2025 e-350 safety recalls* main control valve body or transmission replacement recall incomplete as transmission controls highway speed at 60mph and higher. Recommended for all 2025 e-350 to be reported as undrivable and brought in immediately for safety recall, and highway safety International. Please broadcast as amber alert and/or new cast notifications.
I purchased this 2024 f350 from auto park Ford in laporte, in on July 14th 2025 with 94 miles on the truck. It was shipped directly to me and arrived July 21st 2025. Upon taking delivery there were many safety faults present once I drove the vehicle that included loss of power, the vehicle randomly braking by itself, adaptive cruise control faults, cross traffic faults, blind spot warning faults, forward collision faults, rear cross traffic faults, rusty engine components as well as other rusty components on the vehicle. These safety defects in manufacturing materials, workmanship, improper storage by the selling dealer, and selling of a defective vehicle to me has put myself and my family in an unsafe vehicle. The vehicle has been at the local Ford service center since July 22nd 2025 with the service department stating there is no fix for these issues and is a known issue by Ford. My safety and my family's safety has been put at risk by the vehicle's loss of power, random braking applications, and rusty engine components. These issues were confirmed by pierre Ford of lynnwood service department. The repair report states "verified warning faults present. Self test numerous dtc's present in abs mod. C0051 ppt q q1 yes, q2 no yo23a found ssm 53892 stiiding this is a know issue with no fix currently. Updated abs module and awd module road tested dtc's came back". The service center informed me that I could come pick up the truck and there may be a fix in the future. I asked them to keep the truck as it's a major safety concern for myself and my family to operate this truck with all the safety faults, loss of power, random braking, etc. The vehicle will have been at the dealer 21 days by Monday 8/11/25. I have contacted Ford about this issue and requested a buyback, vehicle replacement, a fix, and have gotten no where. I have submitted a lemon law buy back claim because of the many safety issues, but they have put my claim on pause for an addition 30 days.

The fan clutch assembly failed and as a result the drive mode would not change from tow/haul mode to any of the other 4 drive modes. Accelerations and decelerations were negatively affected as a result creating safety hazards when driving. The engine was always responding as if a trailer were attached and subsequently accelerations were difficult and decelerations consistently utilized the trailer engine braking system, similar to semi-trucks utilizing the jake-braking systems, this is a significant safety issue and needs to have a recall issued for the replacement of these fan clutch assemblies.

Driverside rear axle snapped. There is a recall right now for the 2023 with similar issue. The truck is sitting at murray Ford in kingsland,GA waiting parts to completely replace a new axle. It does go into park or anything.
My 2022 f350 transmission went in and out of gear driving down the high way it would slam in gear and cause a u. Safe driving condition . The dealer wants to rebuild it for the second time in two years or 40,000 miles sad the ten speed had issues Ford does not really want to help thank you [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. Our 2020 Ford F-350 experienced a catastrophic mechanical failure while in motion. The driveline disconnected, the rear axle locked up, and the transmission bellhousing was destroyed—leaving the truck completely immobile and blocking traffic. This occurred with no prior warning and posed a significant crash risk. At the time, Ford safety recall 22s22 (related to a known defect in the transmission’s output planetary four assembly) was open and had not yet been completed. The symptoms and failure we experienced match the failure scenario described in Ford's own bulletin for 22s22: driveline separation, internal transmission damage, and loss of control or park function. Ford has denied coverage, stating the failure was due to a "loose pinion flange nut" and unrelated to the recall. However, they have not provided any inspection documentation, photos, or evidence that the recalled components were properly inspected or ruled out as the root cause. We have repeatedly requested this documentation from both Ford and the dealership, but neither has provided it. We are concerned that the failure was caused by the exact defect identified in recall 22s22, and that Ford is failing to take responsibility or follow full recall procedures—including post-failure inspection and transparency. We are requesting that NHTSA investigate this case as a potential mishandling of a known safety defect and failure to comply with recall responsibilities.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 sd. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, the vehicle was shuddering abnormally while shifting from second through fourth gear. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and a claim was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 100,100.
Transmission lunges forward or reverse when placed into gear from park. Transmission fails to shift or hard shifts while moving through low range. Shifting is soft or prolonged in some higher range with a noticeable lag.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated and jerked while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a diagnostic test was performed. The contact was informed that an unknown part inside the transmission was defective, and that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained in the dealer's possession and had yet to be repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline to file a safety complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
Since my vehicle has been in warranty I've had intermittent issues where my vehicle loses track of what gear its in and forces downshift to 1st gear. For the most part this only happened when I was going slower speeds. I told my Ford dealer about it but they said there were no recalls for it. On Wednesday while driving at highway speeds my dash lights indicating the transmission position began to flicker then my vehicle downshifted to first gear locking up the tires and screeching me to a near halt.
The first and only notification received was the April 5, 2025 email. The 2000 f350 did experience issues of stalling on the road many times. After several thousand dollars of repairs, the camshaft position sensor was replaced by a commercial diesel mechanic. No warnings of any kind were displayed. The truck stalled on the freeway ramp and other streets. These issues occurred since 2000 when the truck was purchased. The lack of notification and choice of fix caused danger and a lot of repair costs. This is unacceptable.

