My 2022 Ford f150 b&o unleashed sound system 18spk explodes from time to time with a deafening noise (pop, then static) that makes you jump. Turning off the radio does not stop the deafening noise. In the past, at times, I was able to stop the deafening noise by switching from satellite to am radio. This last time, nothing I tried stopped the deafening noise and I could not pull off the road to turn off the truck for 10 minutes. My ears were still hurting the next day. During the 10 minutes I had to wind down the windows which did not help much. The speakers were getting hot to the touch, especially the little tweeter speaker, with a plastic burning smell. Each subsequent time I turned the truck back on (after waiting about a half minute) the deafening noise started again. Then I waited 10-15 minutes before starting the truck and the noise stopped. My truck is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others are put at risk because you jump when the problem occurs and are distracted when endeavoring to stop the problem. The Ford dealership cannot diagnose the problem unless the deafening noise appears at the time of service. The sound system has not been inspected by the manufacturer. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the start of the deafening noise (pop, then static).

My 2014 Ford f150 truck went into “limp mode” last week. A wrench showed up on my dashboard, my speedometer didn’t function, and it sounded like the transmission was “winding up” if I tried to accelerate. After hitting “ok” to remove the wrench and restarting the truck a couple of times, my check engine light illuminated. I was driving at about 40 mph when this occurred and it was a scary moment. Luckily I was able to keep my truck under control and drove very slowly back home considering I was less than 4 miles from my home. The truck went into a Ford dealership in 2024 for the “transmission recall” in which the only thing I noticed different was that I couldn’t see the digital shifting of the transmission on the screen anymore and they “killed” my battery. I still had issues every so often with power loss or the transmission shifting down abruptly, but it wouldn’t throw a code. Last week it threw a code. P0720 to be exact, the reason for the transmission recall in the first place. There was no fix done with the recall and it made it so that I had to watch my rpm’s to track my transmission shifting. This is extremely concerning especially since I was having the issues prior to a computer reprogram and it wasn’t addressed. I have also seen that there’s yet another Ford transmission recall that could affect my truck considering it was assembled in June 2014 and fits the transmission 6r80 that needs fixed. Could someone please help? thank you.

While driving on a surface road in columbia, MD at approximately 40 mph, the dash display of the 2024 Ford lightning flash went completely blank, leaving no indication of vehicle speed, battery percentage, battery temp, motor temp, cruise control status etc. Zero information was displayed, and the dash was completely cold and dark. This failure, while traveling at speed, represents a gross safety hazard, especially because the same lcd displays automatic emergency braking informaion etc. Immediately, I was able to pull over, and establish an obd-2 connection to the ecm, and pull error logs. I also took screenshots of critical components and voltages. I cleared the codes, re-checked for codes and saved another error log showing a couple of codes. I then cycled power to the truck several times, hoping for a reboot to clear the error. I also performed a manual reset of the Ford sync system. Using the obd-2 virtual dash on my reader, I was able to safely display speed and battery data, and drive immediately to the nearest Ford dealer (koons Ford). On the way, I phoned crossroads Ford (apex, nc) who did a remote error check using the vehicle's modem. The dealer may have saved this data. Upon arrival to koons, service writers and technicians were able to witness and verify inoperability of the dash unit, and cycle the vehicle power, whereafter the problem persisted. They then took it back for service and evaluation. After approximately 4 hours, I was told that the "dash reset itself after a couple hours" and they could not get it to repeat the error after it came back. Before this, there were no warning signs of dash failure, nor since.

My 2013 Ford F-150 5. 0 pulled any evil on me. On 4-23-2026 driving home from work at approximately 3:55 pm with speed of approximately 40 to 45 mph a very hard hit of something as if I had been struck from the rear and immediately at the same time both of the rear wheels locked up and where skidding on the roadway. This lasted for maybe just under 30 seconds. Fortunately, no one was behind me. The truck did make that hard bump sound again but nothing else occurred. With less than 3 miles from home I was able to drive slowly and get home. I am afraid to drive it anywhere now!.

Transmission upshifts randomly when driving into 1st or 2nd gear. A wrench icon comes on the dash indicating there is an issue that made it go into " limp mode". When using a diagnostic tool it throws a p0720 code for the output shaft speed sensor. Was checking to see if there has been any recall on these models too for the same issue?.
Moon roof exploded from inside to out side in center.

