1 Tire Bead problem of the 2011 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 08/29/2025

The tires were installed on 8. 22. 2025 and on the following Thursday, August 28, 2025, all of the tires had low pressure. I returned to the orange city, FL tire kingdom per the managers' (brittany) request and the mechanic filled all of the tires and said that they were not completely filled when they were installed. The following day, Friday, 8/29, I began my return trip to my home in north carolina. Within a few hours, the driver’s side front tire exploded and my truck was on the rim of the tire, swerving into the adjacent lane on I-95. I was able to get the truck off of the highway, onto the nearest exit ramp without being hit. I have never been that close to being killed on the interstate. [xxx] came and put the spare on and while I was waiting along the highway I called tire kingdom and was advised by [xxx] at the orange city store to take the truck to the nearest mavis or tire kingdom. The nearest one was mavis in brunswick, GA, about 30 minutes north of the incident. The brunswick store was closing and I was advised to bring my truck in at 8:00 am. I stayed at a hotel nearby and had the truck there at 7:45 am. I was told that they did not have four replacement tires in stock and could probably have them by Tuesday as it was labor day weekend. They stated that they could replace only the blown tire and “take a look” at the other three tires. There was absolutely no concern for my safety or welfare, and no appreciation of the amount of risk I would be undertaking to continue to drive on the other tires. I went to firestone and replaced all of the tires and returned home safely. I contacted tire kingdom three more times and was advised to return the tires to the asheville, nc mavis tire store for evaluation. The manager, [xxx] and a mechanic inspected all of the tires and immediately stated that all of them were defective. The belt had separated, the sidewall was weak, and the rim/beading was bent. 2 Tire Bead problem of the 2015 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 05/01/2013

2015 Ford F-250. Consumer writes in regards to failed michelin tires on vehicle. The consumer stated the tires have failed on 3 different occasions. The first time the tire was shredded. The last two occasions they were found to be cracked around the bead of the tires, after the rims were removed.

3 Tire Bead problem of the 1999 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 07/28/2002

On 7-28-02 I was driving westbound with my 26' fifth-wheel trailer on u. S. 90 east of syracuse, n. Y. When I felt a slight shimmy in my steering. The shimmy soon became a severe wobbling so I slowed down and pulled off the highway at the first exit I came to in syracuse. On examining the tire I saw that the steel core had separated from the tire. I put on my spare tire and the next day continued by trip. On 8-7-02 I was northbound on north dakota 281 south of jamestown when I felt another shimmy in the truck near highway 34. This time I discovered that the steel core of the left rear tire had separated the same as the first. In the first instance I contacted local Ford and firestone dealerships and was told by both that these tires are no longer warranted and there was nothing they could do to replace them.

4 Tire Bead problem of the 2000 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 10/04/2000

With less than 10,000 miles on the truck, I have had two of the tires break beads, causing the tires to loose their air pressure. Neither time caused major damage to the tire, or to the vehicle, but they have proved to be unreliable, and possibly dangerous. I have heard that they are being looked at for recall, and based on my limited experiences, I would have to agree with the recommendation. I feel very aprehensive every time I get in my truck. 5 Tire Bead problem of the 2000 Ford F-250

Failure Date: 08/20/2000

#1 bubbles appeared at about 11000 mi. #2 sidewall blew a flap about 6 in. Long along the bead and tore out the inner fender on the left rear wheel well. #3 tire was replacement for #1 or #2 after about3300 miles noticed vib noticed ridge around circumfrence of tire took to sears and had checked found to be defective. The tires came as original equip on f250 super duty 2000 ,model I've had general tires years ago which bubbled an side wall . ( dot number: ador tire size: l2358516e ).

6 Tire Bead problem of the 1996 Ford F-250

Tires are cracking around the bead on the rim. I have contacted cooper about this and was told my suspension is stiff causing the tire to flex more than normal. I have contacted les schawb, and big o tire companies about this statement, and was told this is totally wrong. Cooper has replaced 4 sets of tires in 2 years. They made sure that dot numbers did not match on three occasions. Cooper has told be I will no longer receive tires becasue I have a load range d tire, and Ford recomends a load range e. The tire I have purchased will carry aprox 500lbs more than the tire Ford recomends. This is why les schwab and big o tires are saying cooper is trying to get out of their responsibility of replacing a defective product. (dot number: 28161-3 tiresize: 285/75/r16).
