I started my truck this morning and turned on the heat and defrost. Came inside to gather my things for work and when I returned back there was a strong burning smell both inside and outside. I placed my work items in the back seat, closed the door. I heard something falling and found the back windshiled windshield had exploded.

After a crash into a tree on the passenger side the airbags deployed and the truck immediately caught fire and the doors locked and would not open for any reason. The only way I was able to exit was busting through the front windshield. Had I been severely injured or knocked unconscious the outcome of this would have been much different. The truck burned to the ground in 11 minutes. It has been inspected by the police and awaiting insurance representative to inspect. There were no warning no recalls regarding a crash that would lock the doors and not allow me to exit.

The digital dash cluster will randomly blank out while driving. After it sits for aboutba few hrs parked, it will turn back on just to repeat it down the road again. I tried bring it up with the dealership a few times and I was told they aren't able to replicate the issue and it's within factory spec. This is extremely dangerous since this creates issues of not knowing how fast the vehicle is going, and no indicators of what the truck is doing.

I got a code p0722-00 it says something about a sensor and a molded lead frame in the transmission this is affecting how the truck shifts gears and the amount of gas it consumes and in some cases it says that it can go from speed 6 to 1 currently not using it until its fix but I am reporting it just incase a recall were to happen later on.
Subject: safety complaint – premature frame failure on 2018 Ford F-150 raptor (VIN: [xxx] ) to whom it may concern, I am submitting a formal safety complaint regarding my 2018 Ford F-150 raptor, VIN: [xxx] , with approximately 99,700 miles. My vehicle has been diagnosed by a Ford-authorized service department with severe frame corrosion and structural deterioration, including extensive rust and compromised integrity. In addition, I have obtained an independent evaluation from a private body shop, which also confirmed that the corrosion is premature and structurally significant. I have been advised that the vehicle is unsafe to operate, and the estimated repair cost is approximately $30,000, effectively rendering the vehicle unusable. This condition appears to be premature and not consistent with normal wear and tear, particularly given that the vehicle has been properly maintained and used under normal driving conditions. The failure of a vehicle’s frame represents a serious safety hazard, as it directly affects crashworthiness, structural stability, and safe operation. A failure at this level could lead to loss of control or catastrophic injury. I contacted Ford motor company to request assistance, but they declined to provide any support or remedy. Given the severity of this issue, I respectfully request that the NHTSA: •investigate potential frame corrosion or structural defects in this vehicle model •determine whether similar complaints have been reported •evaluate whether this issue warrants a recall or manufacturer action I am prepared to provide supporting documentation, including inspection reports from both the Ford dealership and independent body shop, repair estimates, and photographs of the damage. Thank you for your attention to this matter and your commitment to public safety. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Got home drone a short drive and my friend told me my truck was on fire. It happened so fast that I could not put it out.

The drivers side door latch froze and stopped working, the door wouldn’t close and the lock would glitch when trying to lock or unlock it, once the door did close it reopened while driving, so it never really closed all the way, and it started working just fine once the weather warmed up. There are recalls on this issue but not for my vehicle specifically.
On three occasions when I have started the truck, there is a deafening sound from the speaker system that sounds like a pop with glass shattering. Then it had a loud static sound that can't be silenced and the volume button does nothing. After turning the truck off for 5-10 minutes the problem resolves, though it does continue for several minutes after turning the truck off.
Rear glass window completely shattered for no apparent reason while sitting in parking lot parking car. Recent snow and outdoor temps about 26 degrees. Had driven the car a quarter mile with rear defroster on.

