Failure Date: 06/23/2002

Truck was parked in level driveway and jumped from park into drive and rolled thru fence, pasture, and shed. Damage was caused to fence, shed and truck. My horse was moderately injured due to truck crashing into shed and horse running thru fence. Ford stated that this type of thing can happen at any given time when a vehicle gets a lot of miles and parts get weak.

2 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem of the 2001 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/15/2001

Vehicle would intermittently jump out of four wheel drive into two wheel drive. Dealer was notified and the problem has been reoccurring. . Consumer stated the dash says the vehicle is in 4 wheel drive, however when consumer tries to move the vehicle the rear tires will spin.

3 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem of the 2000 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 12/24/2000

Truck was parked on a car port (covered). Truck in gear and parking brake on. I was in garage at bottom of hill. Truck rolled off car port struck an old junk car half way down hill and drove it through the garage door and pinned me on the back wall of the garage. I believe truck was in gear and parking brake on. Police confirmed parking brake was on when they pulled me from accident.

Failure Date: 06/30/2000

Vehicle jumped out of gear and rolled back. Consumer was not parked on an incline. Please provide further details.

5 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem of the 1999 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/11/2000

Transmission system malfunctioned, which while reversing and pulling a trailer, transmission overheated and burned out. Dealer redesigned the transmssion and cooling system. Vehicle was still experiencing the problem, and vehicle downshifted, it did not slow down the vehicle. Please provide further information. The vehicle is not equiped with mechanism to control vehicle's speed when descending steep grades. The transmission failed twice prematurely. The transmission also over heats under heavy load and when driving in reverse.

6 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem of the 1999 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 01/07/2000

When on a downhill of about 20-25 degrees when vehicle is placed in park after a couple of seconds it will roll 2-3 feet then stop this is duplicabale although after 2 times it will not do it again until on level surface and then back on hill. I almost rolled thru my gate at my house.

Failure Date: 01/30/1997

Safety feature on vehicle failed and child was able to put vehicle in gear without pressing on the brake and without ignition being on. Claim was filed, vehicle will be seen by adjustor on 1/31/97.

9 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem of the 2000 Ford F-350

When vehicle is parked in gear with emergency brake either engaged or disengaged, vehicle jumps out of gear. Dealer has yet to be contacted. Please provide further details.
