I purchased this 2024 f350 from auto park Ford in laporte, in on July 14th 2025 with 94 miles on the truck. It was shipped directly to me and arrived July 21st 2025. Upon taking delivery there were many safety faults present once I drove the vehicle that included loss of power, the vehicle randomly braking by itself, adaptive cruise control faults, cross traffic faults, blind spot warning faults, forward collision faults, rear cross traffic faults, rusty engine components as well as other rusty components on the vehicle. These safety defects in manufacturing materials, workmanship, improper storage by the selling dealer, and selling of a defective vehicle to me has put myself and my family in an unsafe vehicle. The vehicle has been at the local Ford service center since July 22nd 2025 with the service department stating there is no fix for these issues and is a known issue by Ford. My safety and my family's safety has been put at risk by the vehicle's loss of power, random braking applications, and rusty engine components. These issues were confirmed by pierre Ford of lynnwood service department. The repair report states "verified warning faults present. Self test numerous dtc's present in abs mod. C0051 ppt q q1 yes, q2 no yo23a found ssm 53892 stiiding this is a know issue with no fix currently. Updated abs module and awd module road tested dtc's came back". The service center informed me that I could come pick up the truck and there may be a fix in the future. I asked them to keep the truck as it's a major safety concern for myself and my family to operate this truck with all the safety faults, loss of power, random braking, etc. The vehicle will have been at the dealer 21 days by Monday 8/11/25. I have contacted Ford about this issue and requested a buyback, vehicle replacement, a fix, and have gotten no where. I have submitted a lemon law buy back claim because of the many safety issues, but they have put my claim on pause for an addition 30 days.

The secondary break line Ford p/n hc3c 2234 ac ruptured during hard breaking. Lost the ability to break safely. Close examination of the break line reveals that the stainless steel braid had been chaffing on metal structure.
When you start the vehicle the brake pedal falls to the floor and you can not stop it. Also at a stop the brake pedal slowly falls to the floor. According to the dealer they don’t know what causes this and it still does it. They said no abs lights came on so this is normal. I don’t think it’s normal if I put it in reverse and can not get it to stop because the pedal recedes out of my reach. The truck kept going in reverse the brakes wouldn’t stop it.

When pulling a trailer the breaks are delayed by at least 8 seconds. The hand break normally does it instantly but no longer. This is a safety issue when pulling trailer that it pulling over 20k lbs & not being able to stop immediately when placing you foot on the break. Vehicle was look at by Ford dealership who stated they have had many complaints regarding this issue to contact Ford motor company.
On 7/2/24, I went to robinson brothers Ford in baton rouge, la to address an unrepaired recall item on a 1994 f350. The service advisor refused to perform the recall work. They stated that the vehicle was too old. This recall is concerning an issue with a switch that can leak break fluid and cause an engine fire.

