimes it doesn't engage all the way and the latch comes out. A misfire in cylinder 1 lead the discovery of known issues with spark plugs and removal. 3 of the plugs were loose.
The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced stalling without warning. In addition, the seat belt would not latch. The dealer diagnosed that the vehicle's software needed to reflashed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact had the engine replaced after it was diagnosed that there was water in the oil pan and a fuel rod failure. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

Leaving so cal on I-15 in dry conditions cruise control set at 70. While climbing the cahon pass the truck felt like the engine died. The cruise control shut off and the vehicle shook and went into the limp home mode. It was early and traffic was light so I was able to pull to the side of the road. When I came to a stop the ck engine light, a wrench symbol along with the stability control symbol were all illuminated. I shut the truck off, got out and did a vehicle walk around nothing obvious on the outside so I popped the hood checked the fluids, belts etc. And everything looked fine. Got back in the truck started it and all the lights had cleared. Drove the remaining 300 miles home without any further problems. Took it to my local Ford dealer and had it checked, they couldn't find anything wrong Friday 22 Nov 2013 wife and I headed back to so cal it was raining for the first 200 miles then cleared up. I set the cruise at 75 and less than 50 miles later the truck did the same thing, same exact symptoms and dash symbols, I was in the right lane at the time so it wasn't a problem getting in the emergency lane. Stopped the truck shut it down and ran the same checks that I'd done previously, same result symbols cleared and the truck ran fine. 100 miles later it did it again in victorville CA. This time I was in the center lane and almost got rear ended by another vehicle. Worked my way to the right lane and luckily there was and exit. Found a place to stop and shut the engine off, didn't bother to check anything just left it off for about a minute then started it and it ran fine although the engine light remained on. Found a Ford dealer and tried to get them to check it out for me, but they said they couldn't get to it for at least 3 hours. Wife and I decided we would turn around and head for home, no further problems on the trip home.
The vehicle was being driven at 35 mph and simply stopped running. Vehicle could not be re-started. Towed to repair shop. The mechanic tested the fuel system and determined the fuel pump had burned out. The fuel pump was replaced at a cost of $552. 05. One day after repairs were completed the check engine warning light was activated and the code revealed a fuel system issue. The vehicle was immediately taken back to the same repair shop. The fuel pressure was operating at 90 psi. After several unsuccessful visits, it was eventually detemined that the fuel pump control module was severely corroded and malfunctioning. The "pot" metal has been completely corroded and there is an approximate 1 inch diameter hole leading directly to the electic panel. The control module was replaced for an additional $399. 89. The design of this module using "pot" metal and simply bolting to the steel axle is ridiculous. This item should be an immediate recall within the "salt belt" areas of north America. I have documented receipts from the repair shop and have kept the original fuel module as well. Ford motor company should recognize this issue as an obvious re-call item and be held responsible for associated repair bills.
While driving on the highway at approximately 70 mph my 2013 Ford F-150 downshifted from sixth gear to forth causing the truck to quickly decelerat down to 47 mph. Thank god the seatbelt worked and that nobody was behind me. Took it directly to a Ford dealership told them what happened and left it for them to figure out what happened. Ford called and said it was my timing chain and it needed to be replaced at a cost of $3,200 + tax. Doing some research on the problem I've learned that there was a multiple TSB's on the problem yet my Ford dealer where I get my maintained never mentioned it. So my warranty ran out and I am on the hook to the $3,200+ tax when they knew that an engineering problem existed.
While driving at 70 mph the vehicle started to lightly tick then I pulled over to the side of the road and the motor began to loudly knock I took it to my mechanic and he told me this was a common problem that Ford has had with these motors with thousand accounts were this has happened and Ford has neglected to take care of there loyal customers I am a 20 yr old college student and I can barely afford the home I live in right now I bought this truck in the good faith that Ford had honerd the picture they had set for this truck that it was a reliable running vehicle but as I have found out unfourtunently like many others have also it isn't this is caused by either a timing belt gasket failing or multiple spots in the intake manifold failing causing the motor to have coolant leaked into the cylinders and causing the motor from a rod knock to the motor becoming completely hydro locked I am 150 miles from my school on christmas break stuck here because my truck was not what it was supposed to be thank you and I hope that something can be done about this because after reading page after page and website after website of people that are also left stranded just like my self and cannot afford this because of a cheap short cut flaw Ford neglects to own up to we can all handle this like grown ups and finally get the product we all should have in the first place instead of a reoccurring flawed motor thank you joshua nixon.