Have had the truck for 11 months (since new) I have never had the issue. The display (for radio, navigation etc. ) just started switching to a different screen. I was using the navigation and the screen switched to display radio information without being touched. When I switched to google maps from car play. The map just froze up and would not unfreeze until I turned off the truck and restarted. Had I been going somewhere and was depending on the navigation system. I could have been in a situation that could have caused an accident. Ford engineers are saying this is normal!.
I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the unresolved rear axle recall on my Ford f150. Although a temporary repair was performed last year, I remain deeply worried about the safety of my vehicle and, more importantly, the safety of my family. I have contacted my local Ford dealership multiple times to address this recall, but each time I am informed that there are no parts available for the necessary repairs. Given that this recall has been outstanding for some time, I am troubled by the apparent lack of urgency from Ford to resolve this critical safety issue. To add to my concern, the axle bolt has already broken once, which poses a significant risk while driving. I urge the NHTSA to intervene and provide assistance in expediting the resolution of this recall. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate any help you can provide. Sincerely, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
While I was driving, my instrument panel went dark, as if it were turned off. I could no longer see my odometer. Turning the car off and on did not resolve the issue. After the car was off for a half hour or so, the problem was no longer happening. Problem occurred on March 10, 2026. Only happened once so far. Will be taking to dealer for analysis.
While sitting at school drop off in the morning the passenger side of my rear 3 piece power sliding window spontaneously shattered while my 2 year old daughter was sitting under it. I examined the outside of the window and there were no impacts. The rear window defroster was turned on at the time. No lights or fuses blew. Searching online this is a known problem and Ford has discontinued the window so I am stuck without a rear window currently. I’ve tried 2 separate glass companies and talked with the Ford dealer I purchased it from.

Purchased a 2010 Ford F-150 that was fraudulently advertised and sold as a 2014 Ford F-150 with 68,000 miles. The odometer displayed approximately 66,000 miles at time of purchase. An independent mechanic at dtx automotives confirmed the vehicle actually has approximately 210,000 real miles. The seller presented a carfax report belonging to a completely different vehicle to conceal the true mileage and year. The vehicle is available for inspection. The odometer discrepancy was confirmed by the mechanic via diagnostic scan. A police report was filed with xxx, case no. Xxx. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
When parking the vehicle at auto zone, at a very slow speed, the vehicle suddenly accelerated. Without the accelerator being pressed, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. Notes: vehicle has one-pedal always activated. It is a new vehicle. Only has 3k miles. I was taken once to the shop for maintenance. Malfunction components: maybe speed related components and safety features. The airbag did not deploy and non of all the safety features the vehicle has did not activated. The safety risk was extremely serious. The vehicle went over the concrete parking stopper, tore it off, and then crashed into a concrete column at autozone. If anyone had been walking in front of the vehicle, the outcome could have been catastrophic. Despite the impact, the airbags did not deploy and none of the vehicle’s safety systems activated. After the incident, I went to the er due to pain in both hands, shoulder pain, back pain, and pain in my feet. I was evaluated for these injuries as a precaution. A police incident was done. We have a number. Because it was on private. Property there is not a report, but they gave us a police incident number. No warnings, symptoms prior to the incident. It was a dry day, not rain. The incident occurred last Saturday. We tried calling the Ford dealer to have the car towed, but we were unable to reach them. Because of safety concerns, we contacted a towing company and had the vehicle towed to our home instead. We plan to call Ford today, but wanted to report the incident first.
Preliminary don’t want it to happen to my truck.

Going down the road the dash quite showing what gear I was in and then the truck downshifted to first or second gear while I was traveling 45 mph. Light then went off and could see gears again. Came back on within a mile. I limpt the truck home where it is parked until I can get it into the shop to be repaired. Codes were p070600-26, p07000-26, p170200-2e, p070600-27, p070700-27, p170200-af. Codes will just go away if the wrench dash light goes off and truck will drive normal. Wrench randomly comes on and downshift will happen before I am able to slow down.
I have only had my 2022 Ford f150 XLT for about 2 months and the ac is not working. It is blowing hot. I took it to dealership and paid $220 for a diagnostic and they said it is the evaporator core. Dealership I bought it from says it passed inspection test but I'm not sure how and 1 month after I bought it it's not working. Very disappointing being I've only had the truck a little over a month. And even more disappointing everywhere I look online everyone is having this same issue and Ford has not issued a recall.
The rear window made a loud popping noise. It buckled and cracked. The window appeared to be sliding down. A lot of the edge pieces where the seal is broke off. Within an hour a large hole appeared as if it was hit by something. The Ford dealership in milford, CT told us to call our insurance company and get it fixed by safelight. We talked to our insurance company by phone. No one inspected it. No warnings or other problems.
Backup camera will just show a blue screen for a day or two, then it will work for awhile, and then it will go back to the blue screen. I’ve also had the whole system go out, including the radio, and after I turn the truck off for awhile and turn it back on, then the system starts working again.
My front windshield is leaking from the top of the window. I can see little trails of dried drips on the inside of my windshield. I feel it could possibly be a safety issue of being loose. It has not been confirmed by a dealer, service center, police, insurance company, or anyone yet. Just found it about a month ago. Trying to see if a recall before I contact a glass company to repair.