I intermittently lose trailer brakes when towing my trailers on my 2023 Ford f350. I have two trailers and both trailers give me intermittent faults saying "trailer disconnected' or "trailer turn signal lights not working", but the trailer is connected and the lights are working - but the brakes do not. I know this is a truck issue because both trailers have no issues with my 2017 Toyota tundra. I have independently tested this theory with both trucks and trailers multiple times but only have the issue on the Ford truck. It seems to either be a bad 7-pin connector that randomly faults, or something with the trailer brake controller. It is very scary as I do not want to lose brakes when towing. I bought this truck specifically for towing my trailers. I have taken the issue to auburn Ford, here in auburn California and they tested the truck and found no issues. But my hunch is they are only using a 7-pin simulator, not an actual trailer.
Brake fluid leaking into cab from brake pedal making floorboard, brake pedal and gas pedal slippery.
When you drive this truck for extended periods of time the entire instrument cluster shuts off loosing blinkers lights and any indication of speed, among that if you're towing a trailer the trailer lights shut off, Ford has tried fixing it under warranty to no avail, now the truck is out of warranty and the issue is getting worse and they're not sure what's wrong. I also have videos of this issue.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-350. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 24v957000 (fuel system, diesel); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal after stopping, the vehicle was slow to respond. The contact stated that there was several minutes before the vehicle responded as needed. The contact stated that the failure occurred after coming to a full stop. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while towing a loaded trailer, the vehicle was losing traction, and the rear end was swaying to the right and to the left. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that during the failure there were several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that 3 months after purchasing the vehicle, the vehicle experienced brakes failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that all four brake pads and calipers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact stated that the failure recurred while depressing the brake pedal, with an abnormal metal-on-metal sound coming from the brakes. The contact stated that the brakes were independently slowing the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
On my 21 f350 while towing a 36 foot gooseneck unloaded I noticed a burning wire smell. And I realized I had no more trailer brakes. After diagnosis of the system I found the factory trailer brake controller had melted on the inside. Causing it to loose braking.
Trailer brakes continuously go out on multiple trailers with an associated right turn lamp fault. There was a related recall but did not cover all of the vehicles this is happening to. Manufacturer recall number: 22s17 NHTSA recall number: 22v193.

Experienced a hard death wobble going downhill towing an RV. Took truck to dealer (jones Ford in wickenburg az. ) they said it was brakes and rotors. Truck had 40,000 miles. Death wobble is a known problem. Not confident that it was only the brakes after reading what others have been told.
Lost all brake pressure, the pedal went to the floor while driving. This could have lead to a serious injury or death while driving.

Trailer brake control module shorts out intermittently causing trailer brakes to not work. This causes the vehicle and trailer to not be able to stop on time in a short distance. Dealer has confirmed that this is the issue. Error message is “trailer wiring fault” and “trailer disconnected” while driving with trailer attached.
Drivers side front brake line is passing thru the coil spring. While performing the trucks first break job I observed this. The passanger side is ok. Truck has not been any accedent. Dealer said no big deal, it hasn't failed yet. I am the original owner. Truck is not used for plowing or business. To me it looks like it was built with the wrong bracket or to short a line but I know the line should not go thru the spring. The potential for abrasion on the line is high. I have pictures of both sides of break lines.

The trailer brake controller randomly says trailer disconnected and will not apply the trailer brakes, but you can manually operate the brakes from the controller and they work fine, I have replaced every thing on the trailer brakes,wires,7pin plug, and I keep getting the same fault randomly( trailer disconnected). Ford tells me the unit is fine, well it is not, I have pulled the trailer with a chevy and a Dodge and the brakes work as they should. It happens everything I use it and after doing a google search, seems there many others with the same problem.
Brake rotors are glazing over after replacement, truck is rarely driven as its a weekend vehicle in town. I was told when I took in to dealership that the problem wasnt sticking calipers at the time but dealership didnt confirm checking, they just replaced the rotors and pads then sent me on my way. Now at current servicing the problem is re-occuring. The service tech is now attempting to re-charge me to diagnose and repair. I'm simply asking to verify if there was ever any recall related to this vehicle in the past to support my issue.
Brake controller error. Towing a small 6500lb trailer the Ford is only intermittently sending signal to the camper brakes. Error "trailer brake fault". Makes stopping at times take a longer distance. Is a potential safety concern and definitely causes wear on the Ford itself. Unfortunately my Ford wasn't covered by a previous recall for this known issue even though it was made in August of 2021.
Traveling on the highway at approximately 65mph. Encountered a bridge expansion joint and the front tires and steering wheel began shaking violently which resulted in loss of steering and brake control. Apparently, this is a known issue with these trucks.
I have experienced an extremely violent vibration/wobbling of the vehicle at freeway speeds on several occasions. During these times, it is very difficult to control breaking, steering the vehicle, making it nearly impossible. I felt very unsafe not only for myself, but also other vehicles around me as I was driving a heavy-duty vehicle on the freeway at a high speed with essentially no control. Although I was shaken up, I was able to regain control of the vehicle and continue on my way. There have been no reports or inspections at this time. Prior to this happening, there were no warnings or messages. This happens twice in 2 days while driving on a long trip. Both times this occurred while driving at 65-70 mph and driving over a small bump in road.

