8 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2017 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 12/09/2022

Good morning, my bluetooth/radio/sirius/navigation screen has been cutting out after I make a hands free call. The gps shows not working and the radio will not work and the phone will not work. I check online for the issue and numerous people on a variety of cars have said their apim modules were shown to be faulty. This is an expensive part to replace, and I have tried the "quick fix" of disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes then reconnecting and it works fine for awhile then begins intermittently cutting off again. It is a safety issue if I should need to make an emergency call and the gps not working could be a safety issue as well. Is this something that NHTSA is looking at? are there any "unofficial" recalls on these apim modules? please let me know. Thank you!.

13 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2014 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 04/15/2017

The Ford sync 2 with gps that's tied into their 911 accident reporting system. Reports my vehicle location in lakes and on non existent roads when on major roads and freeways. I have video and still shots. As a ret firefighter, I can say that people could die if we can't find them in time. Ford knows this and that's a violation of the tread act. There are many class action suits going on now about this defective system which Ford has now completely abandoned. My truck was under Fords manufactures bumper to bumper warranty and the dealers can't fix them without these new sd cards. Ford sold this truck with the defective sd card and I have a letter from them saying that Ford wants to sell me a new sd card for 175. 00 for a fix while claiming that it's from a third party yet they are still profiting for the replacements. Ford knows that thousands of Ford and Lincoln car and truck owners are having many problems with the sync 2 system and they are ignoring our complaints. My gps and the voice commands have become unstable. And the system is completely unusable. And that's an accident waiting to happen when families can't get help in the event of a serious crash. Ford used to supply these sd cards when doing master resets found on their web site but now they don't seem to care as according to one Ford dealer they stopped paying for this warranty work because this fix cost too much.

14 Navigational (global Positioning System) Gps problem of the 2016 Ford F-150

Failure Date: 12/02/2016

Navigation system. Ford has not made available an updated navigation map for the 2016-2018 f150, expedition and probably other vehicles including Lincoln that I am not aware of. The dealers seem to be in the dark about this subject and no word from Ford either. I have had to quit using my nav system for fear that it will direct me to a street that has been removed due to new construction or through an unsafe part of town when newer safer options are available. There are times when I would look at my nav screen and it looked like I was driving in the middle of a field with no roads around me. It's an unsettling feeling when driving thru a strange town at night. This issue is all over the Ford forums and I think many of us would like to see this issue resolved before someone gets ;out and hurt or worse. This happens when driving and it happens anywhere there has been new construction or demolition. It happens everyday at all speeds, it has been an issue since the day the truck went into service 5/30/16. It was delivered with an out dated nav map. You see this on the news from time to time where the nav/gps sends someone the wrong direction and something bad happens to them. Any help would be appreciated. I am sure there are thousands, or 10's of thousands of vehicles with this same problem.