Complaint description: unintended transmission downshift vehicle: 2014 Ford F-150 issue: intermittent transmission malfunction / severe unintended downshifting detailed symptoms: sudden downshifting: while traveling at cruising speeds (typically in 4th or 5th gear), the vehicle occasionally performs an uncommanded downshift directly into 1st gear without driver input. Start-up stalling: the vehicle intermittently becomes "stuck" in 1st gear upon acceleration from a stop, refusing to upshift into higher gears. Lack of warning: these events occur with zero warning signs. No "check engine" light, "wrench" icon, or transmission temperature warnings appear on the dashboard before, during, or after the incident. Recall history: the vehicle previously received the official Ford recall repair for the lead frame/output speed sensor issue, yet the life-threatening symptoms have persisted or returned. Diagnostic history: the vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Ford dealership on two separate occasions. The technicians reported that they were "unable to duplicate the failure" and found no stored error codes, leaving the safety defect unresolved. Safety concern: I am filing this complaint because the sudden shift to 1st gear at high speeds causes a violent deceleration (similar to slamming on the brakes), which risks a loss of vehicle control or a high-speed rear-end collision. I have raised this issue to Ford customer relation department as well. Case# cxh07719550, date: 04/20/2026.
It was Tuesday 04/14 I had just left a store. Drove to the corner stop sign and applied the breaks which have always been just fine, easy to stop and slow. Until thst day I eased on the breaks and all of a sudden the peddle went to the floor. I came home and called my mechanic shop. They told me to bring it in. When I did they told me the master cylinder had gone out and was leaking all into the booster. They felt it was unsafe for me to drive it. They gave me a loaner vehicle. Upon returning to my home that's when I saw all the break fluid running down my driveway where I had parked when I got home from the store the day prior. Which I hadn't noticed before. So, now I'm without my vehicle because I simply can't afford a $900 repair bill. I've looked it up and on your website it shows in 2025 there was a recall on the 2014 Ford F-150 that named the master cylinder as a problem. It also stated that on google. Please help.

Panoramic sunroof spontaneously combusted while driving. No previous damage observed.
While driving 75mph with cruise control set the transmission downshifted to 3rd gear. I put it in manual to shift the gear back up to 6th gear. This is the 3rd time it has happened in 6 months the first and second time was while driving in mississippi on I-10 east and westbound in the same trip. The last time was Sunday April 5th 2026 at approximately 1145 am cst while traveling on i65 south in alabama. No lights came on the dashboard when it happened.

I have repeatedly received an error on my vehicle dashboard stating " 1 pedal drive fault: press break pedal to reduce speed". I have taken my vehicle to the dealer twice for this and was told both times that it was not reproducible and therefore nothing that could be fixed. I was told there was an active recall and that it has been repaired. Today after coming to a complete stop I let go of the break and the vehicle suddenly forcefully lurched forward without me stepping on the accelerator almost resulting in an accident. After looking up the information online it seems other drivers have experienced this too and I was never warned about this by the dealer or its potential safety implications. I feel unsafe. I have a video but was unable to upload to due its size.
Back up camera intermittently does not work. When it does work it intermittently flips the photo. Objects that are on the right side appear on the left side.
Vehicle began randomly downshifting while driving causing the wheels to lock up. Would have to pull over and shut the vehicle off. Showed engine code for lead frame which I had replaced but Ford does not want to reimburse me because they have not released an official remedy for the recall.
Exhaust manifold bolt broke cause extra heat coming from that broken bolt cause the crank shaft position sensor wires to melt cause the vehicle to stall while driving down the road and it not to restart just cranks and throws the code for crank shaft position sensor.
I started my truck this morning and turned on the heat and defrost. Came inside to gather my things for work and when I returned back there was a strong burning smell both inside and outside. I placed my work items in the back seat, closed the door. I heard something falling and found the back windshiled windshield had exploded.
Ford does not have a solution to my vehicle being fixed for a safety recall.
Rear backup camera failed and is just showing a blue screen or black screen with squiggly lines.

After a crash into a tree on the passenger side the airbags deployed and the truck immediately caught fire and the doors locked and would not open for any reason. The only way I was able to exit was busting through the front windshield. Had I been severely injured or knocked unconscious the outcome of this would have been much different. The truck burned to the ground in 11 minutes. It has been inspected by the police and awaiting insurance representative to inspect. There were no warning no recalls regarding a crash that would lock the doors and not allow me to exit.

