I have about 54000 miles on a 2019 Ford super duty 350 with the power stroke 6. 7. Engine light went on and its at willowbrook Ford in illinois. Emission problem with particular sensor code 22e02. The cost of repair is between $816 plus another $1259 if it is cracked. This is absolutely ridiculous. After researching this is a big Ford problem. So they sold some trucks without them and have eliminated them on their 22 models. I think Ford should be responsible for the cost.

After using manual mode and brakes to slow down I went back to automatic mode without coming to a stop. I was turning left and it felt like I had let off the gas completely but I was pressing harder and harder but my truck wouldn't do anything and the gas pedal did nothing. Then a second later it aggressively accelerated and went back to normal. It did it once 2 weeks ago also when I was turning right and I thought it was just the proximity sensor or something thinking I was too close to a car or something and cut power but there was no beeping. I have it on the dash camera if that helps.

Driving uphill at approx 20mph near my home. Loud bang/explosion from engine or front driver-side wheel well. Red alarm flashed on instrument cluster (something like “front brake failure”) and strong odor of fuel or exhaust entered cab. I immediately pulled into a pullout and put vehicle in park when I noticed flames coming from the engine compartment through the gaps in hood and wheel well. I splashed a small amount of water on the driver side front tire, but the fire continued to grow. I backed away to a safe distance and called 911. Within 5 minutes, the entire engine compartment was on fire and I captured on video explosions as the fire raged local fire department arrived within 15 minutes, but the entire engine and cab had already been destroyed by fire. Had I been driving at high speed or with passengers, this incident could have resulted in serious burn injuries and death. Had I been driving during summer months, this incident would have caused a devastating wildfire. Had I been in traffic, I may have caused a multi-car wreck. There were absolutely no warning indicators that such a violent incident could occur. Tow truck driver said it may have been a fuel filter issue which has caused other super duty’s to experience sudden and catastrophic engine compartment fires. Minimal research showed me that nhsta is investigating Ford super duty for this very issue. My f350 is model year 2017. I also have video of fluids dripping from the burning vehicle and the droplets are on fire which leads me to believe that leaking fuel — possibly from a cracked plastic filter — may be to blame for this incredibly dangerous incident. The vehicles remains have been searched by California highway patrol and the remains are currently being investigated by state farm auto insurance claims experts.

On this day, I financed the vehicle and was promised that it was safe to be on the road. This is the second vehicle. He’s done this to me with. He gets these vehicles and just put stickers in the windows and then people break down or their lives are in jeopardy so I left there after I purchased the truck the following day I was driving and I noticed a bunch of defects which included a death wobble, front end parts being bad and engine light being on I took it to another shop and they said that it should’ve never even gotten an inspection sticker I also went on carfax. Com and found out that the vehicle did not go through any emissions test and being a diesel it’s supposed to that’s why the engine lights are on on the third day of owing it. The driveshaft snapped right off this dealership has multiple reviews and reports of being shady and just putting inspection stickers in the windows. He has somebody at another auto shop that he pays extra just to put the sticker in the window not only is this unsafe for other people it’s not fair and it’s illegal and he does it all the time every vehicle on his lot has issues and the inspections are not done at alll so many issues half of them shouldn’t even be on the road. The dealership is. Low priced auto in rome NY and the people who inspect are sharkeys auto in rome.

I have the 7. 3 gas engine. It is now sounding like a typewriter. I've been told I could have a $8,000 to $13,000 repair or total engine replacement. My truck is just under 97,000 miles and this has been a known issue for the job 1 engines. Ford is not taking ownership of these lifter/cam issue. I was told I could have my engine lock up on me while driving. I am autistic and have an autoimmune issue that cause me to have a disabilities. It does not seem right, that a long term, multiple Ford owner now could have their engine fail or lock up while I'm driving, not to mention I may need a complete new engine from this design error. From what I've read, the job 2 of these engines they've enlarged oil recyclers or something to correct this issue. Can you help us that have this major saftey issue?.