1. Spark plug wire failures: oincident 1: on December 15, 2024, a spark plug wire failure on cylinder #1 caused a misfire and check engine light (code p0301), reducing engine power while towing a 10,000-pound trailer on I-90. Wendle Ford spokane repaired it under warranty. Oincident 2: on April 10, 2025, another failure on a different cylinder triggered a misfire and check engine light, requiring a $766 repair (invoice attached). These failures are a known defect in 2020–2022 super duty trucks, per owner forums and a 7. 3l motorhome technical service bulletin. Osafety risk: misfires reduce power and control, endangering occupants and other drivers, especially during heavy towing in winter conditions. 2. Front differential failure: oon April 5, 2025, the front differential failed, disabling 4x4 throughout the 2024–2025 winter. Discovered during a snowstorm on a rural job site, the loss of 4x4 compromised traction and stability, requiring a one-week repair. Osafety risk: loss of 4x4 in adverse conditions increases the risk of skidding or stranding, particularly for a heavy-duty truck used in construction.
While driving my 2017 Ford F-350 equipped with the 6r140 transmission, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete transmission failure due to a valve body malfunction. Without warning, the transmission lost all ability to engage gears, resulting in an immediate loss of power and drivability. This failure occurred while the vehicle was in motion, presenting a serious safety risk to both occupants and other motorists — especially in high-speed or high-traffic situations. The risk is further compounded when the vehicle is towing, as it may increase stopping distance, reduce control, and leave the driver stranded in unsafe conditions. This type of failure appears to be part of a broader pattern affecting this transmission platform, which raises significant concerns about its reliability and safe operation under normal usage. There were warning lights or other symptoms prior to the failure. The damage has since been remedied, with an astounding out of pocket cost of $8,300 for a total transmission rebuild.

The contact stated that the transmission shifted hard into gear, and the vehicle was shaking erratically. Additionally, the engine overheated. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Ford knew there was an issue back in 2021 as they so filed with your agency. Yet waited. Then warranty claims continued. Now, four years later they file as a safety issue, but have told me twice in phone calls that I can drive the truck, despite it could shut down on it's own while driving. I tow donated RV trailers to the north carolina disaster, now I cannot as my dealership advised I not go on long trips. Ford refuses a like loaner, or any loaner at all. This is a Ford issue, not mine nor the dealership and Ford needs to either replace all suspected parts, have a resolution now or proved no charge loaners of like kind to all owners. This approach by Ford is totally unacceptable as they in two phone calls to corporate never once said to not drive the truck and the letter I received said they are not advising we park the truck.

The transmission slips and hard shifts. I honestly believe the dealership knew and sold it to us knowing since we found out afterwards it's a known issue and in the bulletin about the truck.
Cdf cylinder failure in transmission leading to multiple hard shifts that could cause loss of traction and slick roads.
Due to a recall, the vehicle computer was reprogrammed by local dealer, griffith Ford, in san marcos, texas. After the reprogramming, the engine and transmission starting to rev differently and could not shift gears smoothly as previous to the reprogramming. The transmission and engine does not synchronize correctly. The transmission tries to do more than 6 speeds when the transmission is a 6 speed transmission. Turbo is also not as smooth as previously. Possibly the new program used to reprogram the computer is either for newer vehicles with different engines and/or transmissions.

Put it into drive and it went in reverse at least twice now (I'm assuming that's the transmission control modular. . . ?) luckily we didn't hit anyone and it's happened at home or a drive thru. . . . No. . . Not yet. . . . It says our truck isn't part of the recall the year had (had no idea there even was a recall for it until it had the issue, and trying to figure it out and someone told us about it the same day the issue occured). . . . . There were no other indicators of prior issues or warnings to it happening. . . .

This truck has 20,000 miles. I experienced what’s called the death wobble which nearly shook the truck off the road. The dealership told me a $2000 dollar duel steering stabilizer would fix the problem. I reluctantly payed for it as they said the lift voided the warranty. The truck is still not fixed and my wife nearly went off the road today driving it. I read online that a stabilizer doesn’t fix the problem it only masks the symptoms. I’m certain the dealership knows this.

I have been experiencing issues with my transmission. I took the truck to the Ford dealership in poteau, oklahoma. I was informed the vehicle was having the same issues as the transmissions that were on a recall list, yet my VIN number was not one on the list. I did receive a recall notice from Ford in 2022 timeframe, but was not having issues at the time I receive the notice. On August 15, 2024, I contacted Ford headquarters and was told. . . "your vehicle does indeed fit the criteria of the affected vehicles, but your VIN number is not on the list of the affected vehicles. We cannot tell you why your vehicle is not on that list, but I would suggested that you contact (NHTSA) and ask for your VIN be added to the list. I recommend you do that as soon as we hang up. " the moment I ended the call with Ford headquarters, I contact a representative with (NHTSA) as recommended. The representative stated the first step, to file a claim. So thats where im at now. I would like to ask that my VIN number be added to the list of recalls on the document attached, seeing my truck fits all aspects of the current recall. Ford 10r140 transmission issues: transmission has harsh engagement, clunks and slams into gear. Transmission gets stuck in between gears while in motion at all speeds while driving on city streets or on the freeway. Transmission lurches forward when shifting from park into drive even when applying the brake and when the parking brake is engaged. This transmission is unsafe and unreliable!!!!.
The transmission delay shift from 3rd to fourth gear can be seconds then slams. I'm in minnesota and when the roads are slick it will make the truck swing sideways when it goes into 4th. Well known problem but my truck doesn't have a TSB so everything is fine. Not!.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated while the vehicle was in the automatic car wash, water entered the vehicle from the front windshield.
