[xxx], [xxx] approx age 40 lives and works at [xxx]. [xxx] can also control the computers to cancel out and delete the use of catalytic converters, delete the use of def intake, delete the use of dpf particulate filters, and not react to controls such as manual braking or acceleration because the computer is controlling when and not the driver. [xxx] strictly states that he cannot have any emissions controls such as egr, def, dpf, catalyst, or any pollutant controls. [xxx] intentionally set it up to have flaws and be dangerous for one reason: to get the customer to keep returning again and again with vehicle problems, wiring electrical problems, performance problems, overheating problems, and never ending engine problems not to mention transmission problems because the transmission could not handle the increased output of the engine. The hydroboost and abs module and master cylinder that controls the brakes can be easily rigged so that when the driver stomps on the brakes, there is no braking action whatsoever for a 3-5 second delay before skidding the tires and locking the brakes. [xxx] altered the hydroboost and abs module and master cylinder and the electronic controls to the braking system. [xxx] [xxx] partner admitted the hydrobooster and master cylinder was the problem because he admitted what [xxx] did as sabotage to the customer’s truck. [xxx] deletes the dpf and def and the electronics rewiring the truck. [xxx] has a pattern of keeping customers vehicles for excessively long periods of time: 42 days to change batteries, change fuel pump change pcm fusebox and rewire truck. [xxx] has removed the all the catalytic converters and he has removed all the egr and emissions pollutant controls on [xxx]. [xxx] has sabotaged this truck’s braking system, electrical systems, fuse box wiring, electronic braking wiring, accelerator electronic control. 7 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2015 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 12/20/2018

This vehicle has 42,188 miles to date, and has been down for over 8 weeks due to sensor problems involving the egr and def system. 4 temperature sensors were initially replaced, and then the particulate sensor showed a fault. That sensor was $146. 55! as of today, that sensor is bad again and Ford states there is a updated one for $200. 99! the emissions warranty runs out as soon as you drive it off the lot! I have spent nearly $800. 00, and this vehicle sits, as the check engine light keeps it in limp mode. This vehicle is maintained in perfect condition. If the epa is going to require these emission standards, then vehicle manufactures should be liable for these costly repairs! I recently found out that there are delete kits to eliminate this issue. However they void the warranty and it is unlawful to do so. I can see why they are doing this. Frankly, I dont see the point in a "handful" of us trying to keep ours running to code, while others are ripping this pollution stuff off. I don;t see the point. However I am totallyl frustrated at a $70,000. 00 pickup that remains broke down. You can't even trade them off if they are having def issues. I read quite often about state, county and city vehicles that are having the same issues, and that keeps them off the road for snow plowing and a host of other duties. This issue needs addressed and resolved. Talk about a safety issue: driving home in the dark and this thing decides to limp off the road. Always a weekend or after hours. And service shops are so far behind it takes weeks to get in. This is outlandish that the us is trying to reduce emissions while the rest of the planet could care less. What is the point? I am a reasonable person, but I do not see the point. Clue me in please.

8 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2016 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 08/15/2017

Had truck taken in several times regarding loss of anti freeze told them every time I thought it was the inter oiler. They replaced other things said they had to do as manufacturers said. After several attempts with no luck. It finally ran out of warranty. They then replaced a egr cooler and said that was it charged me for it three days later the connecting rod went through the side of the motor and broke the crank in several places as they said it was out of warranty and tried to say I wouldn't leave it with them long enough they would not stand behind any of it including charging me for an egr cooler that had nothing wrong with it. Told me they had no idea what happened to it never seen anything like that before. They had the head pulled and what I say was very evident that antifreeze had flood a cylinder and locked it up. Can't believe I am the only one this has happened to. I do have photos and parts if needed. Was in motion date motor blew up is approximately can get exact if needed.

9 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2007 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 03/01/2017

6. 0 liter diesel engine needs oil cooler & egr cooler replaced every 100,000 miles according to Ford mechanics. My engine had this problem at 98,000 miles. The cooler is underneath the intake manifold making repairs very expensive. The mechanics tell me to watch for smoke, less power, etc. And to pull off the side of the road and call a tow truck when I experience those problems or I could destroy the engine. They said my engine oil is running much hotter than my engine coolant which could cause oil seals to begin leaking. There is no way to verify this problem. I don't have a oil temperature gauge in my truck just a oil pressure gauge. Ford needs to stop selling this engine or repair the problem.