Today I was getting ready to blow some snow out of my driveway and had to move my truck. It's normally parked at a slight incline where putting it in park is usually sufficient and have never needed to use a parking brake. When I re-parked the truck, I had to put it in 4wd to get up in the driveway because we had a lot of wet slushy snow. So after I get it parked, I put it back in 2wd, put it in park, and turn off the ignition. I then got out of the truck and started over to the snow blower to get back to work. I suddenly started seeing the truck rolling backwards as if it was in neutral (which is was not). I was running towards the truck to try and jump in and stop it, and then it suddenly stopped on it's own. But I bet it rolled back a good 3 or 4 feet before it finally stopped. It actually set off the alarm system in the truck, which was no surprise rolling that far. I feel this is definitely a safety issue because if a small child was behind the truck, or even myself, it could have been disastrous.
On 4 separate occasions while driving my truck under 60 mph, the truck started shaking violently. The steering froze and the complete chassis, frame and body shook and felt like it was falling apart. It only subsided when I decelerated below 30 mph.
The vehicle has a gross combined weight rating (gcwr) of 30,000 lbs. While towing, the vehicle would show on the dash at intermittent times "trailer not connected. " when this occurs, the trailer brakes are no longer operating placing all braking on the tow vehicle with the potential for brake fade or complete brake failure and catastrophic loss. This intermittent failure of the electrical brake system does not occur on other tow vehicles that were equipped with after-market brake controllers, such as tekonsha. The vehicle was brought into the Ford dealership to look into the issue. Ford had the truck for nearly two weeks and could not figure out the problem. After much self-research, it was determined that the factory installed brake controller cannot discriminate between trailers using electric brakes and trailers using electric/hydraulic brakes. The fix is to install an actuator (etrailer code dx35fr - adapter module for brakerite electric over hydraulic actuator - oe Ford, gm brake controllers) on the trailer to provide resistance that will allow the factory installed controller to recognize the trailer/hydraulic brakes. A technician also advised that a work around would be to wire in small magnets to the wiring of the trailer to provide the resistance. The forums state that this occurs with trailers five years or older for which there are thousands on the road. This limitation/defect applies to the majority of trailers being towed on the highways today. Failure to advise drivers of this limitation/defect and the intermittent sequencing of the disconnection leaves non-professional, recreational drivers at significant risk of brake failure while towing up to nearly 30,000 pounds. Nhtsa should investigate why standard after-market brake controllers have no issues of this kind while the "supposedly" state-of-the-art new vehicle controllers are limited. It is my understanding that this same issue is found with gm and possibly ram products.
When connected to 5th wheel trailer, trailer brakes strength is very weak. Even when increasing the trailer braking gain up to 10 still not completely stopping trailer.
Was driving down the rd came to stop light and I had nothing for breaks. I quickly pumped brake and got it to slowdown and made the turn. Went to pull into hospital and had no breaks even tried pumping it again and still had no breaks.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 sd. The contact stated that while hauling a trailer, the brakes failed to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who updated and replaced the auxiliary power interface module (apim) several times. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. Additionally, the radio turned on without driver interaction. The contact stated that the forward collision avoidance system and the mirrors were turning on and off, the crash alert was engaged, and the brake applied without driver input. The steering wheel was vibrating. The manufacturer was contacted and declined a buy back of the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 100.
The emergency brake pads came off of the steel brake backing causing my rear tire to lock up. 1 of the 4 pads came off, broke and locked up the tire. After the repair I checked the other pads and noticed all 4 pads are coming off of the bonded steel emergency brakes. This is a very dangerous situation for anyone who experiences this situation while driving down the road.