The digital dash cluster will randomly blank out while driving. After it sits for aboutba few hrs parked, it will turn back on just to repeat it down the road again. I tried bring it up with the dealership a few times and I was told they aren't able to replicate the issue and it's within factory spec. This is extremely dangerous since this creates issues of not knowing how fast the vehicle is going, and no indicators of what the truck is doing.
My truck is a 2025 Ford f150 stx with 5,900 miles on it. This truck was purchased new at river city Ford in lavalette, wv the component in questions seems to be involved with the turbos and more specifically the wastegate that attached to the turbos. Also, yes, it would be available for inspection. I am unsure if it is a true safety concern as Ford says it is not and it is normal operation. However, with it making the rattling sound that it does I would believe that it could cause damage or that it's not normal operation. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by the dealer on 2 visits now but Ford refuses to do any type of repair as they say this is normal. It has only been inspected by Ford technicians the problem appeared over a month ago and is still happening every time I drive the vehicle.
I own a 2024 Ford F-150 lightning platinum built in August 2024. The vehicle has been at the dealership for over 45 days for severe, unresolved electrical safety defects. I have attached photographic proof of the main defects. The first three photos show the driver's instrument display screen behind the steering wheel completely blacking out on startup, blinding critical safety gauges like the speedometer. The center screen stays on, but the main cluster is totally dead. Fourth and fifth photos show the driver's seat memory failure. I manually set my lumbar support to a comfortable 3-4-3 setting and save it, but every time the truck sits, the seat completely deflates to a flat zero default on startup. This causes an immediate driving distraction and ergonomic hazard. The factory navigation also randomly shouts driving directions out of nowhere without any driver input. The dealership is currently trying to install a temporary "bypass wire" hack on my factory harness just to see if it fixes the seat memory. However, Ford's internal hotline (sssc) refuses to authorize repairs for the black screen or phantom navigation until a tech physically catches it glitching on command. Ford’s policy is to return the vehicle unrepaired if it does not fail during active observation. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate Ford's active evasion of safety recall 25v540 (Ford 25s88). The official recall paperwork states the defective supplier software entered production on may 14, 2024. My truck was manufactured in August 2024—squarely within the defective window—yet Ford is using a model-year loophole to exclude 2024 vehicles from the recall population. They are denying owners a permanent factory software remedy and forcing dealers to use unapproved, temporary physical workarounds. The vehicle is at the dealership and available for federal inspection if need be.
I was on the freeway in eastern colorado going 75mph which is the speed limit. Luckily nobody was behind me. My truck went from 6th gear to 1st out of nowhere and I didn't know what to do, very fast deceleration and I almost lost control. I was able to manually shift with the buttons on the gear shifter back up to 6th gear. Recently on the freeway it's been acting awkward and not shifting out of 4th gear.
I got a code p0722-00 it says something about a sensor and a molded lead frame in the transmission this is affecting how the truck shifts gears and the amount of gas it consumes and in some cases it says that it can go from speed 6 to 1 currently not using it until its fix but I am reporting it just incase a recall were to happen later on.
Subject: safety complaint – premature frame failure on 2018 Ford F-150 raptor (VIN: [xxx] ) to whom it may concern, I am submitting a formal safety complaint regarding my 2018 Ford F-150 raptor, VIN: [xxx] , with approximately 99,700 miles. My vehicle has been diagnosed by a Ford-authorized service department with severe frame corrosion and structural deterioration, including extensive rust and compromised integrity. In addition, I have obtained an independent evaluation from a private body shop, which also confirmed that the corrosion is premature and structurally significant. I have been advised that the vehicle is unsafe to operate, and the estimated repair cost is approximately $30,000, effectively rendering the vehicle unusable. This condition appears to be premature and not consistent with normal wear and tear, particularly given that the vehicle has been properly maintained and used under normal driving conditions. The failure of a vehicle’s frame represents a serious safety hazard, as it directly affects crashworthiness, structural stability, and safe operation. A failure at this level could lead to loss of control or catastrophic injury. I contacted Ford motor company to request assistance, but they declined to provide any support or remedy. Given the severity of this issue, I respectfully request that the NHTSA: •investigate potential frame corrosion or structural defects in this vehicle model •determine whether similar complaints have been reported •evaluate whether this issue warrants a recall or manufacturer action I am prepared to provide supporting documentation, including inspection reports from both the Ford dealership and independent body shop, repair estimates, and photographs of the damage. Thank you for your attention to this matter and your commitment to public safety. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
Got home drone a short drive and my friend told me my truck was on fire. It happened so fast that I could not put it out.
The drivers side door latch froze and stopped working, the door wouldn’t close and the lock would glitch when trying to lock or unlock it, once the door did close it reopened while driving, so it never really closed all the way, and it started working just fine once the weather warmed up. There are recalls on this issue but not for my vehicle specifically.
On three occasions when I have started the truck, there is a deafening sound from the speaker system that sounds like a pop with glass shattering. Then it had a loud static sound that can't be silenced and the volume button does nothing. After turning the truck off for 5-10 minutes the problem resolves, though it does continue for several minutes after turning the truck off.
The truck had been parked in our driveway for approximately 24 hrs when my wife went to the drivers side door to retrieve something that she had left in the center console. After she retrieved what she was looking for she pushed the door closed and the rear window spontaneously and completely shattered. There had been no prior damage whatsoever. The vehicle was towed to our Ford dealership on March 17th. The service manager at our dealership submitted our warranty claim to Ford and then informed us ~36 hrs later that Ford had not issued any tsbs or ssms for the 2024 rear window or related parts / functions and therefore would decline to repair the rear window. We have asked them to resubmit the claim because we were not satisfied with Ford declining it. It is now April 2nd and we still have not heard back.
Rear glass window completely shattered for no apparent reason while sitting in parking lot parking car. Recent snow and outdoor temps about 26 degrees. Had driven the car a quarter mile with rear defroster on.

Have had the truck for 11 months (since new) I have never had the issue. The display (for radio, navigation etc. ) just started switching to a different screen. I was using the navigation and the screen switched to display radio information without being touched. When I switched to google maps from car play. The map just froze up and would not unfreeze until I turned off the truck and restarted. Had I been going somewhere and was depending on the navigation system. I could have been in a situation that could have caused an accident. Ford engineers are saying this is normal!.