Driver window was recalibrated a couple of months ago and now it’s back to rolling down half way automatically. I had to kinda manually roll the window up.
I was driving in town, less than 35mph, slowing down to stop at a traffic signal, when my engine stopped and a message came up on my dashboard that said something to the effect of "auto stop start, place transmission in park and restart engine". I did so and it cranked and ran fine. Hasn't happened again.
I was driving to work at 5am on Friday, and my back window blew out for no reason. Sounded like a gun shot. Knocked me right off the road. Noone was near me and nothing hit it. The power window box looks burnt, but when I took it to the dealer, they said no without even going out to look at it, but from looking at all of the complaints there have been multiple complaints with this. Please help me with this situation, I have the premium package warranty, but it doesn't cover it. I paid over 4,000 dollars for the premium package, thank you [xxx] [xxx] 6105132864 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Driving at normal rate of speed around a right hand turn. Truck spontaneously downshifted in the turn causing tires to spin. Back end of truck slid sideways as the road was wet at the time. Luckily there was a gap between oncoming traffic or there would have been an accident. After regaining control of the vehicle, a wrench icon appears on the dashboard, then the airbag icon lights up. My speedometer/ odometer/ fuel economy gauges are not working. I pulled off the road for safety. Change plans to turn around and go back home versus continue on my 45 minute drive to my appointment. This happened only 3 miles from my home. My truck had little power on acceleration when going back home. After hours of searching online it appears it could be the molded leadframe. It also appears there was a consumer program from Ford to fix this issue, however, I was told by Ford that they do not notify customers that are affected by this and that the program has expired. This is definitely a safety issue. Thankfully it was me driving and not my [xxx] [xxx] daughter with her drivers permit! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
This vehicle is currently in the shop and the tech is saying we may have to have a transmission replacement. The tech also stated that Ford knows there is a issues with these transmissions and they have not corrected it or made any improvements. Also, Ford will not issue a recall. The vehicle has a very hard shift and is dangerous to drive and it also completely shut down on us, putting our life in danger. We do all the proper maintenance and upkeep on the vehicle at a Ford dealership. This issue is very disappointing as these are "american made" vehicles.

The moonroof on our F-150 exploded going down the interstate. Nothing was hit and it sounded like a gunshot. The headliner remains intact with no damage and glass blew out at an upward angle. We submitted to Ford for a warranty claim but they denied it. Based on my research this is a known problem from Ford and they are not addressing it.
I heard noise coming from my truck, sounded like it was in my wheel. Feb. 4, 2026 I took it to a repair shop. They told me it was the recall on my truck and gave the nut and bolt that had broken off my truck. I called stanley Ford where I bought the truck to get the recall fixed. They told me they had the part and would get it out the next day (Friday) because I was leaving that Sunday on a work trip. They called me on Friday and said the part they had was for another vehicle and it would be 3-4 mths before they would have the part and I couldn't drive the truck. The software was not updating (even with a battery change) and I asked them to reset since we changed the battery. They told me it would $400 plus to fix that. They have not offered a vehicle for me to drive and neither has Ford. Ford was called and everything was explained to them. I am without a vehicle, with no real estimated time on when I will get my truck back and nothing has been done. No loaner, no paying for my truck since I do not have it. I have been without a vehicle for a month and 1/2. I work a full time job. I have a statement from repair shop and pic, but it won't let me upload.
My truck randomly downshifts and abruptly slows vehicle when driving.
My 10r80 transmission shifts very hard then goes into limp mode when im driving in 4th gear scared its gonna cause me to get in a wreck and injury myself or other drivers this has been an issue with all these transmission and this should be a recall where customers shouldn’t have to pay to get this fixed Ford should get this fixed ASAP.
Back up camera safety, parking lot's and trailer hook up florida weather 40 50 degrees it works, warmer 60 90 and it's blue screen showed tech at Ford dealer cold morning it works, months before then they said replace camera. What changes in cold weather? wont stay cold in florida backup sensors still work, would be nice having it work.
While driving at a 40+ mph speed the truck suddenly downshift to 1st gear and all gauges stop working. 3rd will downshift to 1st and 5th to 3rd.
