Has 2 Ford trucks, f350 models, 1999 and2000. Both cars pull to right when brakes are applied.
Brake rotors repeatedly warp. First time, dealer covered under warranty at 12937 miles. Second time, dealer claims that warranty repairs for brakes are not covered after 12000 miles. Air conditioner totally failed last summer--so far working ok.
While making a sharp right turn and applying the brakes vehicle would not steer and kept going. Driver hit a little embankment and ended up in a hay field. Air bags did not deploy when this happened, and no one was injured. Vehicle was towed to the dealership for repairs. Also, whole steering gear box was being replaced because the shaft broke.
From delivery, abs and check engine light intermittantly stay on. El;ectrical system sometimes 'stumbles' and looses voltage. . . As if it is going to stall. . Then it corrects itself until the next time driving is very difficult at times due to poor front shock/spring setup. . Must fight to keep on road at times. I have had to place 500 lb. Weight in rear to improve this somewhat.
While traveling 30 mph and as a result of an head-on accident, air bag did not deploy, causing injury to consumer. Dealer has been notified.
Every 20,000 miles rotors went out. Front end bounced around, and stopping distance had increased. This was the 3rd time that rotors wore out. Dealer said it was because of improper braking.
While driving and pulling a trailer in wet weather conditions ,and trying to apply the brakes, truck started to slide one way and the trailer went the other, causing the trailer to smash into the back of the vehicle.
While driving down the road experienced excessive braking fading and vibration. Contacted dealers, who stated that brakes could not could not be fixed, and wouldn't be fixed.
Consumer was slowing down for sharp curb & applied brakes, front wheel locked up. Vehicle went over bank of hill, heading toward a lake & eventually stopped sliding. Dealer and certified mechanic stated that nothing was wrong with it. Rotors seem to be warped. Front wheels squeal and grab when brakes are applied, excess dust was found in rear brake drums. Dealer stated that front end could not be aligned, after market comber bushings were installed on vehicle which was able to be aligned.

While stepping on brake pedal, lost all sterring control-unabe to steer vechicle.
While pressing on brakes, vehicle fails to stop, causing extended stopping distance. Vehicle also pulls to left or right when applying brakes. Dealer has been notified. The manufacturer says that the heavy weight of the vehicle caused the brake problem. Also, rough roads confuse the computer resulting in brake pedal going to the floor.
Abs brakes; when pushing on the brakes consumer cannot turn the wheel.
Experiencing ongoing problem with front rotors going out of round. Rotors had been replaced on two previous occasions within 35,000 miles of wear. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.

While driving vehicle about 30 mph consumer said when applying the brakes trying to stop, the abs locks up, grabing the brakes. Manufacturer and were contacted.
Brakes started locking up/grabbing, and vibrating, at 8,000 miles, and continued at 48,000 miles. Dealer has been unsuccessful in repair of the brake system. I cannot drive an unsafe vehicle. Help!.
The brakes on this f350 truck lock up intermittently, front and rear, and has done this since about 8,000 miles. The dealer has made many, many unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem. Since the problem is intermittent, when the Ford rep was called and came to investigate the brakes were working fine at that time. We have tried to get them to take the vehicle and drive it for more than 5 mins. To check it and he said he did not have time. We have worked with the dealer until we feel we can no longer drive this vehicle. It is unsafe. Several people at the dealership have driven it and have had the brakes lock up but not the person in "authority" to report to Ford. Even an outside service person has driven it and experienced the locking up of the brakes. We are seeking legal counsel at this point since we are getting no help. We have tried to get Ford to buy back the vehicle and they are not willing to do this at this point. So I have requested an arbitration package from the Ford customer assistance center today. They refused to send me copies of the reports I have called in to them concerning this problem too. So it leaves me no choice but to move on. Ford has been unwilling to listen. Maybe they will listen in court.
Consumer was driving approximately 45mph when he took his foot off the gas pedal to begin slowing down for entering the beltway, when he tried to press the brakes again, he noticed that the vehicle did not have any brakes.
Intermittently, the abs braking system malfucntioned, causing extended stopping distance and pedal going to the floor. Cause unknown. Please provide further information.

Abs problem; when applying the brakes during normal braking/ dry road conditions/ regular road surface, the truck pulls real hard to the left, the dealer is unable to correct the braking problem, and stated that the braking system was normal.
Abs: pumped brakes while coming to stop, rearended/locked up, problem has occurred six times since purchase, repaired 2 times, no accident.
While traveling normal highway speeds, dual wheel brakes overheat, causing rear wheels to drag, brakes fade when hot, driver has had to put vehicle in reverse and back to release brakes, drums and shoes have been replaced 2 times, vehicle has been in shop five times, this is an intermittent problem.
The left rear wheel locks up in a normal braking situation. The dealer has worked on this (7) times. The system has abs.
Truck is equipped with rear abs. When making a rapid stop and the rear end hits a bump instead of the abs modulating the brakes it releases all of the brakes. This has happened 3-4 times since I have had the truck and this problem is not isolated to just my truck. Checking the forums at Ford-diesel. Com there are lots of others out there with this same problem. Dealers have told them it is normal. I don't buy it. The only way to regain braking is to let up on the pedal, then quickly reapply. There have been a couple of times when I just barely had time to do that. It is very scary because it is not like most abs where the pedal will pulse. This acts as if the brakes have just totally released, and the pedal drops. I don't understand, nor does anyone else with the problem why the front brakes let go. If it is only rear wheel abs then why do we lose the front brakes also? this is very dangerous because you really can't predict when it will do it. I know that I am very wary of the possibility that a little hop of the rear wheels during hard braking can cause this and drive cautiously. No problem with a load in the back of the truck, but with a light rear it can happen anytime. I am surprised no one has been hurt.

Intermittently when the brakes are applied the pedal is normal, but vehicle experiences extended stopping distance. Dealer has not been able to duplicate the problem.
While driving at a low rate of speed, going around curve, consumer applied brakes and steering locked up. Lost control, causing vehicle to hit guardrail.
Intermittently when applying brakes pedal becomes hard, resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer has inspected and repaired vehicle several times, and problem still occurs.
Intermittently when brakes are applied vehicle experiences extended stopping distance.
Brakes system is continually in for repairs.
When applying the abs brakes on wet or dry pavement the pedal goes to the floor, causing extended stopping distance, cause unknown. Please give any further details.
When applying the brakes vehicle pulls to the left, and then jumps back to the left. Also the vehicle vibrates when brakes are applied. Dealer can't find the cause of the problem.
