Exhaust manifolds cracked on both sides of motor. Death wobble in front suspension,four wheel drive. Driving on interstate doing 70 mph.

While preparing for a camping trip this pass summer, I went to check the oil level. When I went to remove the oil dipstick, the dipstick tube broke, due to corrosion. This is the first time in my 25 years of owning a vehicle for that to happen. It would be alright, but in order to replace the tube, it is required to remove the exhaust manifold to properly replace it. In turn it cost more money to replace a product that should not break. I was fueling my truck and wanted to check all my fluids.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-350 sd. The contact stated while the vehicle was idle with pressure applied to the brake pedal the it lunged forward with a sudden increase in the rpms. In addition, an unexpected acceleration occurred when the vehicle was in motion. The failure occurred sporadically. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on numerous occasions for the similar failures. The technician stated the failure was contributed to the diesel fuel consumed in the vehicle. They also recommended the manifold and erg valve be replaced. After the erg valve was replaced the failure continued to occur. The manufacturer was not made aware of the acceleration defect. There were no additional repairs performed on the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

I called Ford motor company my 2003 Ford f350 sd. Sc. 4x4 5. 4 eng. With the problem with both exhaust manifolds rotting away & the studs & nuts that hold the exhaust manifolds to engine heads that they were all rotting away , they told me we won't fix the problems for free . I would like for to investegate this problem before many people will get injury or many fatality will happen when the exhast manifolds fall off and catch on fire & burn up because fire comes out of the engine to the exhaust manifolds . I talked to many Ford dealers they told me that they have replaced many of these exhaust manifolds with the same problems I have & had to charge the owner of these trucks & many other years of these Ford trucks . Please help me & many other owners of these Ford trucks to make Ford motor company recall this problems before people will die & fix this problem for free . Thanks.

I called Ford motor company on my 2003 Ford f350 sd. Sc. 4x4 5. 4 eng. I would like for your help to make Ford motor company fix this problems for free because I talked to many Ford dealers they are replacing this same problems on all 5. 4 eng. On Ford trucks and have to charge for these problems . Please investagate this problems before all these trucks will catch on fire and people will be injury or fatality will happen . Leased Ford 350 truck on 10/23/08. Noticed strange smell in the cab when idling or when heater or air conditioner was running. Took the vehicle into sunrise Ford dealership 8 times for this same issue and was not ever fixed until 9th time and they replaced manifold gasket . So all the while inhaling carbon monoxide poison. Needless to say only after 6 months of getting my Ford 350 I got a heart attack and had to get an operation on my heart. Then again July 4th 2011 had heart attack and had to get another operation on my heart; at first did not see the correlation until my spouse rode in the truck: eyes burned, migraine headache, and passed out when returned home and tasted exhaust the next day. That was the point that we alerted Ford and the dealership to fix the problem and finally on June 12th 2012 the sunrise dealership finally fixed the truck. The damage to my heart is irreversible and I am on constant medication . I need to be recompensed for this gross negligence from Ford and it affiliates because I am sole provider of 8 children an a veteran who served this country.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford superduty. The exhaust manifold leaked into the engine made a noise gives an odor that made the contact nauseous. The vehicle was taken to the dealer numerous times for the failure. The dealer diagnosis stated that the exhaust manifold and stud were installed incorrectly which caused the gasket to fail. The manufacturer stated that the warranty was no longer valid; therefore they would not assist with the repair. The failure mileage was 3,000 and the current mileage was 66,000.

Contact had a 2004 Ford F-350 super duty truck and the studs to the manifold rusted. Consumer noticed this about 3 weeks ago on 7-8-05. The dealer stated this was normal wear. The truck had 78,000 miles on it. This is the first time she had problems with the manifold. The dealer stated consumer needed to get the studs replaced at her own expense.

Spark plugs blew out? truck is now sitting at the Ford dealership. I have only owned this truck for 8 months and have never heard of anything like this happening on any vehicle prior to this.

When vehicle is not moving and the a/c,heater or defrost is on there is a very strong smell of exhaust coming thru the vents often times enough to make a person light headed and dizzy. I spoke to my local Ford dealer and they said there is nothing they can do.

2005 Ford f350 experienced solenoid transmission problems. The solenoid transmission problem occurred 50 days after the purchase of the vehicle. The brake booster failed and the high pressure engine oil pump had broken down.

2005 Ford super duty F-350 6. 0 diesel truck. Heavy exhaust smell enters the interior/passenger compartment through ventelation system. This symptom occurs on a daily basis and continues no matter if heater is on or windows rolled up or down. Ford motor CO has declined to repair symptom.

Faulty exhaust manifold bolts break off and cause excessive noise, exhaust enters the drivers cabin, vehicle will not pass emissions inspection and is expensive to repair. I have 4 Ford vehicles with this problem. First incident was at around 50,000 miles and 48 months after purchase. Ford refused to make repairs under any portion of the factory warranty. They claim lifetime emissions warranty doesn't cover it, nor the 100,000 powertrain warranty. I have spent over $8000. 00 making repairs to these exhaust manifolds. Triton v-10 gas engine.

Dt: bought truck 11-15-01. Since then you have had repaeted problems with the front hub bearings. The 1st time they went out was 12-12-01, again on 2-11-02, and 2-14-02. Again 4-23-03. Now currently out again. In the past Ford has worked with this issue, now will not. 3-15-05 new engine was installed, now has check engine light on and knocking noises. Dealer is refusing repairs unless pays out of pocket.

Studs that kept exhaust manifold on engine block broke on right side, causing exhaust leak. This happened before on left side. Also, at 36000 miles Ford replaced motor due to engine knocking.

Excessive smoke comes out of the tailpipe during cold starts.
