1 Tire Bubble problem of the 2003 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 10/11/2014

On 10/11/14 we were traveling from our home in havelock, nc to the charlotte area. With about 20 minutes into the trip we felt a violent vibration and then the rear passenger tire blew! miraculously, my husband was able to pull his Ford F-250 pickup to the side of the road and thankfully no one was hurt! the tire was flat with much of the tread separated from the tire. Also, significant damage was caused to the wheel well of the truck because of the blowout. After having allstate motor club come and assist us, and replace the blowout, we were on our road again. Three days later on October 14th we were headed back to havelock when once again the truck began to shake violently. My husband made it to my brother-in-laws driveway, got out and noticed the front passengers tire had a major bubble in it. We almost had a second tire blowout! now we were thinking there must be something wrong with these tires since two of them failed within 3 days. The tires on our truck are bf goodrich mud terrain t/a km2 lt285/75r16 dot # bfyucf213810. These tires on our pickup have plenty of tread left on them and should not have failed! I have been in contact with michelin (the parent company of bf goodrich). They told me to go to my local family tire to have them inspect our tires and then have them contact michelin on their findings. They also said I would need the blown out tire, which I no longer have, to receive any compensation for that. I believe I am in for a "run around" from michelin before I receive (if I do receive) any kind of compensation. I've seen online too where several similar tires from bf goodrich have been recalled due to tread separation. I do believe the tires mentioned above are unsafe and could cause loss of life! I also believe michelin is putting the almighty dollar before human safety! I previously filed this complaint under Ford manufacturer by mistake. This is a tire issue. After several times calling michelin, they are willing to do nothing to help.

Federal 35x12. 50r20 couragia m/t tires, bought a set of 4 tires at tire 59, in houston texas, and 2 of the 4 tires within a month grew bubbles and were going to blow, on 2 different instances. I can understand maybe one of the tire possibly having a problem but 2 of them which were purchased at the same time and place, there has to be a defect.

My dick cepec fc ii tires had the tread seperate from the steel belts. Three developed air bubbles in the tread area, but one slung the tread off causing damage to my truck. I was told by dick cepec that the numbers didn't match the recalled tires so they would not be responsible for the tires or any damage.

5 Tire Bubble problem of the 2003 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 09/01/2010

I bought four yokohama tires lt285/75r16/d Geo hts from americas tire store in riverside,CA ,,, in 2006 it was rim & tire package. Never had any issues with the tires until they past 30,000 miles ( there 60,000 mile tires) 8/21/2010 left my house to go pick up my daughter in orange county about half mile from getting on freeway I felt a thumping in the driver side steering tire, when I noticed a separation of the tread from cord in the form of a bubble. (lucky I did not get on the freeway) . Drove to americas tire store directly from there,, were they confirmed that the tread had separated, and replaced the tire very nice customer service. . 9/1/2010 was going to lax to pick up my other daughter I was on the 91 freeway going the speed limit when driver side rear tire lost all tread loosing no air pressure throwing the truck to the shoulder of the frwy. Lucky I had control of the steering wheel managed to get off the frwy in one piece but the damage to the bed of the truck is over $3,000. Now yokohama says that some how this is my fault,, I fail to understand as a consumer how this is my fault when I rely on professionals that work in this field to look out for me and others that just want safe tires to run on. I have the other two tires that are showing the same cracking that the other two tires that failed showed and will some how get them tested to determine whether this is defect or not.

6 Tire Bubble problem of the 1999 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 06/23/2002

After the firestone problem, I needed new tires ~40k. I went to goodyear, they didn't have an "e" range tire in this size so they put "d" load rnage tires on. After 5000 miles, first rotation, there were bubbles on all four tires. They replaced them under warranty. At that time they start to offer "e" so I switched to "e" range. After 5000 miles they started to develop a vibration, like an out of balance problem. I didn't have time to take them in before the next rotation was due. The right rear tire blew out while pulling my boat down the interstate in new york. I lost control when it got down on the rim and the boat jackknifed. It spun out of control into the median. Police were called. Vehicle was driveable. I changed tire and drove home. No punctures were noted after inspection by tire dealer and insurance investigator. . Switched back to firestone steeltex. Awaiting goodyears response. Other problems noted as having occurred immediately prior, unknown if causal, for completeness only.

I had a flat so I had all tires changed and tecnician found a large bubble on the inside of left front tire which caused sidewall to be very weak. Firestone refused to honor warranty stating it was caused by road hazard. Not true. Tire defect. Would have caused major crash if left on front and failed at highway speed. Mr.