10 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2012 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/25/2017

Egr cooler failure due to clogging, happens at regular intervals of about 20-30,000 miles. Dealers/Ford's answer to problem is to 'drive truck like its stolen' this is not an answer. This is a defective in the design of the egr cooler which allows clogging of the system, backpressure and turbo damage. A quick search of the internet show thousands of Ford 6. 7 diesel owners with same problem. Without correction from Ford this will cause owners to 'eliminate or bypass' the egr cooler system, resulting in higher emissions. Someone needs to look into this. It is not correct for a auto manufacturer to dictate how someone should drive a vehicle or to design a faulty component. I am now on my 3rd egr cooler, the last one was not covered under Ford warranty.

11 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2008 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 11/14/2016

I noticed a plum of white smoke out the tail pipe. That indicated steam, water in the system to me. All the gauges were normal and I stopped the vehicle and checked the fluid levels. No obvious problem. I called my local Ford dealership and they could not get it in for 36 hours. I drove it . 4 miles home and parked it. At the appointed time I drove to north country Ford. It took them another day to find the diesel mechanic who could work on the vehicle. 24 hours later I am told the engine is blown; fluid got into the manifold and was sucked into the # 3 cylinder. Depending on the amount of parts that could be salvaged the cost of replacement could exceed $ 12,000. This vehicle has 95,000 miles on it. It has had tow other incidents with the engine and drive train: in December of last year, in preparation for a trip to arizona I had the transmission serviced. About 1400 miles later the transmission began to slip when we encountered any hills or mountains. I parked the trailer and took the tuck to cassa Ford. They had the truck for 4 days and $ 1600. 00 worth of repairs. I asked if anything done at the time it was service or the driving from the first sign of trouble had caused or exacerbated the problem. They said no, it was a pump problem. In 2011, it began to blow black smoke out the tailpipe; the dash screen indicated it was cleaning the exhaust. Within 5 minutes the engine sputtered and died. I called Ford I was told to wait an hour and try to restart the vehicle; give the engine an opportunity to ¿re-set¿ itself. That didn¿t work! a tow was sent and the vehicle towed to nelson Ford dealer in fergus falls, minnesota. It was a failed egr valve. The repair was covered under warranty.

15 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2005 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 05/13/2014

Approximately 16,000 miles prior to this incident (96,450) the vehicle had a lack of towing power. I took it to Ford, and they told me that it was the egr cooler and oil cooler. The service manager advised me that this happens to every 6. 0 liter diesel. He stated they updated the coolers to fix the problem (pretty much admitting that they did not build it right). I searched online and found this to be true, but for some reason there is no recall. $4,730. 78 later, my vehicle was fixed. Although I do tow with the vehicle (that's what its made for), I baby the vehicle. I do oil changes every 3000 (recommended at 5000) and change the fuel filter 2 times a year (recommended every 12,000). Three years later and only 16,000 miles later (113,239) the vehicle again had a lack of power. I took it to Ford again, and they told me it was the egr cooler, oil cooler, and head gaskets. I told the service manager that I just had the egr cooler and oil cooler replaced, but it was out of the repair warranty. He said all of these trucks have these problems. $7,937 (discounted) and two weeks later I received my vehicle back. My family has used Ford diesel trucks for years and normally get 250,000 out of them before any major repairs. Ford does not stand behind their product like they used to. I will never buy another Ford.

16 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2004 Ford F-350

While driving vehicle has intermittent loss of power, diagnosed and serviced egr valve, replaced egr throttle valve and sealed the boost inlet tube.

17 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2011 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 04/10/2014

This is the 3rd. Time that a egt sensor has failed on my Ford F-350 diesel truck. This first time was in California in the desert travelling at 70 miles per hour. The truck shut down for no reason that I could see. I had a horse trailer with 5 horses on board and the temperature outside was 109 degrees in the desert. The truck was still under warranty and Ford took 4 hours to come and rescue us. The truck and trailer was towed to the dealership where they discovered egt #10 had failed and shut the truck down to protect the engine. The egt sensor was replaced. The second time I had just left the dealership and the truck turned itself off again 130 miles away from the dealership. Ford was called again and I was towed back to the same dealership. They discovered that egt sensor #11 had failed and was replaced. Gee, only 2 more sensors to go. Now on April 10, 2014, egt sensor #13 failed and I only stopped to get diesel fuel. I pulled out of the gas station and the engine just died in drive gear position. This time the dealership charged me for the service and part and failed to notify me of a recall on this matter and part. When pulling my horse trailer with prized and valued horses on board, I would hate to cause and accident or have an 18 wheeler rear-end me while stopped in the lane of a major interstate highway. I find it shameful that my own Ford dealership, or for that matter Ford motor company can take my $65,000 for a new purchase truck, but they can't inform me when my family, children, passengers or horses lives are in danger!!! I am also going to confront the dealership that charged me on April 10, 2014 for a recall that they say doesn't exist according to the Ford motor company computer system and database.