2015 Ford f350 6. 7 liter diesel turbocharger with only 58,000 miles malfunctioned while accelerating on to freeway without any prior warning indicators or symptoms. Immediately engine acceleration was reduced drastically causing freeway cars to nearly rear end my vehicle and other cars swerving to avoid accident. A message showed up simultaneously while reduced acceleration occured on vehicle’s dash display indicating something to the effect “reducing acceleration” and a yellow check engine icon lit up on dash display. I limped the vehicle to the side of freeway and shut engine off. Upon restarting engine discovered engine and turbo operated properly and was able to drive vehicle to a non-Ford service center to be repaired. The technician could not find anything wrong with the operation of the engine-turbocharger and cleared the trouble code. Drove vehical for approximately 500 miles and the same reduced acceleration problem re-occurred while accelerating on to freeway. Pulled vehicle over to safe area, shut engine off, re-started engine, engine and turbocharger operated properly, drove home and then to Ford dealership (check engine icon still lit). Discovered vehicle can not be smog tested with this intermittent problem due to check engine icon. My safety, my passengers safety, and others safety while driving on the freeway were put at high risk. The reduced acceleration problem does reoccur. Ford diagnosed the vehicle problem to be a bad turbo with an estimate of $5,100 dollars for removal and replace with new Ford turbocharger which only has a two year warranty. The repair work is currently in process. I consider this turbocharger to be pre-mature failure and a safety risk! this turbocharger intermittent failure in my opinion should be a mandatory recall and paid 100% by Ford.

Nhtsa complaint draft vehicle information: year/make/model: 2022 Ford F-350 VIN: [xxx] recall campaign: 25s75 / 25v455 mileage: 38606 problem description: my 2022 Ford F-350 is subject to recall 25s75/25v455 (low-pressure fuel pump failure). Ford notified me on July 8, 2025, that no remedy is currently available. The recall states the fuel pump can fail, resulting in a loss of fuel pressure and engine stall while driving. This creates a serious safety risk of crash or injury. Despite acknowledging the defect, Ford has not provided a remedy, a timeline for repair, or safe alternative transportation. I feel unsafe driving this vehicle, and I am still financially responsible for it. Safety concern: the risk of the engine stalling while driving, especially at highway speeds, creates an immediate danger to myself, passengers, and other motorists. Resolution sought: require Ford to provide a safe loaner or rental vehicle until a remedy is available, or require Ford to buy back or pay off the balance of this unsafe vehicle until the defect is resolved. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

There is an active recall on my truck and it is affecting my ability to use my truck for work purposes. I am not allowed to used a vehicle with an open, active recall, therefore I cannot use my truck. This recall has been active for more than six months and a remedy has not yet been identified. I am posting a complaint to try and speed up the recall process, which if I understand correctly is a software update for the engine to reduce biodiesel buildup in the engine which "could" cause loss of power.
1 month ago my vehicle intermittently would not shut off. You could hit the start/stop button and from all dash board appearances the truck was off, but the truck was still running. I resorted to pulling a circuit breaker to get the truck off. I found NHTSA 10226938 and replaced the battery junction box as prescribed. This fixed the vehicle for a few weeks, but now the issue is back. There is no water intrusion in the bsb junction box.