The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph with the cruise control activated, the cruise control system suddenly stopped functioning with the illumination of the wrench warning icon. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis where it appeared that the power steering bearing failed and the serpentine belt became detached from the vehicle. As a result, the serpentine belt erroneously came into contact with the engine temperature sending unit and fractured the wires from the sensor, struck the clutch fan and was destroyed. The failure caused all of the plugs and wires to be exposed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where the sensor unit, power steering pump, clutch fan and all associated parts were replaced. The manufacturer was notified and lodged a complaint. The failure and current mileage was 57,319.

The truck began to make a crackling sound the check engine light came on, low oil pressure light came on. The truck moved very slow. The truck cut off the truck was towed to the dords company the next day. Was told in the service department I needed (3) sprockets to adjust the timing belt. On Monday I was told I needed a new motor that one was all chimed up. I asked why I explained I changed my oil at the appropriate times the truck is at 80,000 miles.
The contact owns a 2004 Ford f150. While driving 40 mph, the contact stated that the vehicle began to shake excessively and he was unable to continue to drive. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the vehicle was inspected. The dealer informed the contact that the timing belt tension was fractured and that he needed to replace the engine. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was aware of the failure. The current and failure mileages were 114,000.
Problem was instant while driving north on rt. 18. Ford f150 v8 started missing, smelling of gas, making loud noise which appeared to be every time the belt went around, unable to accelerate, had to keep one foot on gas and one foot on brake at red light. Problem was that the spark plug overheated and ejected. Safety issue with fuel vapors coming out of spark plug hole and could ignite from loose spark plug. Ford denies this is a problem and claim there has only been three reported cases when I had the dealer call them. After talking about it at work, I found another employee that had the same problem. So there are two cases right there that they didn't even know about. How many cases do they really know about or deny knowing about?.
I was involved in a low speed frontal collision with my 2009 Ford f150 pick up. The collision was off center left with another Ford f150 (1993-1994 model). The speed of the vehicles was less than 40 mph as the collision happened on a hilly and twisting road. My vehicle caught fire on impact and was completely engulfed in just over a minute. My drivers door would not open and I had to exit the vehicle on the passenger side. My wife and I were not injured as the air bags and seat belts worked properly. We never made contact with the air bags and sustained no seat belt bruising or other injuries.
I have a F-150 XLT triton Ford truck. I have had numerous issues from : seatbelts not working, engine light, solenoid, 4wd linkage, shaking and brakes not working, to not engaging into park or drive. . . I am so frustrated and Ford won't do anything.
I was driving to pick up lunch one day from work and when I pulled out into traffic to head back I heard a loud pop followed by a loss of power and a sound that made me think the serpentine belt broke. The plug shot out of the head and broke a coil pack in half. I talked to the Ford dealer that I get my parts at, and he told me it happens alot on 4. 6 liters, 5. 4 liters, and v-10 Ford trucks so much that they stay well stocked on the parts that I needed to fix what Ford doesn't consider to be a problem, the fix is a well greased, extra long 14 mm tap and helicoil, red locktite, spark plug, coil pack, and any other bits and pieces the plug destoys on its way out, from the reports I'm reading I got lucky thtat it was just my coil that took the brunt of it, I've talked to some people around the area and they see any where from 2 to 4 per week, and on top of that there was two people at my work that have had the same problem. We only have 18 employees. One was in a 5. 4 and the other was a v10. The dealer told me there was no recall on the problem and that Ford doesn't recognize it. The part will be repared and will not be avalible and just cost me more of my time and money doing stupid repares that are questionable at best.