18 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2004 Ford F-350

19 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2006 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 02/04/2014

This year along with other years have a problem with the egr valve and turbo. I understand that there was a deal where Ford had to repair emergency vehicles with this same problem but not a normal everyday consumer. There are many complaints regarding this engine blowing head gaskets and egr valve issues which makes the truck suddenly have lose of power when driving along with other issues as smoking and engine lights going on. As you can read on line everyone that has had this problem is really frustrated and Ford will not stand behind this engine. The diesel truck should not have this problem at 79000 miles. This is why we have purchased this vehicle. I would think a decision had been made to put this engine in trucks knowing that there was an issue would stand behind it. I guess not enough people have been killed yet or seriously hurt. Just because Ford will not be reimbursed for the repairs they will not stand behind this problem after the warranty runs out. Which it has with us. I feel that something should be done. We have pulled a 15,000 lbs boat behind this truck and it could suddenly lost power and could have killed someone. Has my husband was driving it on a busy highway it suddenly lost power and starting smoking. Someone could have been seriously hurt but I guess because no one was and no one has been killed because of this problem no one will pay to repair. It is sad that our tax dollars help dig this car makers out of debt but they won't stand behind their workmanship. Why doesn't the safety board make Ford repair this issue. Many people are really frustrated and would like Ford to repair. It is not the consumers fault there was a bad engine. 2006 is not the only year. This is a large safety issue when you are driving and suddenly lose power on your vehicle at least I would think so.

20 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2008 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 01/04/2014

Was driving at approximately 40mp when the engine just stopped and lost power. This happened on 2 more occasions. Once while pulling out onto a busy street, and was almost hit by oncoming traffic. Cannot risk injury, so took it right to a reputable local diesel mechanic. Diesel mechanic states that entire fuel system must be replaced. Faulty hi pressure fuel pump disintegrated and sent metal thru fuel system. This will cost $8000 to fix. Was told this was the first year "bug" for a new design. Ford will not replace parts or warranty this. Common on this model, but definitely a safety hazard, as the truck may or may not stall when giving gas. It is unpredictable.

26 Gas Recirculation Valve (egr Valve) problem of the 2004 Ford F-350

Failure Date: 06/14/2012

We purchased this truck new to tow our 5th wheel. At 16,000 miles the turbo was replaced under warranty. Now at 31,412 miles, again, the turbo had to be replaced but this time at our expense. This second turbo rusted and was not repairable. Our truck has had all of the recommended maintenance done at the appropriate time/mileage. It has never had any after market equipment used on it or has it been abused in any way. This problem exists because of the poorly engineered and designed engine/egr system. It puts moisture into the turbo without a method to remove it. Ford needs to step up and stand behind this engine that they contracted International to engineer, design, and build for them. We implore NHTSA to step up and hold Ford responsible to their customers and their product with recalls to fix the inherent problems that this engine and vehicle present.

Failure Date: 05/08/2010

Engine dies and/or looses power. Happens at random times. The following items have been changed:ficm, , engine oil (thought problem due to oil pump), fuel filters, cam sensor switch, cleaned egr valve and all passages, replaced injector pressure controller, replaced egr valve. Last trip to dealer was may 3, 2010. No problems until today when pulling out of a side road onto main road engine died with vehicle blocking both lanes of traffic-push time--accident avoided only because no traffic. The basic problem with trying to get this vehicle repaired is no codes are set. After months of fails, it set a "bad ficm" code, changed ficm, no change in problem, repeated trips to dealer, finally get a "bad cam sensor" code, changed cam sensor, no change in problem. Dealer looked at egr, parameters determined to be out of limits, cleaned egr & all associated passages, ran fine for 10 days, failed 3 days in a row, old dealer out of business, new dealer changed both ipc & egr at my direction since they reported to me both items could cause the problem, ran fine from may 3 to may 8, 2010. Multiple failures today with one leaving me blocking both lanes of traffic at us25 & double culvert, georgetown, ky. Get vehicle out of harm's way, get it restarted, fails multiple times, then decides to run ok.