Ongoing fuel system failures related to recall 24s78 – request for escalated review to whom it may concern, my name is [xxx] , and I am the owner of two 2021 Ford F-350 6. 7l power stroke diesel trucks, both of which are affected by recall 24s78 / NHTSA campaign 24v957 concerning biodiesel deposit accumulation in the fuel system and a pending pcm software update. Vehicle information: VIN [xxx] VIN [xxx] both vehicles have already experienced critical failures that directly align with the described defect in the recall, including: failure of the cp4 high-pressure fuel pump repeated clogging of the water/fuel separator filter loss of power, extended crank times, and intermittent no-start conditions these issues occurred prior to the recall remedy being available and have compromised vehicle performance and safety. I am requesting: a full inspection and evaluation of the fuel systems under the scope of recall 24s78 once the software becomes available. Coverage or reimbursement for repair or replacement of the cp4 pump and related components if found to be caused by biodiesel-related damage as described in the recall. A formal service record entry acknowledging these failures for future reference and eligibility under the recall. Escalation of this issue to a Ford regional service manager, if needed. Given the significant safety risk and the known failure history of the cp4 fuel system, I ask that Ford address this matter thoroughly and beyond a software update, if necessary. Please confirm receipt of this inquiry and advise me on next steps. I can be reached phone: [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I have had multiple incidents of my truck shutting off completely while driving. The latest incident resulted in a "catastrophic engine failure". In the latest incident occurring in April 2025, I was driving on [xxx] . [xxx] is a two-lane highway with no divider, navigating through mountainous terrain. I was driving up a hilly area when my truck shut off, and I lost all power steering. There is no shoulder on this part of the freeway, with an approximate 40-foot embankment. I was able to navigate the vehicle to the side of the road and position it just before the beginning of a guard rail beginning allowing me some grace. Due to no shoulder space, I was effectively parked on the white containment line of the road. I had my [xxx] daughter and wife in the car. I had to wait for a break in traffic to be able to open the driver's door due to the proximity to the active highway. I was safely get the truck towed to the nearest Ford dealership, where it was determined the engine was in "catastrophic failure" due to oil engine overfill. I informed Ford that my last oil change was with the Ford dealership and within the recommended time frame. I was informed by a technician that there is an ongoing issue with this engine make (6. 4-liter, diesel). The technician stated that Ford is aware of the issue. The technician stated that fuel gets mixed with the oil and causes an "engine oil overfill". None of these issues stems from negligence but rather an unakknowledged issue by Ford. There was a check engine light that appeared at the time of failure. The check engine light had come on, at which point I contacted a mechanic to schedule an appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, the check engine light had disappeared, and I was told that no codes would alert if the actual check engine light was not on during the inspection. That same scenario occurred on approximately 3 occasions. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal burning odor and white smoke coming from under the hood. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact diagnosed the vehicle with an upper oil pan leak. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with the same failure and remained at the dealer for further repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Vehicle died while driving on the freeway. Towed to the local Ford who did a diagnostic and test they found that the engine is completely done with as there was an engine oil overfill, and it filled the cac system and melted cylinder eight piston. They’re saying that they will need to replace the entire engine and hp fuel pump in order to repair and I see many others have experienced this same problem.
1. Spark plug wire failures: oincident 1: on December 15, 2024, a spark plug wire failure on cylinder #1 caused a misfire and check engine light (code p0301), reducing engine power while towing a 10,000-pound trailer on I-90. Wendle Ford spokane repaired it under warranty. Oincident 2: on April 10, 2025, another failure on a different cylinder triggered a misfire and check engine light, requiring a $766 repair (invoice attached). These failures are a known defect in 2020–2022 super duty trucks, per owner forums and a 7. 3l motorhome technical service bulletin. Osafety risk: misfires reduce power and control, endangering occupants and other drivers, especially during heavy towing in winter conditions. 2. Front differential failure: oon April 5, 2025, the front differential failed, disabling 4x4 throughout the 2024–2025 winter. Discovered during a snowstorm on a rural job site, the loss of 4x4 compromised traction and stability, requiring a one-week repair. Osafety risk: loss of 4x4 in adverse conditions increases the risk of skidding or stranding, particularly for a heavy-duty truck used in construction.

The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.
Engine shuts off upon acceleration on the onramp to a interstate highway causing the Ford f350sd, 6. 7l diesel to come to a stop in the outside lane of interstate i81. Engine shutdown happened again on a 2 lane highway while passing a slow farm tractor. The problem has been confirmed by harrisonburg Ford, harrisonburg, va. The high pressure fuel pump is causing metal to be distributed throughout fuel system. The complete contaminated fuel system is required to be replaced by a high pressure fuel pump kit, which the dealer ordered against the workorder for my truck. For over a month now, my truck is parked in the dealer storage and stating they are waiting on approval to start repair. Note I have Ford's extended warranty. I've read online that many other owners of 6. 7l diesel trucks are having the same problems. I my opinion, a recall is certainly justified for this issue.

Unknown component that failed. Suspicion, the fuel system located at the back of the fire wall on drivers side. The fire started in that location and was extremely hot and fast moving. The truck was fully engulfed within 1. 5 minutes then burnt the attached 5th wheel trailer and contents. It was a total loss of 3 vehicles 2018 Ford f350, 2021 dutchman voltage 5th wheel trailer, and a 2013 polaris rzr side by side utv. All was reduced to rubble within 15 min. Our safety and lives were at risk, we had 30-45 seconds from smelling and seeing smoke to flames. We were traveling on interstate 15 at highway speeds and had to stop as safe as possible on the shoulder of the road. The vehicle has not been inspected as far as I know, the frame is all what is left. There were no warning lights and all gauges read normal,.
